Chief of Kurah #1

The Alien's Virgin

Rate this book
Kennedy Davis doesn’t quite know how she ended up in this strange place.

She’d left her shift at work and taken her dog out, only to find herself on a strange planet, amidst two hulking alien races battling for territory.

Most shockingly, she finds herself in the arms of Chief Garock, the resident alpha of the Kurah alien race.

Chief Garock does what all Kurah do in times of trouble: prays to the Spirit Tree for help. It’s the Harvest Celebration, and the competing Selith race has its sights set on overtaking as much land - and females - as possible.

When the tree bark splits to reveal a fair-skinned, red-haired goddess, Garock’s prayers for deliverance are answered.

Kennedy tries to convince Garock that she’s no goddess of his. But she finds it impossible to fight her fierce attraction to him.

2.75 ALIEN OR HUMAN STARS?

I must admit when I picked up this book I expected a short story about an Alien culture and maybe some steamy alien sex.
What I got was a much longer story of teleportation. It was not really for me.

I'm not a science-fiction lover so I enjoy the romantic elements of this book more. This book had both these components in it but for me it did not work.
This is a story about an insecure young woman who suffers in part from OCD and she is named Kennedy. She goes by one ruling thought and that is: Bad things happen to people who go outside.
So she avoid going out or taking risks or even traveling. She is traumatized by her parents murder and has been living in a prison of her own design ever since.

description

One day Kennedy falls into the new world via a magical doorway that quickly vanished after she is transported through it.
She describes the new Alien world as;
"This place is insane. It’s like Pocahontas on steroids. The Kurah live in large wigwams that litter the ground and stick out like small hills. Their dwellings are made of long wooden poles, arched together at the top and decorated with quilts."

description

Now the hero Garock is the strong leader of his planet and has been fighting a bunch of Alien intruders who can control minds and are trying to take over his planet. He is looking for help, when he stumbles across the heroine Kennedy. She has come through the magical portal and he firmly believes that she is his goddess. She has been sent to help them.

description

The story takes off from there with many twist, turns and battles. Along with some steamy sexual encounters between these two MCs.
It should have been a 4 stars read at this point maybe even a 5 stars but then the writer does something I hated.
She needlessly separated the two star cross lovers.

It's would be literally 5 years later before they meet up again and this time in her reality.
Seems now they can now travel across world Via wishing stones.
Wow, Really?

description

Now this book was also funny but only because I myself as a reader could see the irony in certain situations. It was not OTT funny just cute funny.
So for me this book was just an average story with very little real emotional connection to the hero and heroine.
The book was extremely interesting and well written, as I honestly felt transported into this other world. However, for me it was not enough.
I would only partially recommend this book and would caution that it's much longer than it appears.

Safety: is perfect. No OW/OM drama she is a virgin and he has little experience so they are well matched. They are both faithful during the separation.

I should also add that I would not hesitate to read another book by this author. I was kept interested and I was invested in their story. So that for me is an indication of exceptional writing.

Their sex left a lot to be desired, Kennedy had zero self-esteem, and then to top it all off, she runs away knowing she's pregnant with the alien guy's baby and all of his people are probably going to die looking for her. I can't take anymore. The five year time jump was my limit.

Didn't flow

Maybe it's me but the story felt odd in places. The world building is minimal, and other than the h you learn nothing really about the characters. The H is OK, but the h is over the top, she has sex with him in the first 24 hours of meeting him. She's suppose to be a virginal bookworm that's awkward but at some point thinks about what she did sexually with other guys. The h emotional responses are like that of a child, even five years later she left him never told him about his son then complains about being a single mom. The character just didn't make sense. It just was an odd read.

Erotic sci-fi romance

While the story is a good length, the sex scenes were so frequent I actually skimmed to get to the plot.
One of my pet peeves, a years long skip in the story, broke up the flow and it seemed like a different book.
There were grammatical errors-random periods/commas, uncapitalized beginning of sentences, etc.

