Hi! I'm twenty five years old and movie star gorgeous. The camera added thirty plus years and a few wrinkles. Can't trust those cameras or mirrors either. Along with bathroom scales they are notorious liars! Honestly, I am the mother of three fantastic grown children who've made me laugh and given me more story ideas than I could ever write. My husband, Charles, is my strongest supporter and my best friend. He's even willing to eat fast food and help with the laundry while I finish one more chapter! Life is good and I am blessed!

Reading has been a passion since I was five years old and figured out those were words on book pages. As soon as my chubby little fingers found they could put words on a Big Chief tablet with a fat pencil, I was on my way. Writing joined reading in my list of passions. I will read anything from the back of the Cheerio's box to Faulkner and love every bit of it. In addition to reading I enjoy cooking, my family and the ocean. I love the Florida beaches. Listening to the ocean waves puts my writing brain into high gear.

I love writing romance because it's about emotions and relationships. Human nature hasn't changed a bit since Eve coveted the fruit in the Garden of Eden. Settings change. Plots change. Names change. Times change. But love is love and men and women have been falling in and out of it forever. Romance is about emotions: love, hate, anger, laughter... all of it. If I can make you laugh until your sides ache or grab a tissue then I've touched your emotions and accomplished what every writer sets out to do.

I got serious about writing when my third child was born and had her days and nights mixed up. I had to stay up all night anyway and it was very quiet so I invested in a spiral back notebook and sharpened a few pencils. The story that emerged has never sold but it's brought in enough rejection slips to put the Redwood Forest on the endangered list. In 1997 Kensington bought two books for their Precious Gems line. Two years and six books later the line died with only four of those books seeing publication. But by then Avalon had bought a book and another, and another. Ten years later the list has grown to thirty nine. Last year Sourcebooks bought the Lucky Series which is in the bookstores now. They've also bought The Honky Tonk Series which will debut with I LOVE THIS BAR in June and will be followed by HELL, YEAH, MY GIVE A DAMN'S BUSTED, and HONKY TONK CHRISTMAS.

Folks ask me where I get my ideas. Three kids, fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren. Note: I was a very young grandmother! Life is a zoo around here when they all come home. In one Sunday afternoon there's enough ideas to keep me writing for years and years. Seriously, ideas pop up at the craziest times. When one sinks its roots into my mind, I have no choice but to write the story. And while I'm writing the characters peek over my shoulder and make sure I'm telling it right and not exaggerating too much. Pesky little devils, they are!

I have a wonderful agent, Erin Niumata, who continues to work magic and sell my work. I'm very lucky to have her and my editors who continue to believe in me.

Happy reading!

In Carolyn Brown's story, you have a set of twin girls that are sure that they have found their new mommy, on their front porch in a wedding dress. You will fall in love with the twins, and their daddy isn't to bad either. What is a man to do when his girls believe he has gotten them what they want. Now will the girl go along with it.
Then you have a new author for me in Kari Lynn Dell, I had been told she was an awesome author, and I wasn't disappointed. Rodeos are fun and exciting, but if not for the stock Contractors, there wouldn't be a rodeo. This book, gave me a lesson on what happens behind the scenes of a rodeo. Once I started reading this book, I kept going until I was at the end, and left wanting more. And I will be reading more of this author.

Cowboy times Two!!!

2 books in one!
First...Carolyn Brown's book. I have loved every single book by her. Every time I see a new book by Carolyn, I make sure to grab that book. If you like cowboys you will not go wrong reading her books.
Reckless in Texas by Kari Lynn Dell...first of her books I have read. Absolutely fell head over heels for Joe. I could relate to Violet's situation, a single mom, a female pick up person for bronc riders. Wyatt, Joe's partner pulled a switch of bullfighter's. At first it was obvious she wasn't going to give Joe much of a chance. Violet just didn't feel she could trust Joe or any man after having her love life appear in public & embarrassing the family business. Joe didn't see himself as being a man to stick around for a woman or deserving of a family. He always felt like an outsider. Asking Violet's parents permission to take her on a date was so cute!! This book has humor, a 5 yr old con man, & romance.

A great look into the world of rodeo.

2 great storeys set in rodeoing. Both books have great characters and storylines. Some interesting backup characters. They give you a look into the lives of people who give us the thrills and spills of rodeo while giving us the love storeys we all crave and read. I would recommend these books to anyone who loves a good western story.

This is a really good set, and both books are very good. Me personally, I liked the first one best, because it has the most wonderful humor in it. It actually had me laughing, something a book rarely does. The second book is also very good too, but more about 2 people lusting after each other for a lot of the book. The set is well worth your time to read though.

DNFed How To Marry.

4* for Reckless In Texas. Really well researched, pacey and engaging. I really liked Violet and Joe's story, even if I wanted to smack Joe around the head a few times. Violet was WAY more capable. Side characters were all great, and I especially loved Wyatt. A little surprised this was closed door for spice but didnt take too much away from it.

Great story! Any ranch born can relate to this story.

Most people do not have a clue as to the work ethic and love of the land and animals that true hard living /loving ranch families have. This was a great read in that respect.

Worth the read

Hot cowboys and the women who love them. What could be better? It takes a strong woman to love a stubborn cowboy. That's what author delivers.

Sweet and Hawt

A wonderful pair of Western romances by two extremely talented authors. Both are hard to put down.
Carolyn Brown's tale of twin girls that desperately want a mommy and the young woman who needs them just as much. You are drawn into the story eagerly turning the pages until.......damn it.....the last page.
Reckless in Texas is the tale of a hard working ranch/rodeo mother of a young boy, trying hard to curb a reckless streak and help the family business prosper. Add a sexy bullfighter with insecurity issues.......

Loved both these stories. Each one very different from the other.
Mason and Annie Rose didn't stand a chance with Masons twin girls, Gabby and Lily conspiring together to get them together. I found myself laughing quite often at the antics of the kiddos.
Joe and Violets story was a bit more intense. I really enjoyed all the details to the works of a rodeo and all the behind scenes spectators miss. Very good romance with a lot of hiccups that had me laughing, along with holding my breath a few times.

Enjoyed both books, in fact read How to Marry a Cowboy twice. The characters were very believable and I was glued to the book. Anything Carolyn Brown writes never fails to disappoint me, in fact she just keeps getting better! A must add (and already did) to my book shelf.

Great

This is not your usual Cowboy book. The story line flowed well and educated at the same time. Definitely looking forward to more books from Carolyn Brown.
