I'm tall, confident, and ripped. Yeah, that's right. Jackson Leeman is my name and I'm the player of every woman's dreams. Love? F*ck that. No one can tie me down.
That is, no one except for my high school sweetheart, Fiona Breckenridge. She's a hot piece of a** with curves to die for, but I broke her heart over a decade ago. Now that I'm famous, she despises me.
Wait until I show her the whole package...
I'm the best football player there ever was, but I can't control myself. When I find out she's my new PR agent, I know I'm screwed. I'm not the kind of guy who holds back.
I'm going to tame her. I'm going to make her mine.
This is my year, but my whole career is on the line. I need to settle down and focus. One problem: I want that woman more than I want to win the big game.
All it takes is one night to get her begging my name. After that winning touchdown, I'm taking her all the way home.
"It's always hotter the second time around."

I volunteered to review an advance readers copy of this book.
Arc review For honest review. Jackson Lehman is a football player Fiona is a pr person theses two characters are so Darn cute they loved each other in childhood and still love each other and fight to keep it all.
Fiona works with a PR firm that handles athletics. Jackson is out of control and doesn't care what anyone thinks. They have a past and it didn't end well. They fight and she tries to keep him on the right path but he is always getting into trouble. Can Fiona get him under control without losing her heart? Both of their careers depend on it.
Fiona works for a PR firm in Los Angeles. She is assigned to spruce up the career of Jackson, a PR nightmare in Portland. The talented footballer has a reputation for being arrogant, self righteous and loves money, booze, woman and fighting. Fiona is very reluctant about relocating to Oregon but her career is on the line. She hates the idea of working close with Jackson because ten years ago he smashed her heart when he chose his career of going pro over her. Fiona & Jackson tell a tale of bittersweet memories and second chance love. She has to face her true feelings, learn to forgive and to trust again. He has to look closely at his feelings and reevaluate his choices for his life. It makes for an interesting, heart warming story that keeps one captured by the passion, emotion, drive and determination of two people becoming better versions of themselves. An exciting Super Bowl game is thrown into the mix. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five stars.
Just when Fiona starts thinking about making her life in LA permanent her bosses decide that she is going to cover the best NFL player but a PR agents worse nightmare. It couldn't get any worse oh wait but it does... She dated him in high school, like madly in love never really got over him love..Now she's stuck working with him until his image is better and that is going to be a task all on it's own. Fiona has no idea how she is ever going to manage to get Jackson stop being well Jackson. Jackson is having another fun filled afternoon when the past comes knocking on his door. He never expected Fiona to be his new PR agent. Jackson could care less about his image all he wants to do is play football but slowly that all starts to change. Can Fiona rein Jackson in before he make the biggest mistake of his career and possibly miss the only thing he's been working toward since he was drafted into the NFL??
Jackson is one of those football players who plays hard on and off the field. Problem being, he gets drunk, ends up in fights, mouths off, flips people off, has a bad reputation with the ladies, now his team management wants him to clean up his act, he is fighting it all the way!!! Fiona his new PR rep, is none other than the girl he left behind 10 years ago. He doesn't know yet, and she wasn't told who her next assignment was until after she was told to be where she had to go and when!! Now what will either of them do, she was left heartbroken 10 years ago, when he left for his career, they were in love, were to be getting married, but his career meant more! So she has hated him all this time, and he is now a celebrity player stuck on himself. How will they ever work together?? Great story, you will love it, enjoy!!! ❤️
This is a wonderful, entertaining book to read and I absolutely enjoyed reading it. What you will find in this book is: a public relations manager given a nightmare of a client to manage (Fiona Breckinridge), the nightmare client and bad boy football player (Jackson Leeman), drama, memories, fighting on field, suspension, disagreements, TV shows, emotional anguish, advice from a caring mother, confusion, anger, text messages, jealousy, verbal confrontation, fighting, a letter, a second chance, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters have emotional feelings with needs and desires according to their personality. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a good Second Chance Sport Romance with a HEA

