This book is a bit of a letdown from the previous volume. That is normal for a series such as this one. The writing is still good, and the concepts are still great, but the author is starting to plan longer character arcs, and that takes a bit of setup. Still a fun read.
I really enjoy Nodwick, Aaron Williams' humorous fantasy series. Sadly, this just didn't work for me. It's nowhere near bad, but it didn't grab me in the same way.
