Casey Morgan, the only woman to have passed the rigorous requirements for induction into the Firebrand brotherhood, has been the perfect soldier as she carried out missions for the CIA with her brothers. She has excelled at all she did except for one to get Reese Alexander, the commander of Firebrand, to realize she is also a woman who loves him very much. When Casey leaves Firebrand, she soon finds herself the target of Malloy’s Militia, a violent group of survivalists who live in the remote mountains and an Indonesian smuggler who has had Casey in his sights for years. As the threats against Casey escalate, Reese knows he must put aside the secret that has kept him from Casey if he is to save the only woman he has ever loved.

The Firebrand Igniting the Flame Targeted Hunted Betrayed
This was a very different read than what I'm used to. This book is the 3rd in the Firebrand series and it can be read as a stand alone. It has some plots and twists and even some romance in the book. I liked this book because it was fast paced and it had some action in it. You never knew what would happen until you turned the next page. I liked Reese and Casey but oh my were they ever stubborn in their feelings! All Reese ever thought about was Firebrand and he thought it would be his life forever. Casey worked her hardest to pass all of the to join the Firebrand and after she joined her life became even more exciting until something happens to her along the way. Will Reese and Casey find a way to make their life work out for them and will love ever fit in to what they desire? I love this book because it has a Little of everything in it for everyone who loves a good cop story mixed in with who done it deal. I like Sandra's writing style and she will be on my long lost list of authors to look forward to reading in the future. I recommend this book to people who like this type of story. I received a complementary copy from the book club network and I thank you for the opportunity to read and review this wonderful book
Betrayed, third and final in the Firebrand series by Sandra Robbins, is an action packed book infused with drama, suspense, mystery and romantic tension. The Firebrand team has been targeted and are on the defensive. Who is after their team? And why? Is the past coming to haunt them or is this a new enemy? Just who are the Malloy Militia men and why are they after Casey, the only woman in the Firebrand brotherhood? Can Casey really walk away from the mercenary life she has adapted and the man she loves? Robbins has done a great job building the suspense, putting twists and turns in the plot to the point of gobsmacking the reader with the ending. A great finale to a great series. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Book Club network. A favorable review was not required and opinions are my own.
Good adventure/romance. Saw the bad guys' identities coming from a mile away. I felt a little lost having not read the first ones in the series, but it wasn't too bad. The story itself easily stood alone, but I lacked the depth about Firebrand to make it as meaningful as it should have been. The romance was a bit uneven. Too slow at the beginning and then way too fast at the end.
Author has a similar style and voice to Irene Hannon's romantic suspense and Lynette Eason, both are go-to authors for me.
Betrayed is book three from the Firebrand series. I think this is my favorite of the series. It is packed full of action, mystery, suspense and even some romance. I really like the characters of Casey and Reese. I would highly recommend this book for those who love a good, clean romantic suspense. Five stars
This final book in the Firebrand Series is the best. It is refreshing to read an action packed romantic suspense involving a paramilitary group without coarse language, sex scenes and gratuitous graphic violence.
Betrayal is Book 3 in the Firebrand Series written by Sandra Robbins. This is Casey and Reese's story. Casey Morgan has left Firebrand and joined law enforcement when she makes a traffic stop and arrests a member of Malloy's Militia. This is a group of violent people who live in a remote mountain area. They claim to be survivalist but are really criminals who are involved with an Indonesian smuggler that Casey escaped from years earlier. He is back to get Casey. Casey is drugged by members of the Militia and phones Reese to come to her home right away. When he gets there, Casey is not acting right and Reese is shot. Reese takes Casey back to the Firebrand Center. Casey is eventually cleared of the shooting charges but she is not safe until the Militia are taken care of. People that Casey and Reese think they can trust are also involved in the Militia. This is a very suspenseful, fast moving story with a touch of romance. Just like the rest of the series, this story will keep you on the edge of your seat with the suspense and action. This is a very good story, the story line keeps moving and bringing back people from the past books. I was very surprised that several of the people I thought were among the good guys, were actually part of the Militia. Even though this book does stand alone, you will get the whole story by reading the series in order. Sandra Robbins is an award-winning, best-selling author. “It is her prayer that God will use the words she writes to plant seeds of hope in the lives of her readers so that they come to know the peace that God's love brings.” I would like to thank the author and BookClub Network for allowing me to read this wonderful series. I have written an honest review .
BETRAYED BY SANDRA ROBBINS Have really enjoyed this series and glad I am able to read this one. Starts out with Casey Morgan and she's proven herself to Firebrand and they take her on a mission. She gets abducted in Indonesia and is rescued by Reese. She starts to tell him how much she loves him and that she might not have gotten the chance but he only sees her as a valuable member of Firebrand. She's heart broken... Have enjoyed the mercenary way of life and how it meshes with regular everyday life for some. It's exciting and gets your heart beating at the tender moments when the members not only rely on themselves but God. She's currently a deputy after leaving Firebrand and she was used to someone always having her back and is not finding that being a deputy. A traffic stop and arrest and then things go terribly wrong as she's accused of shooting Reese. The Firebrand guys look after her at the headquarters where Reese is also recovering. They try to figure out the clues and who is after them... Love the action, mysteries and caring that Firebrand stands for. Learning new things: fire triangle, ginseng. Awesome read, just when things are going at a smooth pace and everything is fine with everybody, is it really? Love the part about Smokey Mountains and i researched it, it happened! Love all the minute details of all the mysteries. Can't wait to read more from this author. I was given the book by Book Fun (The Book Club Network) and this is my honest review.
I received this book free from Bookfun.org for my honest opinion. That said, I did not read the first books in the series. In a way, that was detrimental, but this book still is a good stand alone book. It was full of drama, suspense and infused with romance. It kept my interest throughout. I thought I figured out the "who dun it", but was not totally correct. That is a good thing. The characters were well developed and believable. Over all, this is a good book. The downside is the editing. It wasn't the worst I've ever encountered, but there were a few places where a word was missing or a wrong word obviously placed. Not so bad that it detracted from the book. I would recommend this book to others that enjoy a good dramatic mystery.
Book 3 of the Firebrand Series, “Betrayed” is a fast-paced suspense that held my attention until the very end. Featuring Casey Morgan and Reese Alexander, the story finds them fighting for their lives as they attempt to discover exactly who wants them dead. Is it the group of militants in the surrounding mountains or could someone even more sinister be involved?
In the midst of all the action and suspense, Reese and Casey’s personal lives are also put to the test. Casey has always loved Reese but for some reason he has kept his distance. Only when Reese realizes how close he has come to losing her does he have to decide if his secret is reason enough to keep them apart.
As I have discovered with her previous books, Sandra Robbins is skilled at putting together riveting suspense stories that capture my attention and hold it to the very end. Well paced plot and strong characters who share a similar faith are just part of what draws me to her books. I enjoyed “Betrayed” and hope to have the opportunity to read more books by this author in the near future.
