My name is Dominic Powers. My software engineering company, DPS, is one of the top 500 companies in the world. Conducting a search for my Personal Assistant brought an unexpected candidate straight to me.

I knew she was different as soon as she walked into my high-rise office. She exuded innocence and inexperience. Those are two things in a woman that normally don’t attract me, but I am apparently making an exception for her. She’s young and delicate – and I’m afraid she won’t make it in my world.

But the carnal man I’ve kept hidden deep inside me says I have to try.

She is my Sophia Vasco.

I am Her Dom.

I've had the privilege of reading this marvelous book as a Beta reader. A.D. Justice tortured me one chapter at a time. Even with knowing the main plot and the details of the storyline, I was still captivated at every turn. My Dom, I mean Her Dom was a super steamy, suspenseful, hot as hell, could not put down, read. I need book two ASAP. The world of Dom/Sub relationships is realistically portrayed in this book. A must, must, must read. I absolutely loved it. More please!

His name is Dominic Powers and by jove he had power: the power to piss me right off!

I absolutely did not gel with Dom Dominic Powers at all! Firstly no do not call me Sir or Master 'call me Dom' WHAT? then every time she spoke she added Dom.... it did my friggin head in. Then everytime he spoke to her it was My Angel - this also did my head in.

The content for this book has not been researched properly at all, I can see lovely, fluffy, cloud loving, romanticising utter gooey eyed loved up bunnies loving this and even historical lovers. I could so imagine Dom Dominic wearing lacy frilly shirts with bulbous cuffs and intricate embroidered waistcoasts and a skirt.... oh no sorry why did I say skirt! Well he did come across completely and utterly of a woman's mind and mannerisms. He had no male in him whatsoever, his inner Dom was gay as far as I am concerned and I bloody hated every time he had a thought process - so that was pretty much all of the words I read! He procastinated more than any women I know!

Oh my he needed to grow a pair of balls and have an air of arrogance, not rude or agressive, just an air of dominance and control that this bloke wouldn't know if it smacked him in the face!

Also if I read one more friggin sex scene about a bloody cupcake I was going to puke! I actually was waiting for a scene for him to say can I put my flake in your frosting! See what I mean, he's a Dom and he constantly references sex to bloody cupcakes and tasting her frosting (yes it really does that say) How friggin sexy is that - NOT! OH PULLEEEASE!

Ooooh one more thing, Sophia is a woman made in heaven to the perfect specs, (actually as was Dom) - people like this just do not exist! She's 23 and cleverer than anybody else, can take over discussions as though she owns them and then is a quivering wreck in the bedroom..... I don't think so!

Anyway, if you like your Dom completely soft and mushy and not dominant at all and talks rather colourfully gentile then you'll love this, if you want your Dom to be masterful, dominating and his air of arrogance then you might want to avoid this.

Sadly this book just wasn't for me at all! No offence meant towards the author at all, but this book really got on my last nerve and absolutely ticked no boxes of satisfaction anywhere - sorry!

edited 14th Oct 5.20pm to add:- This review has upset the author who as you can see was not bashed within personally at all, and I in no way had any kind of intentions to throw upset towards anyone, reader, blogger or including the author.

So I didn't like this book, I am allowed to not like a book and say so, but let me add, the author writes well enough, goes over same ground a few times with different words so does contain waffle but for the most part I just didn't like the characters in this book at all, neither of them unfortunately. But for the most part the writing skills of Angel Justice were good, it's in this instance how her characters were created and their personalities I didn't get along with at all. Cupcake sex is so not my thing now nor ever will it be. As to are wishy washy Doms that don't like being called Sir or Master and a girl that is hard to like from the get go in MY OPINION.

Sadly my review has extremely upset the author immensely, so much so that she has done a video review really blasting bloggers and bad reviews and she even uses my name in said video. she also mentions abouts bloggers receiving ARC's and doing bad reviews also aimed at me, she should have checked out the facts first as I would like to reiterate I DID NOT RECEIVE AN ARC OF THIS BOOK!

