Writing has always been a big part of my life. Since I was a child I've known exactly where my passion lay. No matter what's gone on in my life writing has been my touchstone. After all, we all need a place to escape to. Reading is my idea of heaven. There's nothing I like more than to switch everything off, close the bedroom door, and curl up with a good book. I have a feeling that's something all at Goodreads can identify with.
Thanks for taking the time with me today. Now do something for yourself, go and curl up in your own reading heaven.

Swift from Scarlett Finn was slightly different than I imagined. While in the first books we center basically around Raven and Swallow and only meet the other Members of the Team on the sidelines, we know focus on Swift and his woman.
When we met Swift in the first books my impression of him was that he was soft. Maybe that was due to the fact that he was always in Raven’s shadow.- And there everything has to be softer or brighter because Raven is the Rock, the center of Darkness.
What surprised me now was that when we meet Swift now alone he suddenly seems different, almost cold at first. And on the opposite site we suddenly meet Kadie Face to Face and where she was introduced to us in the first books like an innocent “dove” we now find out she’s anything but.
Surprisingly in the first chapters – until Swift is reunited with his team I actually like Kadie more than Swift – which is a first. She is naïve – I give her that – at least in her pursuit but I understand why she does the stuff that brings her into trouble. When the team is united and the balance is restored we see again the team with the addition of Kadie and I like they dynamics.
But if Kadie had not been such a cool bird in the first chapters this book might have lost a star because Swift really felt weird… like he spend too much time in Raven’s head and had taken notes.
I am now looking forward to Falcon because from the beginning on he seemed the most interesting character in the team after Raven and I can hardly wait what the author has in store as his story.
This was so sweet! I love Tuck and Kadie. And of course I love Brodie and Zara. Their conversations in the motel and the glass bottle scene was so good!! Asdfgkll I love them all!!
This book kept me on my toes. It wasn’t just about romance. Each book removes one more unknown element, but there are more to uncover. Still not time to get complacent. ;)
Swift is my favorite! I loved this book out of the series and the fighting and missions in these series are so vivid. You feel like you are watching a movie. Love it!
When Swift left Kadie, he didn’t think he would ever see her again. That would be the price he had to pay, to keep her safe...
While searching for Swift, Kadie has landed herself in a world of trouble. She just can’t see a way out. Until the one person she thought, she would never see again arrives out of the blue...
Is it fate? Are Swift and Kadie being given a second chance? Can he save her?
Swift, where do I begin? I love Swift’s story. I love the man he is and the man he wants to be. I love that he loves strong and fights hard. I love that while he has a chance at his HEA, he doesn’t take it. Like all the Kindred books to date, this book touched me from the beginning and didn’t let up until the end. I was left wanting so much more of Swift’s story.
Swift is loyal and honest to a fault. He’s loved the same woman for the last five years. While situations may keep him away from Kadie, he’s always there. His home is her. But wanting to keep her safe and away from a life that’s slowly catching up with him, he decides to let her go; not only breaking Kadie’s heart but making him ruthless. Swift throws himself into his work. He also has a duty to help Swallow get Raven back on track. But it’s Kadie he should really be worried about. She wants so much to find the man that left her heartbroken, she does something that not only puts her in danger, but leads Swift and the rest of the Kindred right to the front door of an old friend.
Let’s talk about this story as a whole. Tucker is strong and silent until he needs to step in and take over. He’s always around, even when you don’t know he’s there and he is fiercely loyal. I love Swift and Kadie’s story. I need more. I also love the appearance of some other Kindred members. I love how the Kindred interact as a group; actually family is the more appropriate word. As will all Scarlett Finn books this one did not disappoint. The Kindred is one of my favorite series and I can’t wait to see where we do from here.
Another great story by Scarlett Finn!! She can make me want to violently hurt Swift to making my heart melt. Kadie is a strong female that just waits in the back for the Tuck to return to her. You got some of Tuck and Kadie's story in the previous Kindred stories but this was so much more. You get to see Tuck/Swift in another light. You see his love for Kadie and his alpha side. His geek talk at times had me laughing, it was so refreshing to see this side of Tuck, not just their serious side. At other times, oh man, he sounded so hot! When he left Kadie and the words he said to her, I just wanted to hurt him. I could see that he thought he was doing this for her own good. But those words, Kadie was broke, I was broke with her. You still get the rest of the Kindred in here. Seeing more of Raven and Swallow, the bond that they all share. they are a family and will do whatever is necessary for each other. They are still working the Game Time issue but with Kadie getting herself into a situation because of Tuck, they have to switch things up. To see Tuck/Swift finally open up to Kadie after years of keeping her in the dark was needed. I can feel Kadie's mind just going a mile a minute just trying to finally understand Tuck, it was much-needed for her to understand him. Tuck is an interesting character and can't wait to see what more is to come from the pair and the team. The nickname for Kadie is perfect and suits her so well.
Swift continues on with the stories of The Kindred, but this time we venture into the relationship of a different character. If you've read the prior Kindred books (and you should before reading this one!) you are already familiar with Tuck, also known as Swift, and his tumultuous relationship with Kadie. The early part of this book backtracks in time and shows how Tuck deals (or doesn't really deal) with Art's death. His grief causes him to shy away from Kadie, but this woman isn't gonna give up on her man that easy! Kadie quickly learns that Tuck's world is much more dangerous and complex than she could have ever dreamed. Thankfully he is able to save her from a horrible situation. Kadie finally learns about where Tuck is when he wasn't with her, and more about the life he leads. It wouldn't be a Kindred novel without a big showdown over Game Time, and this one doesn't disappoint! For all of you Raven/Swallow lovers, there are some scenes with those two as well. Underneath his tough exterior, Tuck is a romantic softie when it comes to his woman. There are definitely some swoon worthy quotes from this one! Can't wait for the next installment in this series!
Throughout the first three books we have watched while Tuck (aka Swift) tried to keep his life with Kindred separate from his life with Kadie. And with good reason, dealing with Kindred can be dangerous and unpredictable and Tuck loves Kadie too much to expose her to the constant threats. But what will happen when Tuck decides to end things for her own good?
Not willing to let Tuck walk out of her life, Kadie tries to track him down by approaching a known associate. Only she has it completely wrong and ends up in bed with the enemy. In over her head, Kadie doesn't have any idea how to get out of the mess that she has created but against all odds Tuck shows up when she least expects him.
I loved seeing the relationship between Tuck and Kadie and the icing on top was getting to see Raven and Swallow again:) These characters are so much fun to read and I love the bond between them all. I can't wait to see where Scarlett Finn takes this series but I know it will be a wild ride!
Swift is the fourth book in the brilliant Kindred Series. When Tuck leaves Kadie making it clear he isn't coming back, with no explanation as to why, Kadie decides to find Tuck and hopefully some answers but instead she finds trouble. I love this series, it's great to get to know Swift/Tuck better and of course Kadie who's been mentioned in previous books, I love her sass, her integrity, she's loyal, brave, and a great character. As always Scarlett Finn brings us an exciting, intelligent, well written book that's sexy and suspenseful and I for one can't wait for more. I highly recommend you check out this series you won't be disappointed. I received this advanced review copy for a voluntary review.
Scarlett Finn does it again with Swift and it's the reason she is one of my favorite authors! Tuck and Kadie are very compelling characters with distinct personalities, he's sexy, strong and smart, she's devoted and tenacious.I loved their dialog and interaction with each other!! This is an emotional, sweet, exciting and dangerous journey Tuck and Kadie find themselves on and learning how to trust and work together in their relationship is the ultimate test. This book does not disappoint and the sexy bedroom geek talk is both hot and hilarious!!
