This is a Clean Cowboy Romance, and this is the third book in the Lone Star Cowboy League: Boys Ranch series. I have not read the other books in this series, but I do not think that hurt mine enjoyment of this book. I loved the characters in this book, and those boys in this book really know how to get into trouble. I loved those kids in this book. The romance in this book was slow moving, but it was sweet and really cute. I loved this sweet fun book so much. This was a Quick and Fast read that I really enjoyed reading so much.

A sweet Christmas story set in Texas. Two hearts are scarred by past hurts, but the beauty and caring of Christmas bring these two stubborn people together and when they do, their scars match up to form a perfect whole.

I would definitely recommend this book to all readers who like a quick sweet romance that will leave tears in your eyes by then end. I loved the characters and setting. There is just enough intrigue that you will want to read the other novels in the Lone Star Cowboy League series

I was given this book in order to review it, the views expressed are my own.

The Nanny's Texas Christmas

Flint has a young son that his current nanny quit. Lana is a school teacher that agrees be Logan nanny during break from school. Lana is having a play at school and flint agrees to help, love the children and their ideas a questions they have. I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest opinion. Loved it a lot, this is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. This is part of Love Inspired which are really good books. I have also brought a copy of the book.

Another nice, quick read, like a Hallmark movie in book form. Writing wasn't the best, but it wasn't terrible either, and the story was sweet. I appreciated reading about a non-white protagonist, too.

The Nanny's Texas Christmas by Lee Tobin McClain is the third book, by different authors, in Lone Star Cowboy League series. Another very good book in this series. This is about the youngest brother Flint Rawlings. He has a six year old little boy, Logan. Flint is the foreman at the Lone Star Cowboy League Boys Ranch for troubled kids. Continued in this book is items being missing from different ranches and a couple of the local who want to close the ranch are blaming the children at the ranch. Avery comes to town claiming to be a grand daughter of the deceased ranch owner who left the ranch to the Lone Star Cowboy League Boys Ranch. They are not sure if Avery is a real grand daughter or not. Lana Alvarez if a first grade school teacher. Logan is in her class. Flint hires Lana to take care of Logan after school and during Christmas break. Sparks fly between them. Logan has his little issue at one point. A very good read. Looking forward to the next three books in the series.

I've read a lot of Love Inspired books, but I often find they lack in a strong, Christian theme. That isn't the case with The Nanny's Texas Christmas. Lee Tobin McClain has written a story that illustrates God's love in our lives and how He's there with us as we walk through the tough times in our lives.

I enjoyed seeing how God takes Flint and Lana from their pasts filled with hurt and leads them to a future of hope and new beginnings.

The Christmas-aspect of the book was wonderful, but it was one of those books you could easily read any day of the year.

I will be looking for more from this author.

I received a copy of the book from the author. I chose to write a review on my own and all opinions stated are my own.

Lana was such an amazing teacher, loving the calling to teach children. And Flint was an interesting character. His little boy Logan was quite the handful. Never a dull moment with that boy around. More evidence that something's not right with inheritance of the ranch. And the ancestor of the original ranch creator is quite the pill. I want to strangle him!!!!

Apart of a series involving a boy's ranch. I hope that you are not thinking, trouble makers, because these boys have had more hurt than everyone has ever thought about. Each novel in this series is wonderful in it's own way. Through love and dedication, everyone always deserves a happy ending.

I don't know why Goodreads has this messed up but I scanned the barcode and read The Soldier And The Single Mom.
Such a great book! Loved the characters, including the elders of the town, love the town and the history aspects. I teared up at the end. I need to read all the rescue river books!

DNF at 55%. I just couldn’t get into this book. Obviously Flint and Lana would get together in the end so I didn’t feel compelled to finish.

This was another poorly written book with a bad message and stupid characters who were shallow and slightly egotistical, which is a little surprising considering this is a Christian book. Everyone went on and on about how young and good-looking the main characters were and how they should be together based on that. I loathe meddlesome matchmakers that act like they know best.

Flint and Lana also had annoying woe-is-me attitudes and acted like everyone was looking at and thinking of them all the time and feeling sorry for them because they were alone and sad and lonely. Pathetic. Your worth isn’t defined by having a spouse or kids. You don’t need validation from others. You get it by belonging to God and living for Him. Being single or childless isn’t a punishment or shameful. Lana was very involved in the community and had tons of friends yet acted like she had nothing and people were pitying her! Again- pathetic!

They were both also shallow by always focusing on how attractive the other was and mentioning it every chapter and had very defeatist attitudes. Both had a failed romance and decided they were done and giving up and never trying again. Nice message. 🙄 Then when it seemed like the other person wasn’t attracted to them they would act offended and moan that something was wrong with them even though they kept saying they weren’t looking for romance. Morons!

Flint started to act like a mind reader, assuming Lana was going to just up and leave one day, for some imagined reason, breaking his and Logan’s hearts or get together with the pastor, just because she talked to him twice and smiled at him and reiterating on how she was too pretty and too young for him and the town, etc. I think he needed to learn some values along with his son. He got all hurt and huffy and acted like a brat. I couldn’t follow his line of reasoning. The stupidity and immaturity of it was astounding. I think they were about as mature as the 6 year olds Lana taught. And all this was just in the half that I read. I wonder what garbage the other half contained.

The only small part I liked was Lana reaching out to Avery and how she forgave people when it was hard.

SPOILERS

Trust issues from both sides. Flint's wife left him and their six year old son. Lana was left at the altar. I liked both characters a lot. Lana was such a giving person! And Flint just as generous and hard working. But, although they were attracted to each other Flint was afraid that Lana would someday leave town and Lana was dealing with the fear of being abandoned. A few tiny crisis, lots of prayers and the willingness to trust God and their hearts and they got their happily ever after.

I really liked the main characters in this installment, I just wish there was a bit more excitement and resolution to some of the side stories. Overall, I'd rate it about 4.6-4.7.