1 Kiss

I’ve said this before and I will say it a million times, I hate when I don’t click with a book. I know it’s nothing I should take personally, but being the book lover I am, it hurts my heart when I’m just not into a book…it makes me feel like I failed, as silly as it sounds. I was intrigued by the synopsis for Her Dom…plus with a title like that, who could resist. Unfortunately, it just didn’t add up for me.

I knew pretty early on that this book wasn’t my cup of tea when I was raising my eyebrows so much. We’re in Dominic’s POV and…I’m sorry, none of it sounded like a male’s POV. I know it’s hard to write a convincing male POV…and it’s not that I’m super picky about the male POV’s that I love, but when that combined with the other things that were bothering me, it made it that much worse…I noticed it more. The way Dominic was portrayed and then his thoughts…weren’t matching up. It’s something possibly small, but it happened too many times early on for me not to start rolling my eyes.

I wasn’t really gelling with the writing either…it was a bit clichéd and it started to wear on me. It just seemed very generic and I was waiting for the uniqueness…but it never came. I want to be hanging on every word, desperate to turn the page…and when I started skimming – I knew that was bad. I don’t skim…I never skim…I might accidently read too fast when I’m super excited, but if I’m skimming…then that means I’m not interested. I tried forcing a few more chapters but the further I got, the worse I felt. I can’t force a book…if I do, then I’ll just end up resenting it and possibly hating it, so I had to make the decision to stop.

It seems like I’m in the minority with this book…which makes me sad! I wish I had seen what others did. You win some…you lose some. :-(

I was lucky enough to get to read AD Justice's book, Her Dom.
I'll be honest, this type of book is not really my thing, but I've loved her previous books, so I went into it with an open mind.
I was BLOWN away!
I loved this book. I loved that while the sex was hot, the book focused quite a book on the people and their relationship instead of just the sex.
Both Dominic and Sophia are well developed characters.
Dominic is used to life a certain way and Sophia doesn't fit into the "box" he's carved out for his life, but their chemistry is undeniable and explosive.
He's an alpha male with a heart of gold.
Sophia has secrets she's trying to hide.
Together, they take you on a WILD and thrilling ride.
Definite page turner and highly recommend!
I'd also like a cupcake!

Oh Dom!! That's what you will be yelling after you read this book! The storyline is so intriguing. It is honestly so different from any book I've read. I loved the connection between Dom and Sophia. It is instant and explosive. There is a lot of suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire book. There are a lot of secrets and past situations that cause a lot of conflict between Dom and Sophia. The love scenes are amazing and will leave you begging for more. I love A.D. Justice books! The way she develops these two characters is amazing. Can't wait for more from Dom and Sophia!

The instant connection between Dominic and Sophia is felt through the pages and their scenes together are passionate and very sexy. He is very sweet with her and treats her like a queen, but she has a hard time accepting this. She is working on getting over her insecurities, especially because he lets her call him ‘Dom’, something he never allowed anyone before her.
There is much intrigue and secrets surrounding Sophia, and her past just seems like a bomb ready to explode at any moment. She never wants to talk about her family and you just know that something bad involving them is lurking in the shadows. Dom also has a secret that he’s struggling with and can’t seem to figure out how to tell her about it. It’s something that causes him nightmares and he’s afraid she’ll want to leave him once she finds out.
Reading ‘Her Dom’ is like watching a good detective movie. You know there is a mystery to be solved, but you can’t figure out what it is. You’re at the edge of your seat waiting for the shoe to drop and anxious for the outcome. When the shoe does drop, you are left with your mouth hanging open, unable to believe what just happened.
That ending left me pulling my hair out and I can’t wait for the next book to see what the hell I got hit with.

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

The underlying story here is good - but there are some significant inconsistencies, which for the stickler in me made me annoyed. The main one is Sophia being 23 and yet having so much business experience. Later in the book we learn more about her past, and the beginning of the story seems to have been completely forgotten. I won't mention other elements, as they could be spoilerish. Maybe the truth will become clearer in book 2 - but currently it rankles.

I liked Tucker and Shadow; they brought a lot to the story, because they interacted with the main characters, but no one else is brought to life. The whole story is told from his point of view, which means that we know very little of how she is thinking ... until the very end.

