I write urban fantasy, paranormal romance and romantic suspense. Okay, and some space opera and post-apocalyptic menage as Dani Worth. I'm a lover of all kinds of romances! Some of mine (so far) are M/F, M/M/F and M/M.

Currently, I'm focusing on M/M romance because that's been my favorite for many years. I finally took the plunge in 2015 along with my good friend and co-writer, Jocelynn Drake. We are releasing long M/M romantic suspense right now (Unbreakable Bonds) and are already planning another series as well--possibly one that combines our love of MM romance with our love of urban fantasy.

I enjoy unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places.

I do get questions about the open series out. Beri O'Dell, Crux Survivors, The Kithran Regenesis and The Brothers Bernaux are unfortunately all on hold. That publisher is in the midst of closing so I don't know what will happen with them yet. Also, they weren't selling very well either, but I'm hoping I can self-publish the last of the stories in them at some point for the fantastic fans they do have. I'm sorry for the delay.

I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

Saying goodbye to a series is always hard. Especially when the stories are epic, the heroines are fierce, the heroes are swoon-worthy and the world is one you don’t want to leave. But when the final book in the series is as riveting, nail-biting, action-filled and all-consuming as FORESWORN, then it’s a series you won’t want to wait until “later” to finish.

This final book in the trilogy introduces readers to Kat Lockwood, the most guarded and cautious yet temperamental of the three sisters, and Arun, her modern-day warrior whose Norse god has a rather eyebrow-raising ability. It brings the sisters back together. It builds to the highly anticipated climactic finish. And it answers the question of whether the prophecy comes to pass.

The trickster is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the things that Kat, her sisters, and all those who contain the soul of a Norse god must face. Giants, elves, pandemonium, a looming battle, a betrayal and a sacrifice are just a sampling of what’s in store for them as they fight to change their fates and the fate of the world.

Kat is the perfect sister to carry this series to its end. She’s protective, loyal and incredibly brave and her strength is what is needed most when everything comes to a head. Even with her bond with Arun, whose personality complements hers so well, her sisters are the most important thing in the world to her. She may not be as easy to connect with as Raven or Coral, as she isn’t as nurturing or as sweet as they are, but once a connection is made it will be a strong one.

Rinda Elliott managed to create three very distinct female main characters whose stories, while interwoven, are strong enough, engaging enough and exciting enough to stand on their own. While nearly identical in appearance, each sister has a very different personality and voice, making each book in this series a thrilling new adventure.

FORESWORN is suspenseful. Its fast pace makes it easily readable in one sitting. Its promise of romance, of deadly battles, of heartbreaking loss make it unputdownable. Its new characters, with new abilities and new challenges, make for a wildly entertaining read. It’s intense. It’s enthralling. It puts you on an emotional roller coaster. It keeps you glued to the page until the very end.

It is a must, must, must read installment in this absolutely amazing and unforgettable series that should only be devoured after the first two books.

Original GR comments:
Oh this series is amazing. I loved getting to know Kat and the totally adorable Arun. The ending was epic! Review TK

I actually wasn’t scheduled to do a review originally for this tour but they sent out info for the books and it was one of those days that I decided to “take a look”. Which sometimes means I just read a few pages or actually read the book. This was one of those cases where I devoured the books. I became obsessed and I read each of the first two books in a day respectively. I was so sucked into the world that I started Forsworn right after Forecast but actually stopped reading. To save the reading high. Some book series just click with me and this was one of those series. It’s hard for me to review the books separately because my brain puts them all together in one big awesome novel.

There are so many things I love about Forsworn along with the Foretold and Forecast. First the books are very uniquely written. Each book is a sister perspective and the timeline of the books overlap. I was impressed with the way that Rinda kept the sisters interactions straight from book to book. I felt like they fit together flawlessly.

Another thing that I think is very cool about this series is that the books begin at the start of the End of World. You often read books that are trying to avoid the start of the End or books that take place after the end. It’s not as often that you see a series taking place during. It was cool the way Rinda took Norse mythology and Ragnarok to bring it about. You could tell that she had done a lot of research just by the amount of Gods and Goddess and how well the mythology was executed. I love a book that makes me want to look things up and learn more about them.

Big battles can be tricky because sometimes you find they fizzle out. In this case I was really happy with the end of the book. I think it was perfect. There events and small battles that lead up to the major showdown at the end. So things come about naturally. It’s not like they are just hanging out and boom everything is over. I really liked how things played out and were resolved. The Epilogue is absolutely perfect.