There's no Alien's Virgin in this story. She talks a lot to herself in this thing and confesses to herself that she had been with other guys and compared them to the alien. So where is the virgin? Not that it matters. The story is immature and not well thought out. The 'alien' speaks and understands english with no trouble and walks, talks, acts like a human. There is no real alien here. There are many typos/wrong word usage (for example: myst instead of midst). And as with all the 'B' rated authors, we have yet another lip biter. Please go and observe people and come up with another way to describe thinking. The story/book I found lacking in nearly all departments. I don't know how it received as many stars as it has unless she has a lot of family and friends or a lot of teens reading this book.

The premise for this book was interesting. After reading the book I must admit I didn't love this book. The H/h seemed to lack connection, chemistry. While I tried to empathize with the /h I really didn't like her character very much. The 2 star rating is due to the quality of the writing and the unique storyline.

DNFed... I read half way though, but the narrative seemed too inconsistent. A "virgin" that wasn't a virgin, and even sexually compared the MMC with her exs (as in plural). A girl that told him she wasn't a goddess, but he insisted and then seemed to get angry she might not be. A dude that said he can't love anyone, but tells her he loves her a day later. Weird.

Kennedy is a sassy character who will catch you off guard and bring you into her world. Garock is a warrior an alpha of his tribe that will not give the evil Faron what he wants all of kural land. Kennedy comes down from the spirit tree and Garock this she is the goddess an help that he ask for. She does not know that she will be the savior to his people.

I look forward to reading more from this amazing author her characters bring you into their world. They captive you from the beginning until the end.

Absolutely fantastic!

This is a fantastic story. The story itself has depth and quality. This is a well rounded story with wonderful characters, you get the usual sci-first alpha alien romance but that's just one side to the story. The story holds its own, it could be read and enjoyed without the romance as it contains enough character and depth all on its own.
I would gladly recommend this to others.

The Alien's Virgin: An Alien SciFi Romance by Morgan Rae 4 Stars

Great fantasy story of different worlds, one at war and one at peace

A runaway dog, a dark alley with a sliver of light at the end and the girl who tries to catch him is where this story takes off. Kinda like falling through the looking glass with Alice only it's Kennedy who falls through the sliver of white light to catch the dog. Only she is the one being caught at the other end, straight into the arms of a towering man. Except he isn't just a man, he Chief of the Kurah and they are not on Earth anymore, lol.

Garock Rhinard, Chief of the Kurah Tribe meets Kennedy Davis of North Carolina and all sorts of things begin to happen. He prays to a spirit tree for guidance to the war on his planet and out pops Kennedy. Is this his Goddess to come and save him? Uh maybe.
Kennedy just wants to get back home, she isn't no goddess or is she, hehe

Two different worlds, two different people, a looming war with the Selith,( another different creature) and a strange romance blossoms. But things are not what they seem and it takes 5 years for the secrets to become known.

Great Fun PNR SciFi Read.

The Aliens Virgin

I liked this book because it started out with a normal innocent girl
getting swept up into a wild beautiful jungle.
She discovers a beautiful savage untamed man who believes she is a Goddess. She saves them from a monster by her wits and a iPhone. She gets them out of other messes and then they find his village.
He tells his natives she's his Goddess, and he takes her to his hut and seduces her and she likes it like never before in her earth life.
Then the village seer has to check that she is a Goddess and the seer says she is so she won't be put to death. Its one of the hottest stories I've read in awhile. They go back to earth thru a magic stone or she does then he comes and visits her then they have to go back because their child from him accidentally gets the
stone and says the name of their village. Anyhow there's more
to it but it's interesting and you smile and you can't hardly put it down. You won't regret buying it I loved it.

A good escape from reality being a Goddess has it's perks !

Morgan Rae takes you on a tour of another world, a spoiled little dog that is mischief in fur and watch as the adventuresome off. Toss in a dream boat warrior, an evil alien add in a slightly OCD Kind hearted young woman stir occasionally with a slash of comedy Down a rabbit hole becomes falling out of a tree. Into a warriors arms and of course that makes her this warrior's Goddess. A touch of instant attraction and dash of pure lust and love make this a quick and entertaining read. I did have to pause and wonder how when he comes to Earth searching for her, their lust blooms and he gets her wound tighter then a violin string where or how does he understand violin strings ? Needless to say it didn't slow the reading other then a comment of things that make you go hmmm.