I was lucky enough to be a beta reader and have just finished Her Dom. This book was amazingly brilliant, A.D had me sucked in from the beginning and with every twist and turn it kept me on the edge of my seat. As usual I could not pick where the story was going but I loved how the story played out and I absolutely cannot wait for book #2 in the series

Pissed off. Mad. Screaming. Me. This book sucked me in. Spit me out and let me hanging. Freakin' hanging.

Dominic is a powerful software tycoon in Dallas. He is looking for a new assistant A right hand person. To make decisions for him when he can't be there. Wouldn't you move up to this position? But I digress. He starts the interview process and meets Sophia. He puts her through a tough interview.

You're a good man. Anything else is just icing on the cake.

Sophia is a young sweet girl who has all the right answers and all the right credentials. Plus, she's a hottie who blushes. Just what Dominic is looking for...in an assistant.

I know there is a great deal I can learn under your guidance.

Dominic and Sophia of course take their relationship to the next level. And the next. Dom has secrets he doesn't want to share with her. He doesn't think she trusts him enough yet to hear about all of his past.

I'm not sure she can handle it. I'm not sure I can resist it.

Sophia has a past too. Can they make this work? Can they build a real relationship? Trust each other enough? There are some sexy scenes starring Dominic. You can see the mental and emotional relationship build. There are ruined dinners at the Four Seasons, skinny dipping, straight talking parents, wrecks, fires and a couple of security guys I want to hear more about. I have a Tucker Crush.

This was a 3.5 read for me. You might notice the 4 stars at the top. The last 4 pages or so jumped it up to a 4. I was not totally invested in the characters until the end. Now I can't wait for the next book. Total cliffhanger. Insert me screaming here.

~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~

I liked this book but a few things just seemed off for me. The age of Sophia and how she has so much work experience didn’t match. Then another instance in the book when she didn’t react to something at the time and later we find out she should have that was odd too. Maybe it will be revealed in the next book why. There were a few other things but over all I liked the book. I liked Dominic and I loved his family, his parents were amazing. I loved Tucker; hope he gets his own book and Shadow too. In the one scene where Shadow was trying not to laugh I just couldn’t help but crack up, big huge guy, holding in his chuckle LOL. I will say when the book finally got really flipping good it ended in a cliffhanger and I was pretty ticked! I can only hope the next book is out soon and we get some answers! I love Dominic and want to see what happens!

Characters: I loved the secondary characters and hope they get their own books in the future.

Sex: oh yeah and you will never look at cupcakes the same again.

Religious: no

Would I recommend to others: yes

More than one book in the series: yes

Genre: BDSM/Romance

Would I read more by this author: yes

Really good cliffhanger!!
This book was gifted in exchange for an honest review.

Dominic is interviewing for a personal assistant. Fed up with the applicants thus far, he is pleasantly surprised with his last interview of the day. Sophia is perfect for the position. She is also showing signs of being the perfect sub to Dominic's dominate side!! After working closely the last few weeks Dominic and Sophia are taking their first business trip together. On this trip the sexual attraction can not be denied. They decide to further their personal relationship.
Things seem to be growing in their personal lives when it becomes obvious that someone is out for Dominic. He is run off the road and his home is set on FIRE! You'll never guess who is behind it!!
Well written story of love and trust. Very eager to read the next book in this series to see what obstacles Dominic and Sophia have to overcome.

Dominic is a successful, powerful business man. He has been on a hiatus from having a sub for 18 months. He has his reasons and isn't looking for a new one.

Sophia walks into his life and changes everything. She is a natural sub, who was trained by a cruel man. Although she is there for the position as his assistant, she ends up becoming so much more.

She makes Dominic want to be Her Dom. Makes that side of him that he's tried to keep hidden for so long come out.

The book was quite good to me. I liked Sophia's character as she adjusts and grows with her relationship with Dominic. I think what kept me from giving it 5 stars is I expected more D/s type romantic situations, but mostly they were talked about instead of acted upon in Dominic's head.

It was still a well written book and I can't wait for the next installment of the story to see where it goes!