So the main players. The books center around each of the three sisters and their warriors. Kat is featured in Forsworn and at first I had expected Coral to be the last one but Kat definitely made the most sense. The sisters are similar but have their own qualities that make them stand out. Kat is fierce and protective of her family. She is also probably the most cautious when it comes to people. Arun is kind and quiet and seems to see the good in everyone. They manage to balance eachother out. We see the sisters grow in each book but I think Kat grows the most.

If you have read the first two books, you will not be disappointed in how things are wrapped up. If you haven’t read them. What are you waiting for! Definitely pick them up.

My favorite warrior in the series was Vanir (the bathroom kidnapping scene). My favorite sister is definitely Coral. I love that she is sweet but also fierce. My favorite couple though would be Kat and Arun. They felt like such a partnership.

I received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review.

The third and final book in the Sisters of Fate trilogy. This trilogy follows the Lockwood triplets, Raven, Coral and Kat during Ragnarok and them coming to terms with being Norse goddesses reincarnated aka Norns. This follows the youngest sister, Kat.

Possibly the best ending ever to a trilogy! I absolutely favor this one more than the other two books which means this trilogy just gets better and better each book. It's fast paced, action packed and full of unexpected twists and turns.

Kat is the youngest of her sisters yet the most fierce of them all. She was determined and the link between her sisters in my opinion. Arun, a reincarnated Norse god, was just as sweet as Vanir was. He was strong, handsome and powerful. I loved him in all aspects. The romance between Kat and Arun was just freaking adorable times ten! They are the definition of opposites attract. Where Kat was fierce, Arun was calm.

I loved that they sisters and their significant others are reunited in this book. The showdown was simply outstanding! That ending was a bit shocking for me and did leave me hanging but in a good way.

As for their mother, Ms. Lockwood -- I've come to find that I don't like her, but I did enjoy her involvement in their lives and with Ragnarok.

Overall, this trilogy was freaking fabulous and I definitely have it on my reread list for 2015! Awesome YA Paranormal about Norse mythology.

A great conclusion to the trilogy, and yet I also can't help but consider that the ending left a few plot threads open for possibly another trilogy. It was nice that all three sisters got to spend time together in this book, though I thought the concept to have all three books take place at the same time was fascinating. It was also pulled off quite effectively. Plus, as I've mentioned before, I love stories that have mythological themes or characters and I've been getting more and more into Norse mythology lately. There were a couple predictable moments in this book, but it didn't diminish my excitement in the slightest. I will be reading many more books from Rinda Elliott in the future, that is certain.

This series was awesome! All three are available now, and are cheap $2.99 apiece. Totally worth the money. I really liked her characters and the story. It was very different since it follows Norse mythology. I highly recommend this series. 5 Stars for all three

Excellent ending! I love the overlap of all of the books, this one shows you the overlap and the wraps it up very nicely. I totally want more though! Will there be more? Maybe a spin off series following other warriors?

Like her sisters, Kat has left on her own to find her warrior. She travels to Wyoming where she finds Arun who is supposed to carry the soul of the god Freyr.

Freyr is a fertility god, so it’s no surprise that Arun is extremely good looking, even to someone like Kat who has never had a thing for “pretty boys.” Arun’s power manifests in his ability to heal dying plants. Arun and his family have been preparing for Ragnarok for years, starting greenhouses and putting together survival packs. When Kat arrives, it’s to find many others like her (those carrying souls) are all converging in this same place. They all seemed to be called here.

Right away Kat knows this is where she’s supposed to be and Arun is the warrior she was supposed to find. In mythology Freyr wields a sword that fights on its own, however, at some point, Freyr is forced to give up his sword. This fact causes him to be killed during Ragnarok by the fire giant Surt.

The prophecy about the norns has always been clear. One will die by the hands of a warrior during Ragnarok. For years, Kat’s norn has shown her she will be the sister that dies….by fire. Probably one of the most interesting parts of the book was how Rinda Elliott dealt with the prophecy. I mean everything up to this point has been coming true so we can only presume that Kat’s vision will come true as well, yet it’s difficult to believe an author would go through with killing off a main character, but Elliott handles that plot point very well indeed.