We start off with a heroine named Kennedy who is too terrified to leave home to go on a trip with her roommates to Ireland. She stays behind and cares for her friends dog. While taking him on a walk, he gets away from her and disappears behind a dumpster. Kennedy goes to get him only to discover a small rectangle of white light. So much like Alice she goes down her own version of a rabbit hole, except she gets caught by a Kurah warrior, and not just any warrior but Chief Garock. Garock thinks the Spirit Tree has sent him a Goddess to help him defeat a group of invading aliens on his planet called Selith's. I would recommend reading this journey of Kennedy and Garock's, you won't regret it!

It's entertaining, but it doesn't flow. There communication is too easy, and there are too many inconsistencies. It's difficult to put into words, but it needs work. For him to be an alien barbarian, he seems to adjust too easily to modern Earth. She heads to the castle, having no idea if she will die or not, and she takes the dog with her. She is a virgin, yet she is so blasé about sexuality, she throws herself at him in the first 24 hours of meeting him, and then she makes a comment about her not being able to get off with a guy without touching herself. I know it's possible, but it doesn't add up. His bond with her was thrown in Willy nilly, and it was just choppy, I think. It was a decent story, but it didn't work for me.

The Alien's Virgin

Kennedy is a nervous person Like to leave her home. Her roommates are going to Ireland for a vacation they wanted her to go along but she was too afraid. Kennedy takes the dog T-bone for a walk and his leash comes loose. Garock is from the plAnet Naruda and sends a wish thru the Spirit Tree. It opens a portal with earth and Kennedy chases T-bone through the portal . The Kurah greater with the Sekiths who want to take over the entire planet. Garock believes Kennedy I'd the Goddess the Spirit Tree has sent. Excellent story with lots of action and steamy love scenes.

Couldn't finish (76%)

The first half was actually ok, felt myself interested in both characters and the world of Naruda. But towards the end the female lead just annoyed me. I felt she was whiny, selfish and hadn't "grown" emotionally just cos she was forced to do a bunch of things by herself. Or not even forced, just made a dumb, selfish decision. I wanted to finish it, but every other line, I was pausing to vent my frustration and it was taking too long.
Also, "the alien's virgin"? No outer space as far as I read, and the male lead looks mostly human. And, for a virgin, her first time... doesn't seem like her first time, so that felt pointless.

A earth woman out of her comfort zone literally falls into a warrior's arms during meditation .

A waitress with anxiety, panic attacks, and familiar safety issues struggles daily with life choices . One day while walking her roommate's dog it breaks loose giving chase she follows into a alley the dog goes thru a portal of light while trying to decide what to do she trips over her own feet an falls thru the portal herself free falling . What will become of her now ? 18+

:)

This is the first book I have read by this author, and I loved it!!!!! I have read other scifi book and I think this is my new favorite. Just one thing I am not sure of, if she was really a Virgin, it was never clarified and some of her thought seemed to me like she was not, but beside that I loved this story!!! I look forward to reading other story's by this author:)

*** I received an ARC of this book for my honest review*** Ok so.... It wasn't bad, but I don't know if I will read the next one. Just a couple things that kind of were off for me. 1. Did the dog ever go to the bathroom? She was locked in a room, so how did the dog pee? 2. Cliff hanger. 3. Editing

Good read. I enjoyed the story. There is steam, romance and story, which many authors forget. I puzzle over the titles on some of these books, and this was one of the many. Do they sell better with less then appropriate titles? Anyway enjoy this one, it is a good one.

Enchanting story

I would have given this story a five star rating but it needs another edit. There are many places where a word is omitted and/or added and this distracting. I liked the book and the characters are well written.

Interesting

A bit hard to like Kennedy but the overall story was pretty good. I enjoyed the setting and the description of the planet was good. Worth the read if you like sci-fi and romance.