I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for this one. THANK YOU SO MUCH AD!!!
This book is so beyond anything I could have expected!! It is not like any book I have ever read. I'll be honest and say that the book I assumed was going to be a typical Dom/Sub relationship, but it is so much more than that. AD Justice has a way of writing a book that is unlike any other author out there. Dominic is not your typical Dom. Or should I say he is not only a Dom. He is sweet and alpha and hot as hell!! Seriously, this book will have you hooked from the very first paragraph and you will not be able to put it down. Ms. Justice is a must read in all her books, but this one takes the cake. A cupcake to be exact (LOL). I CAN NOT wait for book 2! Write faster PLEASE!!! If I could give this one a million stars I would. It really is that good!!! Not good AMAZEBALLS!!!!

My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quotes:

“There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her. There’s nothing I would deny her. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to see her happy.”

“Taking care of you is not only my responsibility. It is my honor. I’m proud to do it, but I am also humbled by it.”

My Review:

I devoured this book in a day, and hummed and gasped along like a happy little tart, until the last chapter… Waaaa! I was totally devastated by the cliffhanger –it broke my heart ;( I and would have been tempted to throw my precious Kindle had I not already had the sequel downloaded and ready to go – oh happy day! My main take away from these two books – deliciously sensual and HAWT! And I mean an extra of load or two of laundry and maybe even some new clothing required – HAAAAWT! But even think about picking this one up unless you have the second one in hand.

Her Dom is book one in A.D. Justice’s Dominic Powers series. I LOVED IT!!! This is the first novel I've read by A.D. Justice but this has just made sure that it won’t be the last I’m definitely going to check out everything else she’s written. And I’m waiting on tenterhooks for book two. Holy Hell I can’t get over how that ended … like WHAT THE F**K HAPPENED. I expected part of it but not the other part and I’m pretty much speechless that never happens. Completely and utterly.. MIND BLOWN!!

This novel is written from Dominic Powers POV as if he’s telling the story from memory rather than present time. I love way this book has been written it flows so well and makes it a pleasure to read. The characters drew me in immediately and the base level connection you could see between Dominic and Sophia instantly draws your attention as a reader and makes you wonder how their relationship is going to progress throughout the story. I found that A.D. Justice is brilliant at creating tension within a scene I constantly found myself chomping at the bit to get to the next part to find out what is going on. The sexual tension she creates is amazing it had me feeling like I needed a cold shower just waiting for their chemistry to just explode into something amazing and that it did, I loved it. I love how Dominic sort of speaks about his dominant side as if its a separate entity, like its it’s own person before he fully re-embraces it with Sophia. For 16 months he’s kept the Dom at bay but the second Sophia steps into his office he’s ready to just let the Dom in him loose. Sophia definitely brings it out in him and he finds himself fighting for control more than he usually would need to.
Very early on in this novel you can sense Dominic’s power, strength and dominant side, you know all those things that make you weak at the knees and its very clear that he has that exact same effect on Sophia. Sophia from the very moment we meet her seems naturally submissive towards Dominic’s personality. She doesn't appear to be that way with anyone else just him and ever since their first meeting everything she does and says feels like it has a double meaning. Its great to read how she seems to naturally submit to him without even the sexual aspect of the lifestyle being obvious. Now, Sophia is relatively new to the Dom/Sub lifestyle and she’s only been involved with one other Dom in her life and he treated her badly and mentally scarred her with his ways of ‘training’ his sub. She struggles with being complimented and treated well because she’s never had that before she seems to think that a D/S relationship is about his needs only and its not. The chemistry between Dominic and Sophia comes to a head fairly early on in the book and shockingly she is the one that makes the first move. They have an honest, openness between them and it shows Sophia’s vulnerability and naïveté and Dominic’s Dom side feels that and has the distinct urge to protect it, to protect her. You can see the connection they have grow throughout the novel and you see Sophia come into her own as a submissive in Dominic’s care its wonderful to read how patience and good teaching can help a person become a better version of them selves.
From the beginning you can tell that both of these souls are broken that they both have demons they need to overcome and throughout the novel you see them help each other with said demons. Its hard to explain this without giving away too much so that is really all I’ll say about that.
Not only is Dominic smart, hot and very wealthy, he’s also tortured, covered in tattoos and oh so very sweet and kind. This man is literally the man of my dreams (shhh don’t tell my husband).

