I began writing in 2010 while sailing down the freeway in our RV. I love to place my characters in unlikely situations where escape is questionable, yet freedom is possible through God's power and His Word. I'm a retired teacher turned author and live with my husband in beautiful Alabama.

The lovely lady who wrote this book shines through her Christian romance books. I can hear her voice in the writing and sense her heart in the story. I think you'll like this one!

Wren Tabor had just broken off with a cheating boyfriend, so she and a girlfriend (Johanna) decide to spend a week at a Rocky Mountain resort, Lavender Fields Inn. It's a good place to lose your troubles--lovely pines, cedars, and blue spruce line hiking trails, even though there are bears pursuing her through the darkness. Okay, not a bear, only the groundskeeper.

Graham Meier chooses the same time period to come to the Inn, but he's aiming at winning the fishing tournament on the lake there. Somehow, he has to show his father he excels at something over his twin brother, Greg. If only he can win this tournament.... But then he runs into the girl of his dreams, literally. The girl he's been dreaming about slams into him trying to escape a bear.

You get the picture, or at least the beginning of it. Grab a copy from Amazon and sit back for a cozy read by the fire,.

"We've heard the ad, "Calgon Take Me Away." How about author June Foster take me away in the pages of her sweet romance, "Lavender Fields Inn?" (A Floral Inn Romance) That is what this heart-felt little book did during a difficult time in my life. I fell in love with central characters Wren and Graham as they fell in love, and through Foster's vivid descriptions I "visited" beautiful Colorado.
Let "Lavender Fields Inn" take you away too. I recommend it.

This short and sweet contemporary romance novella from June Foster is a nice addition to her body of work. Naive Christian girl on the run from a two-timing date vacations in the mountain at a spa, and runs into sweet naive CPA trying to overcome his feelings of inadequacy. When it appears neither can run far enough to escape the cause of their issues, they can either keep running or try to stick it out and see if they are stronger together.

Cute story told from multiple viewpoints. Fishing and barbecue, spa treatments and dinner out set in the mountains of Colorado. Readers of inspirational fiction will enjoy this story.

This is my first read by Ms. Foster and I enjoyed it. Lavender Fields Inn follow Wren and Graham as they seek to find life's answers while staying at the Inn.

I liked that Wren and Graham had to trust God to fulfill their desires. It's often a hard lesson to learn, but they each helped the other figure it out. The romance was sweet and worked well in this novella. Although they both dealt with some issues, it didn't go toward depressing.

* I received a free copy. This review is my own, honest opinion.

Be swept away to the smell of lavender, beauty of the Rockies and a relaxing spa at Lavender Fields Inn as you read this astonishing novella. Wren and Graham are both at the Inn trying to recover from heartbreak and feelings of never measuring up. Wren and Johanna are there to relax from their teaching positions, while Graham came for the fishing tournament. Wren encountered Graham on a trail as she believed a bear was chasing her. Graham couldn’t believe Wren was the lady of his dreams. The interwoven romance between the two results in some misunderstandings at times but the calm sweet spirit of Wren is just what Graham needed to overcome. How will God’s love, forgiveness, and acceptance play out in the lives of Graham and Wren along with secondary characters? This is the first book I read by June Foster, but it will not be the last. I could feel her heartfelt love for this story and her love for God, who is always present when called upon in prayer to heal broken hearts and restore joy to lives. I would like to see a continuation of these characters in another tale by Foster.

I was gifted a copy of this novella by the author as a winner from a blog giveaway. I was not required to write a review but have shared my honest opinion as I could not stop reading till I read the last word.
