This would be a good book to give a middle schooler if they’ve never had a car. It has fantastic photographs but very little info. Not one I would purchase for home reference.

Good basic information for folks who are new to being cat owners, but doesn't get into advanced topics like behavioral issues in enough depth for this to be of any use to experienced cat parents.

Scientifically written but toned down to a level that the average person could understand. It is clear that information was obtained from actual Veterinarians in the field, and professionals who have spent years studying this animal. The facts can be tested and verified. I recently adopted two kittens, so I read this book to learn about proper care and feeding of my two animals, and to get general background on their preferences, personality traits, and common behavioral patterns. OC Animal Care actually had a library as a vendor booth set-up the weekend I adopted my cats, so I was able to check this book out the weekend I adopted them, right at OC Animal Care.