So all in all this is a brilliant book well worth a read and I’m definitely gonna author stalk until book two becomes available because I really need to know what the hell happened, where that curve ball came from and where this story is going to go from here. I’m scared for these characters I truly am.
5 Amazing, Mind blowing, Jaw dropping stars!!

HER DOM by A. D. Justice is different from the other Dob/sub themed books you find everywhere nowadays, it contains so much sweetness but ends with a BANG that will leave you with your mouth hanging open, wondering if you are still reading the same book!

Dominic Powers is in this mid-twenties, yet he is already a powerful, well established business man. He is looking for a new high-skilled personal assistant whom he can fully trust, who is able to act as his right hand, including making decisions when he is not available. After a long unsuccessful interviewing process he almost lost his hope of ever finding someone fitting – that’s when he meets Sophia. Sophia answers every tough question he throws at her to his complete satisfaction, so that he hires her on the spot.

Both overrun by their not expected attraction to one another, they soon begin to act on it and take their business relationship to a much more personal level.

Sophia makes him want things he has tried to keep hidden and hasn’t wanted in quite a long time. She is sweet and innocent and Dominic wants nothing more than to be her Dom. To his surprise, this lifestyle is not new to her.

With both of them having secrets of their own they are not yet willing to share with one another – can they build a real relationship, build enough trust in one another to make it work?

This book is super-hot and steamy! Dom is an alpha wholeheartedly and his attraction to Sophia literally radiates off the pages. The development of their relationship is very well done; Dominic does everything in order to gain Sophia’s trust and treats her like a queen, but given her past and her training to become a sub by a cruel and abusive man, she has a hard time believing him.

While Dominic himself harbors secrets he is not yet ready to tell her, afraid she might run away from him if he only knew, the reader does not find out about Sophia’s past. She never wants to talk about her family and you constantly feel there is something dark lurking in the shadows, waiting to be dropped like a bomb.

I instantly liked Dominic and his family – even his bodyguards Tucker and Shadow, two big hunky guys who cannot contain their chuckles sometimes – just imagining this pictures makes me grin.
Who seemed a bit off for me was Sophia: How can she be insecure and shy to no extend in private on the one and so experienced, self confident and feisty in business on the other hand?
Also, there was one situation where she was absolutely passive when there really should have been a reaction of any kind from her side.
Maybe it’s part of the intrigue and suspense which kicked up several notches towards the end of the book. The end really makes a turn of 180° and left me unable to comprehend what just happened. It changes the whole story and now I’m anxiously expecting more.

Book #2 cannot come soon enough!

Dominic Powers’ last name says it all; he’s a man of precision, control, and authority. Dom’s dominant personality allows him to be the master of his life in all respects, but his life as a Dom has lain dormant for the past 18 months due to the events that occurred with his last submissive. Not only has Dominic not been involved in the Dom/sub lifestyle for the past year and a half, but he also has been on a self-imposed dry spell for that same amount of time. But that all changes when Sophia Vasco walks in to interview for the job as his assistant. Dominic has never mixed business with pleasure, but there’s something about Sophia that awakens not only his body but also his Dom tendencies.

Sophia Vasco is a natural submissive, but her knowledge of the Dom/sub world and her role as a sub has been twisted by her last Dom. Once Dominic decides to pursue a relationship with Sophia, he slowly teaches her by his words and actions what it’s supposed to be like, and soon enough, their feelings for each other grow into something more. But both Dominic and Sophia are harboring secrets; information that could possibly change the dynamics of their professional and personal relationship, and when those details finally come out, the end result has them both reeling, but for quite different reasons.

Her Dom is an erotically suspenseful read, and while I would have liked to have seen a few more scenes that illustrate Dominic’s true prowess as a Dom, his role as a healer and teacher of the BDSM lifestyle is realistically portrayed. I loved experiencing the softer side of Dominic as he helps Sophia learn to trust and open up again after everything that happened to her. He finally believes he’s met the woman who can truly be his forever, and that is definitely illustrated in his actions towards Sophia. Sophia is still a bit of a mystery to me. I need a bit more from her perspective to form an honest opinion of her. There is so much she’s unwilling to discuss, and I need to understand why and what it will cost her if she does open up about it all.

