4.5 stars. Wow! I have to give props to an author that will get me hooked on a plot line that is quite the stretch. I'd venture to say Ms. Gadziala took some risks with this book and I'm glad she did. Riya has lost 367 days of her life and nobody believes her story or is willing to listen, except for Sawyer. Though he is hesitant at first, his instincts tell him there's more than meets the eye when it comes to pretty Riya.
It's worth mentioning again: the plot is a little out there, but I was totally enthralled. The suspense was timed and executed well. The story showcases yet another dimension to the talented writer. The romance doesn't lose its impact and intensity either. Sawyer and Riya were matched and developed in a complimentary manner. They have great chemistry. I would have liked a little more insight into what happened to Riya during her "missing time" but I still thoroughly enjoyed this read.
Safety: No others for either. I'm not quite sure how to answer the question of rape because there are some holes that weren't clarified enough for me to give a definitive answer.

It's not a secret that I am a huge Jessica Gadziala fan, especially since I'm pretty sure I say that in every review I do of her books. But 367 was something that I haven't experienced from her before and I think I love her a little more now. This book has the usual JG flair with a hot Alpha Hero and a heroine that is tough yet sweet. But this time JG delivers us a surprise of mystery and suspense that really made this book something extra special and had me captivated from the very beginning.
Riya wakes up behind a dumpster, confused, scared, and with no memory of what happened after she left her house one year and two days ago. No memory, no money, no ID, and no place to live. The police and doctors think she's just a loony that escaped the bin which leads her to Anderson's Private Investigations, her last hope in finding out what happened to make her lose 367 days of her memory.
Riya expects Sawyer Anderson to just be another person that thinks she's insane and doesn't have much hope that he'll help her. But when Sawyer gets a look at the scared girl sitting across his desk he knows he has to help her. And when he lets her stay at his place things heat up between the two and Sawyers protective instincts come out full force.
There were some definite shocks throughout this book and I honestly had no clue which direction the story would go. I love when a book can surprise me and this one definitely did that. I didn't have even one hint of what would happen when I started reading and it kept me interested and on the edge of my seat. I don't want to say too much about the surprises but I highly doubt anyone is going to figure it out before the author wants you to.
On top of all the suspense and mystery there were some really great moments between Riya and Sawyer. I loved seeing how sweet Sawyer was Riya and there were so many swoon worthy moments I'm surprised my ovaries didn't explode right out of my body. I loved these two together and they are definitely up there on the list of Best Jessica Gadziala Couples.
Overall, I will recommend this book to everyone. It has the suspense that will keep you intrigued, the romance that will melt your heart, and the sexy Hero that you will want to jump. So don't miss out on this one!

I need Sawyer like now please.
Riya woke up not knowing what was happening,she had missed a whole year of her life an she didn't know how she had gone to the police station and the hospital but one one would believe her.They thought she was crazy but she wasn't,she needed someone to believe her. When she found a private investigators office she thought she might as well give them a shot hoping they would help her out with what had happened to her, but when she went in she didn't really expect to see Sawyer. She thought he would just laugh at her once she shared her story with him, but he didn't.He didn't agree to take the case either,he needed to know more first.He couldn't take just any case but one thing he knew was that something wasn't right.
Sawyer and Riya's attraction was strong from the start.They both found each other attractive and both weren't really into having a relationship.Sawyer didn't date clients and Riya had had a few crappy ex's, she didn't need another. But Sawyer found he was putting himself out for Riya more than he had ever done with any woman or client before.There was something about her that didn't deserve the sadness she was going through and he wanted to be the one that put her a smile back on her face.
I really enjoyed seeing how Sawyer and Riya's relationship developed. Sawyer is this strong man that has his own past that isn't pretty but the way he was with Riya was just so cute.He did things you would never think he would and this just made me love him.Riya really needed someone to look after her after all the crap she had gone through.She was such a great person and would help out anyway she could and everyone she was around would say the same thing.There was just no way that Sawyer wasn't going to help her.
When I heard about this book I was dying to get my hands on it. Finding out that you have missed a whole year of your life would be totally crazy so I was dying to know how this story was going to go. Then put Sawyer into the mix and I really couldn't wait for it and I wasn't disappointed at all.It started really well,I couldn't get enough of the story the twists,I had me shocked in parts and I do love that in a book.
I would highly recommend this book.I loved everything about it,the story flowed really well and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.The main characters were just brilliant and I really liked the other characters. Brock was so funny, Tig was a big softy and if u have read other books from this author you will of heard of Sawyers brother Barrett.He is quite different to Sawyer but just as good.I m really looking forward to reading more of them xxx

Interesting suspense, likable characters.
The hero came across as a bit vulgar. The heroine was strong, well, till the 1st sex scene.
It’s my personal preference, but I don’t find begging sexy…
The story itself and its romantic aspect were slightly underdeveloped. I had a feeling I missed some parts – and I didn’t skip. I guess I needed more depth and connection.
But overall it was an interesting read and I will check other books by this author.

