Rosalyn is happy to be home after so many years away. The 30-year-old free spirit takes surfing lessons from the hunky Jax, and she can’t wait to teach him a thing or two after hours. There’s just one problem: Jax’s mom is her best friend.

As they take to the water… and each other, will the groundswell of their forbidden love destroy their lives?

Peaks of Passion is the first book in the Pleasure Point series, a set of sun-soaked romance novels. If you like rock-hard surfer bodies, forbidden love, and sizzling sex scenes, then you’ll love Jennifer Evans’ steamy surfing romance.

I was born in sunny Hialeah, Florida and got my introduction to storytelling by devouring comic books as a kid. I’ve worked as a telemarketer, a bathing suit model and even cleaned houses for a paycheck. Somebody told me I needed to grow up, so I finally got serious about making a buck. Since I love spinning a good yarn, I garnered my communication skills and put them to use as a top salesperson in Corporate America.

But I always wanted to write books. One day, I cast aside my business suit, donned a bathing suit and sat down at my keyboard to write steamy surfing stories for your enjoyment. Living in California, the surf’s always great and I’ve been known to gaze out the window while writing, throw my pen down, wax my board and paddle out to the lineup where I’ve met many of the surfers who’ve inspired my books.

I have a blast writing stories from Laguna Beach where I live with my husband. I love surfing, hiking, hot yoga and trapeze flying.

The h is horrible.
I hate her.

I understand her motives, reasoning, issues, stupidity, whatever-the-fuck you want to call it, but they still SUCK. They are the validations of a coward. Seriously. I don't think she's redeemable...

H - 18 yo BBF surfer god...total Cali hottie with a sweet, tender heart. Totally the kind you hang onto with both hands while beating other chicks off with your feet.

h - 30 yo physical therapist who gave metaphysical a bad name by being a pot-smoking new agey yoga freak. Total stereotypical flaky, blonde, Cali hippie. She's aware she's making mistakes and tries to do what's right but she always does the wrong thing. She's just immature and selfish.

Major spoiler filled rant headed your way in:

The age thing isn't horrible. Out of my comfort zone, but whatevs, it's fiction. But the h comes off as an airhead running from reality and sanity (read: responsibility) by burying it under addict amounts of pot use to keep from coping in any functional way. The actual relationship is kind of sweet and sexy (sizzling? Not so much) but the h keeps fucking it up with communication break downs and running away. The H is BBF all the way. I want one for my daughter. PLEASE!!!

The H/h have a majorly taboo relationship because she's a friend of his mom. (Mom is 3 years older than h.) But it was a slow, sweet build which culminates in the last 5% with the mom walking in on some hanky-panky after they'd been together for over a year. The H/h fight with her briefly. Mom drives off with the dad and they promptly die in a car accident. Within days the h realizes she's preggers, dumps the H (without telling him about baby) and flees leaving him a letter taped to her door.

Yup.

Needless to say it fucks up our awesome BBF. (*sigh*) Stupid bitches always fuck up the good guys :/

Onto book 2...

Peaks of Passion

After ready the short preempt story about Rosalyn in Oceans of Obsession, I thought she was a bit naive perhaps and way too flighty but thought she'd mature in this story - not the case. I do not do spoilers, but I will say that I was disappointed in this book. Rosalyn was a 30-year-old woman who acted like she was 15 all the time. How am I going to respect this character and what happened when in my opinion she did not respect others. She acted childish and selfish and again at 30 years old did not have her shit together. I understand the premise of the storyline, which would have been more attractive to me had Rosalyn been a better perceived adult character. Then 3/4 through the book it took a tragic turn, then the rest of the book was so rushed by advancing into years and then another tragedy then it ends. The next book takes up the H, whom is scorned; in the description of the book, it appears to be the same scenario as this book with the added touch of Rosalyn making an appearance. Sorry Ms. Evans I will not be reading the next book. I did like Oceans of Obsession - I would have liked this book to have been about Dominick and Rosalyn instead after 20+ years.

This is the first book in the Pleasure Point Series and it starts the series off with a bang. Talk about hot and steamy with lots of passion and chemistry that is off the charts. A forbidden love, an eighteen year old surfing instructor and a gorgeous thirty year old woman who just happens to be his mom's best friend. My goodness, this can get things lively real quick. The book was well written and there was lots of emotion and depth. I was surprised that it was more than just hot sex and that the author showed us the emotions and relationship part of the couple. I also liked that it was written from a dual point of view as it was nice to read what each were feeling. I received a free copy from the author during a promotion and voluntarily chose to review it.

