Sheri L. Williams is an author who laughs in the face of genre. She always knew she would be a romance author one day, until she found the macabre that lives in her heart and her brain. Equally as comfortable in her own imagination as she is in the real world, she finds inspiration everywhere. Her stories range from light to dark, then very dark, but always with a touch of romance.
Sheri is a wife and a mom, which bring her great joy. She is also a geek and an avid Netflix binger, which also brings great joy. She always has multiple projects on her plate and if you want to stay up to date, be sure to sign up for the newsletter on her website. Halloween is tomorrow and if you're looking for a good book with some edge and definite creepiness, pick up Sin Town by Sheri L. Williams today. It's got a ghost, serial killer, demon, angel, and Aria — a woman in trouble with the law and recently labeled a nymphomaniac by her court appointed therapist.
Aria gets more than she bargains for when she leaves Atlanta for a small town in Connecticut to start over. She finds herself stalked by evil and taking refuge in the arms (and bed) of her sexy co-worker. Working together with new friends, Aria fights back against the evil in "Sin Town" and discovers there's always more to what lurks beneath the surface of both a town and the people that dwell within it.
There was a lot to like about this book. Author Sheri L. Williams has created likable characters, fun dialogue, and some steamy scenes. While the heat and romance were definitely a treat, it's the story of good and evil and that I liked. I enjoyed watching Aria and her friends take on the baddies and discover their true selves while doing so.
I recommend picking up a copy of Sin Town by Sheri L. Williams today. It's a great read for Halloween or any time of the year when you want a spine-tingler that combines effortlessly with hot romance. It's the best of both worlds.
Sin Town was so fun to read! I really like the main character, the setting at the Inn and the small town, and the main character's relationship with Bastion. I really feel this book would have been a solid 4.5 or 5 stars if it had an additional 20 to 50 pages. We don't really get an explanation as to why our main character is so accepting of certain things that happen in the book. At first I thought it might be an absurdist reality like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or Callahan's Cross Time Saloon, which I would have been totally into. However, some things happen later that made it clear that it wasn't so certain events required more explanation. Great bones and still a three-star which for me is a good book.