Another touchdown for Kara Hart. Second Down Love is an excellent bad boy second chance sports romance novel. I couldn't stop reading once i started. The characters and story-line were so captivating. Fiona and Jackson had a history. He broke her heart in high school. Now 10 years later he is a famous NFL football star with a bad rep that needs fixing. She is a up coming PR agent working for a company that has transferred her over to Oregon to help clean up his image. When she sees Jackson will she be able to stay professional and help him or will the past get in her way?Can Jackson change his troubled ways of fighting, ,alcohol and woman? Will Fiona give into temptation? You will have to read and find out. I voluntarily read an advance readers copy of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Who knew....after all this time , Fiona is back in Jacksons life as his PR. Well being such a bad boy on and off the field as quarterback, Jackson needs help and quickly. His reputation is not good. Problem is Fiona, she once dated Jackson and it didn't end well. Jackson and Fiona are like an unfinished story. Their beginning is beautiful but because Jackson chooses his career, the middle part of their life is in turmoil. Can they both save themselves for a happy ending. Well, they do try, lots. Over and over again . A story that kept me interested all the way through. Jackson being one hot sexy man and deep down still loves Fiona. It's about growing up at last and facing your fears. Loved it
Jackson is a sexy, cocky football player that can't be tamed until he gets a new PR agent and it happens to be his ex that he left heart broken. Fiona is good at her job but when it comes to Jackson she knows it will be a struggle. Once Jackson sees Fiona it's as if everything comes to light and he knows what he wants but when a teammate doesn't like Jackson being good, he will do anything to make him bad. If you like a second chance romance with a sexy football player then this is the story for you. I liked Jackson & Fiona together, you can feel all there emotions as you were reading their story.
Jackson Leeman is the star wide receiver for the Black Wings - he has the fame, the fortune, the girls falling all over him - just like he dreamed he would.
Fiona Breckinridge is a PR genius - but can she pull Jackson out of the whole he has dug himself in? Can she rescue the bad image and equally bad reputation he has built for himself?
They have history - high school sweethearts where promises were made but not kept. "I left her and never looked back."
Second chances are just that a chance - can these two make it work? Or will both of their careers be lost?
"I'll always remember you as the girl I almost lost forever. I'm just so damn grateful I get you now."
Hate leaving bad reviews but I couldn't even read past the first few chapters. Already at that point I felt details were missing and didn't add up. Felt like time jumps or I was missing something. And Jackson. God. He was a terrible character. Instantly hated him. WAY to full of himself and such an ahole. And Fiona seemed to just go along with everything. Didn't really put up much of a fight. Also the two of them together was really weird. They were high school sweethearts or w.e but actually like complete strangers with no emotional attachment. Idk. I did end up skimming the rest and Jackson seemed to finally get his carp together and the book ended on a good note.
This is another really good sport romance with a second chance at love for the football player and the woman he left behind years ago. Jackson needs some good PR and Fiona is hired to fix the problem. They have quite a past. He left her to pursue his career. The attraction is still there but they have to decide if the love is too.
It is a good read and keeps your attention. I enjoy second chance at love stories. I liked the characters and the author takes time to develop them. .
Second Down Love is a very emotional story. Jackson, a football player, and Fiona, his new PR agent have history. Over a decade ago they fell in love and wanted to marry. But Jackson decided otherwise and concentrated on his football career. Now meeting after such a long time feelings rekindle and it is exciting to read how both protagonists fight against their feelings at the beginning only to fall for each other again. I loved reading this book.
Kara Hart does it again! Second Down Love USA terrific read. I'm not sure how she does it, but this author spins a mighty good tale of a self-indulged football player and his PR person...who also just happens to be the high school sweetheart he walked away from.
This story has something for everyone: sex, humor, angst--you name it. Prepare yourself to be wowed when you read this one! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.)

This is a great second chance read. Jackson is in need of a PR makeover and Fiona, the girl’s heart he broke 10 years ago has been given the task. Can they find their way back to what they once shared? I really liked this story as well as the characters. Entertaining, sexy and emotional read.
