About the

Mark Grant is a psychologist/researcher who was an early adopter of EMDR in the treatment of chronic pain after becoming frustrated with the limitations of traditional psychological methods – particularly their inability to modify the sensory aspect of pain. He has created a treatment manual and a variety of self-help resources based on the method. His app ‘anxiety release based on E.M.D.R’ resulted in the first documented case of an app being used to alleviate physical discomfort associated with chronic pain. Mark lives and works in Melbourne Australia.

A wonderful book in the field of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and found this book to be extremely helpful with clients suffering with pain (especially Addictions to pain medication). My other clients found the website with audio download resources for meditation, a great tool for their daily practice in meditation, mindfulness and finding a calm peaceful place. Dr. Grants voice is very soothing. The book is informative as to cognitive processing and how our emotional health correlates with the neurobiology of the brain. A very useful tool for all therapists dealing in the area of addiction and pain management.