I liked Kat’s story the best and not only because it’s the culmination of the entire story, but also because I liked Kat the best of the three sisters. She’s gone into everything with the knowledge that she will be the one to die, yet she doesn’t shirk what she feels is her responsibility. Even though she doesn’t fully understand yet what her and her sisters’ parts are in the final battle, she doesn’t stand on the sidelines. She wants to learn, and with the myriad of other warriors showing up along with a couple of Valkyries, there’s plenty of knowledge to go around.

In Forecast readers were given a glimpse of the Dark Elves, one of which claimed to be the girls’ father. That, right away opened up a lot more questions about where exactly the triplets come from. In Foresworn we learn a lot more about the triplets’ mother. I liked the mysterious aspect of their genealogy, and wished it was something that could have been explored more in depth, but I could see how it would detract from the main focus of the story.

This trilogy is the sisters’ story through and through despite also being about their warriors. We finally get to see them together as everyone gathers for the big confrontation. I like the direction the series took, I think everything played out very well, but what I like the most is the ambiguous ending. I’m hoping somewhere down the line we’ll get to see more of Raven, Coral, and Kat.

I discovered this trilogy through the wonderful Jenny from Supernatural Snark and connected with the author via Twitter and she was kind enough to send me an advance copy of this one so I could read it before my preorder arrives next month! Thank you so much, Rinda!

That said, getting this book for review has not influenced my review or my enjoyment of the book in any way, except for being able to enjoy it earlier!

Foresworn is Kat's book, and she's the younger and toughest of the triplets. We already know a lot of information that she doesn't when she starts her journey, since we've already read Coral's and Raven's stories. But Rinda does quite a great job at both helping us keep our interest in Kat's story and keep up with the timeline with the phone calls with her sisters, so we know how it is progressing.

Kat soon finds the guy she chose to protect from her mother, and she finds herself drawn into a group of people that not only they know what she is, but that have been preparing for Ragnarok for quite a long time! Arun knows whose soul he carries and knows how to work his gift for the most part. Other young people with gods souls inside them have been coming to his farm, drawn there by the music that comes from the lake in Yellowstone, so when Kat arrives she finds herself surrounded by more people like herself and not only feels an attraction to Arun, but also a kinship that was unknown to her before.

The action moves along quite fast, because while Kat is trying to figure out how to help Arun and return to protect her sisters, fires and accidents keep on happening around the farm, and soon the bigger picture starts becoming a lil clearer. Kat gets more information on her mother's side of the family, which happens to be quite surprising. And we also find out a bit more about the triplet's father.

The final confrontation happens when the three sisters get together and it was quite a show down, with fighting both physical and magical and that would have been a fantastic conclusion. Then we got an epilogue that started very satifying and fuzzy feels but then left us with a direct hook! Amazing but very evil!!

Very well deserved 4 stars for this final book in a fantastic trilogy that mixes contemporary, paranormal and Norse mythology flawlessly!

A perfect conclusion to a lovely series, Foresworn was a fantastic YA read. Packed full of thrills and suspense, as well as some sweet romance, this book was wonderful and I really liked it.

Kat was a great heroine. Where Raven was calm and collected and Coral was kind and sweet, Kat was fiery and determined. She was protective over her sisters and definitely a force to be reckoned with.

On a side note, I really liked that we got to see all three sisters together in this book. I've wanted to see how they acted together and how powerful they could be when they joined forces and that's what I got. It was great to see Raven and Coral again, as well as the super adorable Vanir and Taran. That, by itself, really made the book for me.

Now, on to Arun. As with the other two boys, he was just darling. Strong, but also sweet and definitely adorable. I didn't feel like I got to know him as much as I did Vanir and Taran, but I still really liked him.

The romance was very sweet. They were opposites in temperament and that worked for them. Kat would get all up in a huff and Arun would just calmly bring her out of it. I thought they were great together. And, it was so sweet seeing how Raven and Coral's relationships were playing out with their cuties. I especially loved seeing how all three of the romances were working out in the epilogue.

The plot moved quickly and kept me engaged all the way through. There were plenty of thrills along the way, as well as a few surprises, and some unexpected twists. I really liked the story and the ending was both perfect and agonizing. It wrapped up the triplets' story, but it left an ominous tone that has me wondering.

Foresworn was a really wonderful YA read that I loved. It was a fantastic conclusion to a series that I really like and it had everything that made the previous two books so good. Fans of the series, you won't be disappointed with this ending. And, YA lovers, this is a series you'll definitely want to check out.

