Being held against your will & having to do things you may not agree with are a struggle for some but is the lifestyle for Genesis. Genesis Bass has lived in hell since the age of fourteen and hasn’t gotten any better. Being locked away in an extravagant mansion one would think she was living the life of a Queen only to find out that she is living the life of a prisoner. Under the watchful eye of Master Knight Genesis can only pray that she would one day be set free. With no one to love her and no one looking out for her she learns how to deal with her situation instead of allowing her situation to become her. Even though she is strong she is not strong enough to escape from the hands of Master Knight until her she is shown the truth about keeping faith. Khalid ‘Truth’ Richards is considered the real deal. A man who believes honesty is key and is as cool as fan should never be taken lightly especially when in a blink of an eye he can become deadly. Successful business owner by day and hired hitman by night he hustles to make sure his money is always looking right. Love doesn’t live in the world of Truth because once a man’s heart is broken it is broken beyond repair. But what happens when a deadly hit man with a broken heart finds someone who is as equally broken? Killing Me Softly with a Love so True is a tale about finding love in a hopeless place all the while learning how to conquer any bad situation. Both Truth and Genesis have never experience love until they fate pushed them together. Will they be able to put their differences to the side and embark on a love journey that can lead to marriage bells or will they self-destruct never experiencing what real love feels like?
This standalone build my interest from start to finish. I loved the storyline, Khalid aka Truth & Genesis connection was undeniable, I know uncle Go wasn't ish. Hassan knew he crossed the !one with Brandy and knew his girlfriend Meghan wasn't wrapped too tight, yes Brandy was wrong on all levels sleeping with Hassan and look at the outcome of their indiscretion ( you will need to read the book😉) Truth love cleVerness was undeniable, but he needed closure from Mari, the good digger she was and she certainly wasn't Genesis friend! Great read touch on love, deception, family, family secrets and loyalty as a few words that I can describe and I forgot to mention forgiveness!
Let me start off by saying this is a standalone book. It rare to come across a standalone book these days.
Let me tell you Truth is the man. He is a painter by day and assassin by night. His my shawty left him two years ago carrying his seed. Many nights he drank himself to sleep.
Truth was suppose to do an escort Genesis to and from the man who purchased her for two weeks. This is when the game changed. Truth rescue Genesis from the Mr. Rex.
A few things happened to Genesis that made Truth take her under his wing and train her.
This story is about family, lies, secrets, and deception.
Once the truth comes out who will be left standing.
It was good... but I felt there were areas that the storyline could have been better developed. The fact that Knight is so powerful... why did he never go after Truth... seems unlikely that he wouldn't based on how his character was developed earlier on in the book. It seemed like he was ok with her being gone... he never even called Truth about her being missing... the editing needed to be polished. There were misspelled words and words being used incorrectly. It was still a good story.
I would have loved to give this Standalone a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 rating but had to knock off 🌟 because of editing errors, other than that this book had all the drama, action and suspense that I love in to read in a book. The characters Truth and Genesis was perfect for each other I was sad that Brandy and Hassan ended up the way they did. I would love to read about Genesis Mother Madame Crystal I am quite sure she has a story to tell.
When I first started reading this book, I was like I read this already. When you have kindle unlimited sometimes it’s hard to keep up what you’ve read but as I got further along in there, I was going through the motions hard. I’m so glad that Genesis met Truth. I love their relationship. Great job
His name says it all he is the TRUTH!!! I was so mad when he left her but babyyyy when he went back. I loved how he built Genesis up and taught her to protect herself. The damage done between Truth and Hassan friendship was irreparable. I can't believe Mira and her actions.
I liked everything about the book, no complaints! I love Bianca Marie’s books; always a page turner, and never leaves me disappointed. I hate when books are predictable, but I can honestly say that this book was not at all predictable and that’s why I gave this a 5 star rating.
This book was really good. And the fact that it was a stand alone was a bonus. Poor Genesis went through so much. It was fate that her and Truth met. I'm glad they both got to have a happy ended. Including Brittany and Brandy. Great stand alone.
I was intrigued with Truth and Genesis from the earlier. What a whirl wind. This was good and I'm glad Truth got his self together at the end. This book had so many jaw dropping moments. I was like whattttttttttt???? Edge of your seat Gangsta good read. Wow!!!!!
Love this, but sorry Hassan and Truth fell out of friendship. Uncle Bo was a wolf in sheepskin can't believe him and Mari, money make you see the evil in people. His sisters bossing up makes me proud
I loved this book! I don’t know who I loved more Truth or Genesis . I’m a little sad to see that his friendship w| Hassan ended but totally understand why it did!
I loved this book. It was really a good standalone. It didn't leave me with questions like other standalones do. Great read from beginning to end. I can read this one again. I love Truth.
Love is underestimated in many ways...2 broken souls but love is all they need..Really good standalone..storyline was on point..Great ending!! Great job!!
Now that was a standalone!!!! I love Genesis story even tho the 5people in her life hurt so much but I was glad she found herself. Truth was cool tell he had his moment of confusion but still ain't want to leave her alone. There was some sneaky conniving mfers
This book is truly a classic that I could find myself reading over and over again. I was truly in my feelings with every page of this book. I even shed a few tears for Genesis and the hand she was dealt in life. Truth's nickname fits him perfectly because he definitely is the TRUTH. He helped build Genesis up so that she was no longer weak but she was strong enough for the both of them when she had to be. I felt so bad for the way Hassan and Truth's friendship ended but it was too much damage done for it to be fixed. I loved the fact that this was a standalone and not some long drug series.
This book had my emotions on so many levels, I shed tears and all. There's no way that you can read this book and not sympathize with Genesis. Truth had the perfect nickname because he was definitely "The Truth". The author's writing style was on point with this book. When everyone's connection was revealed, I was kinda shocked. I was glad that Genesis found her happily ever after in the end.
This book was really good. It was very written and I really enjoyed it. I love authors who pay attention to detail so that the reader can get a visual of what is going. This author did that and I was never in the dark about what was happening. I love Truth and Genesis. I cried a few times during the book because of the abuse that she endured. I was glad she was able to overcome her circumstances with the help of Truth. Great job, Bianca Marie.
Bianca Marie came out swining with this standalone. I loved how strong Genesis was despite what she had been through. Usually the woman would've let her pass hinder her future but Genesis didn't let that happen. The love her and Truth shared for one another was beautiful
What a life,Black magic really didn't have a good start in life but she never gave up,and she got her mom back and a real family that loved her.All she ever wanted was to be loved.
Genesis has been through a lot in her life. I am glad Truth took her away from that situation. I am also glad it was a standalone book. Very Good Book Bianca.
