This was a pretty well written short. I absolutely loved the ending. I felt it could have been fleshed out a little more so things tied together better and so I could get to know Gren more, but I still enjoyed this read.
After an unwanted breakup with his girl, Grenville walks the streets of Caledon to vent his anxiety and frustration. One evening, while out for one of his marathon walks, Gren bumps into a gaunt man with “a wisp of a tidy moustache” and “barely-there lips.” He seems to know too much about the young man, which freaks Gren. What does the stranger want?
Jeanne Bannon’s short horror story, “The Walking Man,” will keep you riveted from the first to last scene. This novella would be a perfect read for Halloween or over a campfire to scare the pants off any jaded lover of the horror genre.