I suspect that with the events that occurred at the end of book one and Dominic’s response to them that readers are going to finally see the true Dom surface, and when that happens, everyone who has deceived and betrayed him is going to feel his wrath. But I also expect that things are not all that they seem, so it will be interesting to see how everything plays out between Dominic and Sophia when the truth is fully revealed.

I am just going to say it… what just happened here? I was so in love with this book and Dom and I was so excited for their happily ever after… but someone needs to explain to me what just happened!

Now, with that out of my system, I just have to say the first thing that caught my attention in this book was that it was written almost in entirety from Dom’s perspective. I love it when authors can do this and pull it off. This is one of those cases, it was masterfully written from his perspective and I really enjoyed that. So many books are from the female perspective so this was a nice change.

The characters… this is a hard one form me. I adored Dom right from the beginning. I thought was such a gentleman. But was he too much of a gentleman? He never got mad at Sophia, never even raised his voice at her… He just seemed so beyond enamored by her that there wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for her, which I loved. But I did begin to question if he was for real, despite Sophia consistently asking that very thing. He was almost TOO perfect. But I am so not complaining about his character. I really did love him. He found exactly what he was looking for when he found Sophia.

So regardless of how much I loved Dom, I had serious issues with Sophia. At the beginning of the book she was so strong and confident and seemed so powerful in the business world. But after one dinner and a little plane ride, she turned into a blubbering mess. She was clingy and needy and tended to cry an awful lot. I get why she was crying most of the time. But after it was revealed that she was a sub, every characteristic of her changed except how she handled business. She just became so instantly passive. It was such a big character shift for me that I had a hard time believing in her hopes and her fears.

Now, I know this appears as if I am totally hating on this book. I am so not. I really enjoyed this book, I will definitely be reading the next in the series because I have to know what else could possibly happen. But I wanted to point out Shophia’s character shifts for a reason. When you read this book it will all make sense and all culminating in my very first thought when I finished this book… what just happened here?

I really did enjoy the writing, it was sharp and captivating and full of intrigue and a bit of suspense. I fell in love with the actual story until the end of the book. It kept me going and going and I just wanted more of the relationship between Dom and Sophia. This was a great story and I really appreciate it. I am anxious to get my hands on the follow up book so I can read more of the story!

"I am her Dom. She will feel me when I'm not even there. She will hear my words whispered in her ear even when she's asleep. No man will ever come close to touching her again after I've shown her what I can do. She is mine. Claim staked. Territory marked."

I have to say, I fell in love with Dominic Powers quite early in the story. He was confident, sexy, kind and an all around gentleman. He was a great guy from the get go and was instantly smitten when he met Sophia for her job interview. Sophia was knowledgeable, experienced and well equipped to take on the task of being Dominic's right hand 'man'. Her assertiveness in her work in now way interfered with the natural submissiveness that she emitted from her entire being...and With every attempt to test her professional abilities, she never failed to impress him; which only increased his desire for her more.

Despite his attraction, he was determined to keep it professional. Sophia was just as drawn to Dominic and instantly felt his Dominance.

From the get-go, Dominic was up front and straight forward. After realizing there was no way he could resist any longer, he immediately laid it all out on the table for Sophia.

"Making my way back to my cupcake, I lick and devour it like I'm a starved man. Her icing only makes it better and I relish every taste of her, every one of her cries of pleasure, and every time she writhes from my touch."

Unfortunately, once they begin to explore and enjoy their relationship, that's when everything starts to go wrong. Someone is after Dominic and they have to find out who and why. But Dominic doesn't let that interfere with his time with Sophia.

The chemistry between Sophia and Dom was electric. From their first moment together, the temperature only went up.

Told entirely from Dom's POV, we're treated with the story as it unfolds from his perspective. We see his instant devotion.

I will warn you. This is a cliffy. I know when I reached the end, I was at the edge of my seat wondering...WHAT NOW?

Thankfully the conclusion is now available so you can immediately see how it all turns out. An believe me, you'll want to know.

"Calm, My Angel. You're with me, you're mine, and I take care of what's mine."

4 deliciously sweet stars. I will NEVER LOOK AT A CUPCAKE THE SAME AGAIN.

