This is such an underrated gem of a manga and anime....
Summary: Aoba, fresh out of high school, gets the job of her dreams at a gaming company and works alongside the woman who inspired her to go into character design.
Overall a funny manga that made me chuckle. There was more character development in this one. We got to learn about Yun's and Hajime's pasts! We got to see more geekiness and concerts and characters at events and seeing the characters do their best to make a good quality game.
I had to relearn the style since it's first right and continuing all the way down then switching to the left. Yagami is just as hopeless, Rin just wants to be asked out! She's a saint really. We didn't have many Hifumi and Aoba's interactions in this volume. And a character that I was expecting to make it, made it into the company! Also Alice in Wonderland vibes from the game. There's a lot of realistic situations turned funny. The characters are lovably messy.
There's a lot of character development. Characters understanding each other, dealing with their past and standing up for themselves and doing their best. Yeah!
The funniest moment was when Hajime made a fuss about lace-up boxing gloves because they are cool but when food was there, realized her mistake and her 'Feed me!' got me snickering.
There is something about the series that keeps me reading it. And yet I am not in love with it. It is a very solid 3, probably even a 3½ for me. But something keeps it from jumping higher. But whatever it is, not enough to keep me from reading more. When our library gets volume 5 you can bet I'll be checking it out.
The series continues to have cute moments and some workplace drama, but the “ship bait” for various pairs of the girls can be a bit annoying (especially if you like a certain pairing over another). But still adorable and fun!
I think the jokes are fun, the characters are cute, but nothing really happening is making me all that excited to keep reading. I might drop it here sadly. Might just not be for me!