Well written story and plot. I like the story line and plot. But Rosalyn is just not my type. She annoys me a lot and that ruins the story a bit for me. I do not understand her actions sometimes. She does things that I absolutely find not responsible. Smoking pot - not my style. Jax is a strong, fun and likeable character. Age gap - not doing anything for me. But when the female character runs away and is the immature of the two, then it annoys me a lot. A part from this it is a great romance with lot of chemistry and some nice scenes.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I totally cringed at 79%, like dived under my covers because I didn’t want to see what was coming cringe!! Jax and Rosalyn define a taboo like none other...well maybe there are worse, but this was NOT good!! She put the cougar in cougar. Jennifer Jones just joined my wicked storyteller list!! There was a bit much drug usage but it was nice to not have every other word be a curse word! Just like the waves of the ocean, my emotions were all over the place...poor Jax! Definitely ready to see how this ends in Book 2.

It was a fast read, full of emotion. It took me a little bit to get into this book, but once things started to happen they moved fast. Jax is an 18 year old surfer that helps him mothers friend Rosalyn learn to surf. They have an attraction that they both try to fight, but it becomes to hard for them. Will they let other people get in their way or will they realize they should not be together? There are some emotional parts in this book that make the reader question if they truly should try and work things out. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write a honest review.

This is my first older woman, younger man read and I liked it! Jax is a surfer who is about to turn 18. His mom's best friend moves back in town and Jax becomes her surfing teacher. He's good at it but there's more between these two. She's a little freer than Jax is used to and things start to heat up. There's more than just hot sex between them and you really feel the chemistry as it builds between them. I enjoyed this read! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I really enjoyed this book. It follows the stories of younger men with older women. If that's not something you like then this book is not for you. The romance, love, lust and sex are very well written. It highlights the issues of acceptance from those who don't understand and has a good twist. I love this book and pretty sure you will too.

A great story of an older woman and younger man. Hot and steamy but also well rounded with the back story of a relationship of this kind. It is well written. But his mom is her best friend. What a tangled mess. I enjoyed it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Cannot wait until I read the conclusion

Slow at times, repetitive at others, but intriguing all the time. The strengths and the faults of the main characters give a real life feel to their experiences. This author grabs you by the short hair, and holds on until the end.

Just read it!

There should be more reviews. Read this story. Yes it is one of a three part story! But if you enjoy some angst, taboo, and an emotional story I think you won't be disappointed. Plus it is well written, with a hot surfer.... Recommend!!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

What a hot and steamy story! This is the first time I read a book by this author, Jennifer Evans. If you like the sweet and sexy romances of an older woman (30 years old) and a young man (18 years old) stories, then this one was done well by Jennifer Evans. At first, I was not sure if this was the type of storyline I would like because I felt like she was robbing the cradle because of his youth. The book maybe fiction, but the storyline can be related to true-life situations and you will want to keep reading to find out what happened. Once I started, I could not stop reading the book. I loved the characters of Jax and Rosalyn. Jax loves to surf, and he is sexy with a chiseled body of someone who is older and he is also very handsome. Rosalyn is Jax’s mom best friend. Rosalyn takes surf lessons from Jax, and the seduction begins. Rosalyn finds herself quite attracted to her friend’s son, Jax, and the feeling is mutual with some sizzling chemistry. Will Rosalyn feel guilty about seducing Jax? Will Jax’s mother find out about their relationship? Will Rosalyn and Jax be able to continue with their forbidden love? The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next with lots of romance while the strong charismatic characters draw readers in and refuse to let go. You will love this book, and it will draw you in from the beginning to the end.

This is the first novel in this series & should be read in order to understand & follow. Jax is an 18 year old surfing god who falls for Rosslyn who is a 30 year old free spirit who happens to be Jax's mom's best friend. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this novel. As I usually don't like older/younger relationships but there is a lot more too this novel. This novel is engagingly written and developed with no plot holes. With sensational character's that are realistic with real emotions and flaws. This novel is sweet & sexy spicy. A sinfully delicious novel with many twists & turns. A captivating novel that will keep you hooked & craving more. Looking forward to reading the next novel in this series. I recommend reading this page turner series. I voluntarly reviewed an advanced reading copy.