HER DOM
By: A.D. Justice
✩★✩★✩ for DOM

The first time Dom lays eyes on Sophia, it was insta-love. He could not stop staring and be mesmerized by her beauty. Undeniable chemistry seeped through my Kindle while reading their story.

Dominic a very dominating hottie. All he wants to do is take care of Sophia.

 photo HerDOM2_zps9097c3cd.jpg

Sophia is a twenty four year old who becomes Dominic's PA. Who is very independent and want nothing from anyone. As for Dominic, he's twenty nine years old and who built the company now Sophia works for. You can totally feel their chemistry, I mean who has that kind of chemistry? The first time you spend time with someone and it felt like they've known each for a long time. It's rare and it just felt real, personal experience.(winks)

 photo HerDom3_zps16fc4069.jpg

All Dom wants is to spend some time alone with Sophia. One of the things I love about him is that he is all about monogamous. Don't like sharing. So, I fell in love with him even more. The way he took care of Sophie is all a naughty girl could ever wish for.(winks) The passion was so strong and their love for each other, it didn't matter how long they've known each other, nothing got in the way of their relationship. The steamy hot sex and all the play they did was just oh so hot. It'll get to you, and you will need extra panty reading this holy hotness story about Dom and Sophie. I would love to know what Sophie was thinking, I want her side of the story. Be warned that there is a cliffhanger. Ms. Justice I want book two now please and a
cupcake. But other than that, I would totally recommend this book. I love your work and I will keep coming back for more.

This book is my first book by A. D Justice and it has a very interesting story. Though I have read quite a few BDSM romance or books with BDSM elements in them this is the first time I have read one where the girl has already been trained, albeit very badly, before meeting our main character and Dom.

Both Dominic Power and Sophia Vasco are broken. Sophia is broken by her first Dom who trained her as well as a few other things. Dominic is broken and even tried to deny his dominant self until Sophia walked in.

From the first moment Dominic Powers first laid eyes on Sophia he wanted her. He wanted to slip back into his Dom persona and own her. But he holds back, he tries hard not to fall back into the Dom life. Sophia Vasco is broken, from a not so happy childhood on up to the abusive Dom who trained her. When she meets Dominic she feels the pull and feels he is dominant. She can't help but treat him different than the other men in the office, going from a confident woman to a submissive when he comes near.

When these two finally come together Dominic is more than Sophia ever expected. He does things so differently than her other dom and getting use to his way, the right way, is challenging at times. After finding out detail after detail about her training Dominic wants to hunt down her old Dom and give him an eye for an eye. He is becoming completely captivated by his Sophia.

But with all good things something has to muck it up. Both are hiding something from the other. Will they be able to move ahead and get past their secrets or will this put a full stop on the new relationship they are enjoying.

I loved the story line. Like I said it wasn't anything I had encountered before. I did have a hard time with all the saccharine sweet moments and Sophia being so weak willed around Dominic but this is the product of her abuse and I think my problems are more of a taste thing than anything else. I got drawn further into the plot quite easily and enjoyed this story.

I've been looking forward to Her Dom for quite some time. There's so much more to the story beyond the cover and title.

Her Dom is from Dominic's point of view, Dominic is a successful business owner of DPS. Dominic is in search of a personal assistant and on the verge of giving up on his search for someone that can help him in every way shape or form that he can trust with his company when he's not available or when decisions need to be made on behalf of him.

This is where Sophia walks in, from the moment she steps through the Dominic's office door and interviews with Dominic they have a relationship that starts to form that neither one of them expected. Drawn together in ways that neither one of them expected they build a working relationship that fall in the place very easily and the trust starts to form and they continue to deny the attraction that they have for one another beyond professional.

Sophia has a very strong take charge type personality but when she comes around Dominic she because submissive type behavior that draws Dominic's dominant side, relationship starts to form we start to delve into Sophia's past as well as Dominic's past, as far as why Sophia is the way she is as well is why Dominic has not been in a relationship for over year.

Not a typical BDSM book but the way that the words are written it's very clear on how the relationship starts to form ,how trust is built between the two, considering the past that they both have it's very clear how Dominic starts to build Sophia's trust how they take it very slow based on Sophia's past. The way that the plot twists and turns it definitely makes me want more and I cannot wait till the next book comes out to see what happens or if they take their relationship any further at all.

