Chance Roberts, the lead guitarist for Dirty Affliction, doing anything subversive is the money shot for the paparazzi. But no one truly knows the man behind the rockstar, because his inner demons stop him from sharing his true self. The man who yearns for love and acceptance, yet can’t escape the darkness that haunts his soul.No one...until Honor.Honor Collins is with the band while one of the members works through some stuff, and she sees the softer side of Chance. He may be cocky and flirtatious, but he’s also funny, kind, and really cares for his bandmates. She wants the world to see him for who he really is. Unfortunately, her own demons make her doubt she can be the one to make that happen.
Working alongside each other creates a friendship and begins to crack the walls they’ve both built up around their hearts. Will they continue to crumble, or are their past barriers to strong to penetrate?
Regina Frame lives in Alabama with her husband and two dogs. She started her writing journey early 2013 when she published The Beaumont Trilogy. Since then she has published the first book in her rock star series, A Dirty Affliction which released in 2014. She fell in love with the bad boy rockers and released four more books in the series. Rock music is her passion. She loves losing herself in the beat and the stories of her characters.
Heartstrings was the third book in the Dirty Affliction series by Regina Frame.
Chance Roberts was the lead guitarist for the famous rock band, Dirty Affliction. We learned in previous books he was the funny, lighthearted, playboy who was often getting in trouble for social media postings from female fans. It was also referenced he was a drug addict, but nothing confirmed. In Heartstrings we learned the difference between Chance’s myth and truth. We were also taken back to his childhood, the reasons behind the man he was today, and received a look into the real heart of Chance Roberts.
Music was Honor Collins’ passion. She was the heir to a Record Label and had played the guitar since her earliest memory. Her life long dream was to play professionally. She had an opportunity to do just that when a temporary opening came within one of her favorite bands, Dirty Affliction.
Frame started the storyline to coincide near the end of book one, Honesty, when Honor joined the band. Frame then caught us up to present day and beyond. On the surface, it would be easy to dislike Chance; however, it was also obvious that Chance was broken and had some major internal scars. As the layers were slowly pealed back, my heart broke over and over again for Chance. I pulled for him at every turn.
As for Honor, she had her own baggage, but to a lesser degree. She was beautiful, funny, feisty, independent, loyal and lovable. She brought out the best in Chance and I loved them together.
All in all, it was a quick, emotional and entertaining read. Frame set the stage for Jinx and Harmony next in Harmony and I can’t wait.
This is the third book in this series and they just keep getting better. Chance is everything you should stay away from but when Honor joins the band she just can't stay away from him. Chance has been warned to keep his hands (ok maybe not his hands but you get my drift) away from her but Honor gives him light in the darkness that surrounds him. Can Honor show him that he is worthy of her or will Chance let the words of his father destroy what is right in front of him. This is a fantastic story that shows how a woman with her own sadness can show the man she has loved from a far for the past three years that he needs to step out of the dark and into the light.
Regina Frame has a gift of taking a broken, head up his butt man that makes us want to either cuddle him or shove him against the wall to devour him! This story broke my heart and had me tearing up. I adored Chance and Honor!
This gut wrenching story of struggle and love makes fantastic story. To see Chance and Honor struggle with their issues. Drugs pushing and pulling in all directions. Totally loved this book from start to finish.
Chance Roberts lead guitarist for Dirty Affliction lives life in the fast lane, groupies and some near miss overdoses of pills and booze can't erase his horrible childhood. Honor has loved Chance ever since she had seen him 3 yes prior in concert. Fate brings them together when Honor is chosen to replace the bands bass player who is in rehab. Honor and Chance are a great couple, they start out as friends and their progression to the bedroom is believable., but having Honor may not be enough to chase away his demons. Chance is a great complex character and his story flows well with the rest of the series. I hope to read more on Chase and Honor.

Another great book by Regina Frame. The story line of Chance and Honer is believable and relatable. The relationship builds from friends to lovers. Mrs. Frame has a wonderful story line that just gets better with each book. I can’t wait to see what she has plan in the next book. I highly recommend this book and series.
This is about Chance Carter the guitarist of Dirty Affliction and their new bassist Honor. Chance is dealing with demons from his past but when he first lays eyes on Honor he thinks she is an angel. They start out as friends but soon turns into something more. They deal with a lot of ups and downs in their relationship. You need to read this book to find out more about this couple.
The story of Chance and Honer was a really good one! Full of raw, gritty, dirty life, sex and love. Love doesn't always come in a pretty little package, and these two prove that even if life gets ugly, love is still beautiful!
This is book three in A Dirty Affliction Novel and it is Chance and Honor’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Chance is the lead guitarist for Dirty Affliction but what he portrays to everyone is not who he really is as his dark demons are hiding deep inside making him unable to ever be true to himself so he comes across as arrogant and flirts to hide what is inside him and he has walls so high so that no one can penetrate them. Honor loves music and she has played the guitar for many years so when she gets the chance to play professionally along side her favourite band she is really excited and is looking forward to the tour. When Chance and Honor meet there attraction and chemistry is strong and they both have baggage but they seem to gel so well together but can Chance let down his wall and let Honor in so that she can see the real him and get the chance of a future together or will he just keep her at arms length so she doesn’t see just how damaged he really is and miss out on something special, well you will just have to read this book to find out what the outcome will be for them and you definitely need to read this amazing and emotional story that will have you turning the pages and have to completely hooked right from the first page until the last. I can’t wait to read more books in this amazing series.
We often hear that expression but how can it ever apply to men or women like Chance's parents?? Reading stories like this one brings home that there is true stories like this out there and that is horrifying. How lucky I am and most times ungrateful. Shame on me.
So many emotions went through me reading the love story of Honor and Chance. The many emotions I felt were innumerable but not once did I hate Chance or his actions. I admired everyone who stuck by him especially Honor. These strong women in this series are great characters!
I loved this rockstar romance! It was sugar coated all music, love and goodness! It was gritty, raw and showed sides of rockstars people dont talk about! Honor and Chance were a hot couple but they developed a love and loyalty to one another! I loved this book so much I couldnt put it down until it was done and I wanted more! Now im going to read the next book in series! If you love rockstar sexy guys this is perfect book!!
Heartstrings is such an appropriate name for this book because it for sure tugs at your heartstrings from start to finish. Delving into Chance's life you trudge through drug addiction, abuse, and all the damage it leaves in its wake. Superb addition to the Dirty Affliction series and once again you finish reading it fully satisfied and craving the next book.
This one had so many ups and downs. Poor chance had such a hard life, I didn’t think he would ever start to turn around and realized all the people who love and care about him. Such an uplifting book! Glad him and honor made it through together.
I loved the first book and wanted Linc in the band. It ended with him still part if the band. Only to find out he was out in the next books. So I won't read the rest as I don't like the direction the books are going.
I rated this as a three at first because personally I thought it needed editing. I changed it to a four because the male MC was pretty hot. Hot enought to keep me reading.

I loved this story. Wow! Chance's character made me laugh out loud at times, and cry at others. He is by far my favorite of the Dirty Affliction guys! I can't wait for Jinx's story.
