Sage Saga #1-3

The Complete Five Kingdoms Trilogy

Rate this book
In the kingdom of Allay, Sages are born.

Powerful warriors with supernatural abilities that would rival the strength of whole armies. And there is an academy that trains such warriors, forging them out of young, ordinary students and casting them to the cold unknown. Few survive, but if there is any hope for this now desolate kingdom, the tests must be given to all that enter its walls.

One such student is James, a self-proclaimed slacker that has just been forced into the academy by his father. And if he plans to see another day, he will have to weather through four lessons in life: determination, maturity, trust, and love...

The Five Kingdoms Trilogy contains the three novels: The Last of the Sages, The Dark Kingdom, and Hail to the Queen in their entirety.

What an adventure and a half! It starts out with James, who needs a purpose and character. He has a lot to learn and boy, did he! I truly enjoyed this trilogy and look forward to more of this series. The author did a great job world-building and bringing characters, flaws and all, into perspective. Well thought out and well-written. I laughed at some of the shenanigans and I cried too when things went poorly. I do recommend this epic fantasy to others who love a great roller coaster of a ride.

Predictable !

This book was a complete waste of time the childish and silly situations the author put the main characters in was completely unbelievable.this was a academy of warriors that were the only protection this empire has that people are dying because of the dangers of training but everything was a complete joke it was more like a high school and destroyed the authors world and the main characters credibility completely.it's more of a silly spun kinda writing a waste of time and money hopefully you might enjoy it but I really doubt it !!

Slacker James gets sent off to Sentinel Academy, meets a princess, and wants to become a sage. The five kingdoms each has a stone that gives its people incredible powers if they can tap into them. And they don't trust each other. Then there's the green mist that's covering the world and preventing rising spirits of the newly dead from reaching Paradise.
If you can get past the first part with James acting like an insufferable brat, the rest of the story is enjoyable.

Wonderful series...

A really engaging story with developed characters and plot. My only complaint is, the authors use of the word "anyways"! The word, " anyway ", is not plural with an " s", because it already is inclusive....meaning it can be singular or plural without the "s".