Book is gifted in exchange for an honest review

I have read a few Dom/sub stories in the past and have been mostly put off by that storyline. However, A.D Justice's Her Dom is a completely different ballgame. Usually Doms are portrayed as hardened and enjoy punishing their subs. I'll be honest, I started this book with some reservations, happily Ms.Justice's Dom is different. Having been brought up in the lifestyle by loving parents, he sees his role as a Dom as a loving protector of his woman.

Dominic is a wealthy software mogul searching for a new personal assistant, what he gets is far more than the usual PA. Sophia fits the needs of his company perfectly, as well as his own personal needs. She is smart and hard working but very secretive about her past. The chemistry between the two is powerful and instantaneous. Almost immediately, he recognizes her as a sub; bringing out his suppressed inner Dom. With reservations, he lets his true nature show itself to Sophia, but he harbors a secret that could make her walk away.

Sophia is a beautiful talented young woman who has been abused by her past Dom, a situation that Dominic works to rectify. Her insecurities make her vulnerable but Dominic helps her overcome them. The relationship that blossoms is beautifully written and sexy as can be. The emotions are everywhere in this book: anger, insecurity, pain, lust, love an passion are all portrayed. The book is well paced and the twists intriguing. I love the character of Dom and his care and concern for Sophia. He is patient and loving, not the usual portrayal of a Dom. The twist at the end will blow the reader out of the water. While not like other books by this author, it is just as enjoyable and captivating. I think I will have many cupcakes waiting for book two.

Oh yes, Dominic Powers is one hot Dom! He's mega rich, sexy, always in control, and gorgeous. He is that man you wish you had as your own! However, he has given up living as a Dom, a lifestyle he was basically raised to follow, because of a tragedy that left him broken. Enter Sophia, beautiful, sexy, smart, strong, and apparently a natural submissive. Dominic sees her potential as both the executive personal assistant he needs for his business and as his submissive. The spark in him to dominate is reignited with Sophia, and he is a loving, unselfish Dom. The relationship progresses quickly and Sophia is Dominic's perfect partner in business and in the bedroom. Their connection is extremely sensual and loving. Sound cliche? Well, this story is anything but! There are events building throughout story that take you on an unexpected ride and leave you at the precipice of a cliff.

A.d. Justice is a new author for me and I can say that I have become a fan of her writing. She has just the right formula for developing her characters so you can relate to them, but yet you know they harbor secrets that will slowly be revealed to enhance the storyline. Her attention to details is well balanced between putting you in the story, but not boring you to death. She writes steamy love scenes that still leave just a little bit to your imagination! The best feature of A.d.'s writing is the suspense she builds as she captures your emotions and then sends out shock waves that leave you desperately needing the next book. This book does end with a CLIFFHANGER. Personally I love this book and its ending that is keeping my thoughts wondering what will come next for Dominic and Sophia. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!

Her Dom (Dominic Powers #1) By A.D. Justice

I received a complimentary ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Dominic Powers owns his own software engineering company and needs a personal assistant. He needs someone that he can trust to make decisions when he is away and be his right hand person. His search was coming up empty until Sophia strolled into his office. Sophia passes every test that Dominic throws at her and he hires her on the spot. What he didn’t expect was to be instantly attracted to her. Sophia is intelligent and while she comes across as innocent, it’s clear that she too has an attraction to Dominic. Several weeks into their working relationship the two approach the subject of a relationship and Dominic explains that being in a relationship with him is far from ordinary, Dom needs to dominate Sophia, and to his surprise this is nothing new to her.

Let me say first off this was super hot! Dom is instant Alpha, and you get sucked into the Sophia’s attraction to him. The author did a great job of developing each character’s background so you could understand where the story was going. The last quarter of the book really starts to amp up with drama and suspense, and for me that was the best part of the book. I can’t wait to see where this is going! What didn’t work for me was there were lots of similarities to 50 shades, now keep in mind, it’s the same type of relationship, so I completely understand that. There is a pretty hefty cliffhanger that will literally leave you wondering what you just read. Seriously, the end changes everything and leaves you on the edge of your seat. I CAN NOT wait for the next in this series!