367 Days es el primer libro de Jessica Gadziala que leo, hasta el momento solo habia leido unas cuantas de sus novellas mas cortas, pero como mis breves experiencias con ella habian sido bastante agradables, me decidi a leer esta novela.
El libro no da rodeos, desde la primera pagina te presenta una historia intrigante y atrapante que te va envolviendo con cada nueva hoja que pasas, y aunque es cierto que esperaba mas suspense en determinados momentos, creo que la parte de thriller esta muy bien desarrollada, lo que ocurre no se si es que despues de leer tantas novelas de misterio ya me veo venir lo que va a pasar o si fue porque realmente la trama pese a estar bien llevada, resulta un tanto predecible despues de ciertas revelaciones, fuera lo que fuera, 367 Days no me sorprendio tanto como espere.
Respecto a la parte romantica, admito que me gusto mas el inicio que el final. Al principio empezo de una manera intensa y un tanto diferente, no obstante, segun se fue desenvolviendo fue perdiendo ese punto singular que tuvo en las primeras paginas, ademas creo que la relacion de Riya y Sawyer se dio de forma muy precipitada como para ser del todo coherente.
En lineas generales, la lectura me gusto, es sencilla y atractiva para leer en cualquier momento, pese a que es verdad que no cumplio mis expectativas al 100%, sin embargo, voy a continuar con los siguientes tomos en cuanto tenga un hueco.
En fin, 367 Days es una historia directa, entretenida y se lee muy rapido, en ningun instante se vuelve aburrida o pesada de leer, asimismo, la escritura de la autora es muy grata como ya habia comprobado en mis anteriores lecturas suyas.

Overall Opinion: I enjoy this author's story telling abilities, so when I was not feeling all that enthusiastic about my tbr list -- I thought I'd give this a try. I'm glad I did, but it wasn't as good as I felt it could have been. While I enjoyed both characters and felt that their sexual chemistry was hot, I also felt like it was lacking something. I get that there was a lot of other stuff going on for the author to focus on, but I didn't feel their connection as much as I hoped I would (or I have with some of her books in the past). The epilogue was awesome though! It's just too bad we weren't given experiences like those in the epilogue earlier to deepen that connection for us 🤔🤷🏻♀️
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Riya and Sawyer's story. Riya wakes up and realizes that she is missing a year and two days from her life, and the police and doctors aren't believing her. She then turns to a private investigator to try to find out what happens to her. Sawyer is reluctant to take her case, but when things don't add up he gives in to the protective feelings he has towards Riya and has her stay with him until he gets some answers. There are some answers found, some hot sexy times, and some sweet moments...and they get a HEA ending.
POV: This alternated between Riya and Sawyer's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Alright. I feel like it was told over a short period of time but then felt fast forwarded in the end.
Instalove: Kind of. All of this moves very fast because if their situation, and because of that their feelings also develop quickly. I don't think they ever really declared love until the epilogue though tbh.
H rating: 4 stars. Sawyer. I liked him. He was protective, caring, and alpha hot.
h rating: 4 stars. Riya. I liked her. I can't imagine what's it would be like to go through what she was supposed to have gone through, so I appreciated her strength through it all.
Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

OW/OM drama: Yes, but not in the typical way

Closure: This had a great epilogue with a few different time jumps that ensures their HEA .

This has a very unlikely plot but it was so good because of the strangeness. Riya has lost 367 days of her life. They’re just gone, she has no clue what happened. The police and hospital staff just think she’s crazy. So as she wanders away she comes upon a private investigator’s office and decides to take her chances there. And this is where she meets Sawyer.
I really loved both Sawyer and Riya. The secondary characters were great and added to the story. There were some good twists and turns. And it had an amazing epilogue 15 years into the future.

Riya is dumped in the trash and when she wakes up and later learns what year and day it is, she understands that she cannot remember 367 days of her life. People in the hospital or the police think she is crazy because she has no bruises that show a trauma, which could explain the memory loss, but she has somehow lost a year of her life.
Not wanting to be labelled crazy, she gets out of the hospital and finds a private investigator to help her.
All this was very intriguing and I thought that this book would be amazing, but unfortunately it disappointed me.
To start with, why the doctors in hospital couldn’t find what the detective’s nurse found with a couple of blood tests is still a mystery to me. Only these findings should have made the doctors suspicious about some procedures she might have gone through without her consent/awareness, rather than thinking she was crazy.
Later in the book, when the reason why she lost 367 days of her life began to be revealed, it just did not click, it didn't sound convincing or reasonable to me. And just as I was thinking about how crazy the whole scheme was, it got even crazier when the case was totally solved!
Oh, how can I explain? Whatever I say here will be a spoiler so I cannot explain why it sounded ridiculous to me. But let me just say that as soon as I realized where the story was going, I lost my interest in it.
Then, to top this disappointment, everything was wrapped up way too perfectly in the cheesiest way possible. I like HEA, and I always prefer a happy end but this book felt more like a cheese fest than a good mystery romance with a HEA.
It could be me, I don’t know, but I can’t help the fact that I am disappointed. I had such high hopes and then, maybe I couldn’t find what I expected. You can still try...