(I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review).

(This review may contain spoilers).

Having read the previous two books in this trilogy, I was fairly eager to read the third one and I have to say, it did not disappoint.

It was really good to see Kat’s story. I liked seeing more of the kids with the gods’ souls, too, and I felt that there were more questions answered by the end of this book. I’m still not sure why the norns’ souls were inside the triplets, though. I get the rest of the gods, now, but it’s not clear what caused the norns to do the same thing.

The relationships Kat, Coral and Raven have with their norns are quite interesting. I liked the fact that Kat and Skuld seemed to come across as fairly similar. It was also nice how the triplets each had different powers/abilities… and their own personalities.

It was also really good to see more of the Valkyrie and I would have liked to see more of the relationships with them. I really liked that the author didn’t shy away from having bad things happen to the characters. I felt that all of the characters were really intriguing and well-rounded. By the end of the book, I did feel sorry for Dru. I wasn’t particularly fond of the dark elves, despite what happened towards the final scene of the book.

What I also particularly liked was how there were elements of the gods’ personalities coming through in the teenagers whose souls held the gods. I did particularly like the ending of the book. Some of the characters had quite a bit of depth to them that I would have liked to see further explored.

There were some quite emotional scenes in this and I was disappointed that this book (and the trilogy) ended so quickly. Although this ending was a resolution, I felt there was a lot more to the story that could be explored. And I’d really like to see more of the world and the characters… though it was pretty cool to see at least some of the characters I recognised from the previous two books.

I have read book # 2 Forecast & book # 3 Foresworn in the Sisters Of Fate series. Both books were great! I have already suggested them to my 23 year old daughter and two of her friends. These books would be great even for my 13 year old niece.

In Foresworn the focus is on Kat and Arun. Kat is searching for Arun to protect him from her mother who has been popping up and killing kids that carry the soul of gods. I like the Norse gods story line and the quick romantic draw the characters have to each other.

This is the 3rd book in the series and I would suggest you read this one after the first two. I have not had a chance to read the first book Foretold but I have added it to my list. In the two books I have read the stories are happening at the same time you just get to see on sisters journey to find their warrior in each book. You could read the books out of order but Foresworn has the ending of the other two so you will want to save it for last.

Foresworn starts out focusing on Kat and Arun but without giving away to much you do get to see some what of a happily ever after.

This book cannot be read as a standalone. I highly suggest that you read the first 2 books in order to understand the plot. Otherwise, it would be confusing because the 3rd book doesn't really have a proper recap of what happened and some kind of introduction.

Action packed but a light YA fantasy read, I recommend this to fans of Norse gods and anything Viking. Oh amd if you're looking for a book with gorgeous characters that are too good to be true, this one's right for you too.

The Norns
The Norns (Old Norse: norn, plural: nornir) in Norse mythology are female beings who rule the destiny of gods and men. The three most important norns, are Urðr (Wyrd), Verðandi and Skuld. These norns are described as three powerful maiden giantesses (Jotuns) whose arrival from Jötunheimr ended the golden age of the gods.

Thence come the maidens
Mighty in wisdom,
Three from the dwelling
Down ’neath the tree;
Urd (fate) is one named,
Verthandi ("happening" or "present) the next,
On the wood they scored,
And Skuld ( "debt" or "future") the third .
Laws they made there,
And life allotted
To the sons of men,
And set their fates.

The Norse Poetic Edda - Völuspá, a poem collected in the 13th century In the poem also written about Skuld :

Skuld, is in effect also a Valkyrie, taking part in the selection of warriors from the slain: These are called Valkyrs: them Odin sends to every battle; they determine men's feyness and award victory. Gudr and Róta and the youngest Norn, she who is called Skuld, ride ever to take the slain and decide fights .

Beside these three norns, there are many other who arrive when a person is born in order to determine his or her future. There were both malevolent and benevolent norns, and the former caused all the malevolent and tragic events in the world while the latter were kind and protective goddesses.

The Prophecy

It is written that the Kynkvísl, Norse descendants, will one day house the souls of the gods.
True heroes who know their sad fate in the coming battles but fight nonetheless.
Their time begins with the portents of Ragnarok.
Three years of winter, roaring seas that lash the land and an all-consuming fire. The destruction of the world.

