Keep your bearings through the book of Luke with this excellent study guide.

I have such a better grasp of the themes and structure of Luke now, which as a result has improved my understanding of each passage. Whereas before I normally studied each chapter as stand-alone content, now I see how each passage serves the main argument and flow of the whole book. It is such a helpful guide!

I've read four or five commentaries on Luke, and this is the best one so far, by far. This volume does wonders in identifying the narrative's logical structure and train of thought. The "application" sections are not really very applicational; they're more like a list of conclusions.

But still, simply outstanding.

This is a fine guide to preaching or leading bible studies on Luke. The sections always focus on the main character, Jesus, before drawing out lessons from minor characters. Teaching through the gospels is more difficult than it initially appears and this book will help.

Thorough exposition of the 1st 9 chapters of Luke's account of Jesus' gospel.

There are a couple of interpretations of the text where I don't quite agree with where he has landed; but on the whole, super accompaniment to understanding Luke's dense theological account.
