CAUTION: This is part two of a trilogy, actually second of a three-part story that should be read in order.
With veterinarian Josh Coleman at her side, socialite Willow Vaughn’s home in Midnight Beach to talk to Peyton’s family and to see what new information can be found about Evandria including what if any involvement they had in her husband’s death. Alex drank too much, did drugs and cheated but someone helped him die. Was it Evandria?

Following Bailey’s story of wanting to know more about her late husband, Willow gets a meeting with one of the town’s biggest movers and shakers. Josh is along for the ride and the more time he spends with Willow, the more time he wants to stay with her and finding her house bugged confirms the women are still very much in danger!

To my taste for all the insinuations, red herrings and secrecy around Evandria, this reader wanted Evandria to be more deserving of the sinister set-up. The romance is fine once you get past the contrivance between the six main characters that only had two friends each and the six45 of them make three insta-love perfect couples

Though this outing is the middle of a three-part tale, there is a definite beginning and end. Whether you’re a fan of the first piece or not, this outing gives more of the same, including loose threads. The difference will be the question… it’s become who helped their husbands die as opposed to if someone helped.

I was less than excited upon reading this one as the probability of Evandria was not well supported by the story beyond the idea that the rich and powerful get away with everything. It is also too trite for all three women to find mates in the men who end up helping them. However I will read the third installment as some things have caught hold of my interest and I want to see if the author is able to wrap things up.

3.25 Stars. Josh and Willow are a great couple- opposites do attract! I enjoyed appearances by Bailey, Chase, Ellis, and Peyton.
The Evandria angle isn’t my favorite storyline, so at times it was difficult to connect. The mystery of the widows’ husbands comes to an end, leaving the friends with new unanswered questions.
I am disappointed the love scenes between Josh and Willow “faded to black”. I know this author writes tasteful steamy scenes, so I am surprised this Series is rated PG.

Good book

This story or trilogy is very compelling. Once you start it’s hard to stop. I’m enjoying the chemistry and connection between the characters as well. Looking forward to reading the next book.

I am so enjoying this story. The mystery has me so hooked. The love story is amazing. Just when I think I have the bad guys figured out then there is a twist and it's not them. Or not only them. It leaves me on the edge waiting for the next thing to happen.

I am really enjoying this trilogy and was intrigued by what we learned in this book. I adored Willow and Josh and really liked their romance. I am so fascinated by this conspiracy and can't wait for resolution in the 3rd book!

Book 2 another great storyline

As with the first book of the series, the second one kept me on the edge of my seat for most of the storyline. Also it really helped the story when the author broke up the action with a little romance between the characters and she did with the first book. Will be recommending this seseries of books to all if my boo reading friends.