I didn't read the previous books in the trilogy but I notice immediately that Foresworn is Kat's book. Kat (Katriel) is the younger and toughest of the triplets. She is the one who carry inside her Skuld soul a Norse goddess.

The three sisters had split up for the first time in there lives, each going after a boy who could possibly carry the soul of a Norse god. A future warrior who needed to make it to the final battles Ragnarok, that they has to protect from their mother.

She drives in a snow storm from Florida to Cody, on east entrance to Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, all the way to find a teenager boy - Arun Dahl (in Hindi sun). He is the guy that she found trough a tabloid article who suppose to have green fingers.

This boy suppose to carry the soul of of Freyr, (The fertility god) reputed to be the most important and stunning of the Vanir,, the sworn enemies of the Aesir. He is the son of the sea god Njörðr, and the twin brother of the goddess Freyja. The most extensive surviving Freyr myth relates Freyr's falling in love with the female jötunn Gerðr. Eventually, she becomes his wife but first Freyr has to give away his magic sword which fights on its own "if wise be he who wields it". Although deprived of this weapon, Freyr defeats the jötunn Beli with an antler. However, lacking his sword, Freyr will be killed by the fire jötunn Surtr during the events of Ragnarök.

Kat finds herself drawn into a group of people that not only they know what she is, but that have been preparing for Ragnarok for quite a long time!

Rinda interlace nicely the the details of the Nores mythology in the plot, so the facts I mention in along the review are important to the understanding of the plot. And while Storms hit most of the lower East Coast down to Mexico bay, and other parts of the world Ragnarok is escalating at a crazy rate. She also insert another crazy theme - I think she couldn't help herself in this - too many giants in the plot so.. we got this scene strait from David and Goliath.

The action moves along quite fast, because while Kat is trying to figure out how to help Arun and return to protect her sisters, fires and accidents keep on happening around the farm, dark elves and giants appear and soon the bigger picture become clear.

Arun was very surprised and betrayed to find who is the guy who was responsible to the fires. This guy carried the soul of Surt. which he never noticed. Surt is the fire giant who lead creatures into the Ragnarok battle and who was supposed to fight the god Freyr

Kat discovered a shocking knowledge about her mother as a part of a triplet, and her mother's side of the family, the Arapaho. And about the legend of the Whirlwind Woman (a powerful force of nature who brings the gift of sight). We also find out a bit more about the triplet's father Vrunlin and his brothers, a part of a triplet too. ans as Arun's friend Branton put it "triplets gone wild".

The sun turns black, earth sinks in the sea,
The hot stars down from heaven are whirled;
Fierce grows the steam and the life-feeding flame,
Till fire leaps high about heaven itself.
Now Garm howls loud before Gnipahellir,
The fetters will burst, and the wolf run free;
Much do I know, and more can see
Of the fate of the gods, the mighty in fight.
—The Norse Poetic Edda

The final confrontation happens when the three sisters get together and it was quite a show down, with fighting both physical and magical and that would have been a fantastic conclusion. We also learn why the book called the Foresworn and why she was chosen Arun!

Then we got an epilogue that started very satisfying and fuzzy feels but then left us with a direct hook! Amazing but very evil!!

Amazing books, a must buy

Brilliant trilogy. Wonderful writing ( a few typo's but who cares) when a trilogy is just this darn good. Want to dive back in. The boys/gods/gorgeous examples of everything splendid were totally complementary partners to each triplet. Interesting use of Norse mythology. Get the books. You'll be sucked in.

They are fairly quick reads but I quite liked that. Meant I could actually pay some attention to my children. Loved it and want more.

I found this series browsing my library's electronic offerings. Each book is short and tells the same story from different angles, and I will copy the review into each book.

This series is very light reading with a romance level similar to Twilight. The characters are pretty basic and are not what drew me in.

I read this series and gave it three stars because I loved, loved, loved the Norse mythology! I want to go read my Norse mythology books and learn more about the interaction of the characters and where their destinies are supposed to fit. The danger was real. I really worried about the world ending in the brief days described in the plot. The author was a good enough writer that these books were hard to read on cold days because I swear her Ragnarok winter made me colder. I can totally recommend this series for super light reading on a hot summer day.

O M G! The magic of Rinda's story writing and the gripping cliffhangers in each chapter and characters you so wish were real pull you very willingly from start to end! An amazing climax to a trilogy I have fallen deeply in love with. I feel bereft its over.... or is it? *crosses fingers*