I didn't finish this book because it wasn't a bad book, I think it's because I kind of figured out what happened during the year she was away and I kind of lost interest after that. Tell me if I am wrong, but
I saw something like this one a TV show (one of those crime dramas) and I was thinking this was the only reason why she would lose a year. If am wrong, then I may go back to it.

When Riya wakes up behind a dumpster, having lost a year of her life, there is no one who believes her, including the police or anyone at the hospital. Her path leads her to Sawyer, a private investigator, who takes on her case and in the process takes her in as well, helping her to rebuild her life.
This was a relatively low angst read with no real drama. I loved how protective Sawyer was and the special evening he prepared for Riya to help her make new memories. I had hoped the mystery might be a bit more mysterious but we learn pretty quickly who the culprit is likely to be. I also felt that the motivation of the crime was a tad weak, but overall, it was an enjoyable read as far as the relationship between Sawyer and Riya went.

There are two different parts of the book.
Devotion and adoration and sex.
I loved the hero for his feelings for heroine.
I hated the sex scenes. For god's sake, making a woman beg for sex is not sexy to read about! Ew!
I did not enjoy their steamy time.
However I liked how they both dealt with the twist of the story. Like two adults.
I am a little worried about the their relationship though, because heroine has just overcome massive trauma. However, at least they didn't fell in bed within the first 24 hours, to be honest I think they took a good amount of time.
Second issue I have, the first ILY i read was in the epilogue!!!! I mean WTF???!!!
But I loved how hero's dog totally ditched him on the very first night and decided to become heroine's guard dog and went to sleep in front of her door!!! Adorable!!!!!

I am a little worried about the their relationship though, because heroine has just overcome massive trauma. However, at least they didn't fell in bed within the first 24 hours, to be honest I think they took a good amount of time.
Second issue I have, the first ILY i read was in the epilogue!!!! I mean WTF???!!!
But I loved how hero's dog totally ditched him on the very first night and decided to become heroine's guard dog and went to sleep in front of her door!!! Adorable!!!!!

THIS BOOK, GUYS. Seriously, you want to read this book.
The heroine, Riya, is a great example of a heroine who can be scared, yet very capable and determined.
Because my life had suddenly become some creepy mystery movie. And I was the reluctant, clueless, unexceptional heroine.
The book starts with Riya walking into a police station and admitting that she can't remember the last year of her life. As far as she knows, the past year basically never happened. When the police are skeptical about her story, Riya turns to Sawyer Anderson, a private investigator.
Sawyer Anderson, oh boy. Sawyer Anderson is basically the best qualities of a hero rolled into one character, and I do not exaggerate here.
"Besides, if you can't learn to keep your fucking dick in your pants when you're over thirty goddamn years old, you're just a weakass, insecure beta who needs to have meaningless sport sex to validate your fragile ego. It's pathetic. Babe, no one would ever call me pathetic."
Sawyer is a hilarious character. He doesn't get fazed easily, and tends to say whatever he's thinking, which may or may not be polite. (His brother, Barrett, is even more so.) He's also an incredibly sweet, loyal, and caring person, though it's not immediately obvious to others.
"The second I saw you, knew I could live a fucking thousand years and not find a woman half as perfect as you."
Probably my favorite thing about Sawyer (and there are MANY, MANY things) is his determination to empower Riya, even when it goes against his own interests. He recognizes when she is feeling helpless or out of her depths and, while his instincts are to save her, he also recognizes that having her dependent on him is not always in her best interests. Case in point: the baby shower. Although Riya is terrified and wants him to stay, Sawyer recognizes that she what she actually needs is the support of other women, and that having him there will get in the way of that.
I felt like I was letting her down by leaving her there, especially after telling her I would be there for her, but she needed me to leave, whether she realized it or not.

Also, lastly, that epilogue. THAT EPILOGUE. The epilogue is the epitome of all things good and amazing. Read this book just for that fucking epilogue, because you will not regret it AT. ALL.

I found this book. I would read hers because it explains everything nicely, topping it off with a trigger list. And this book was fantastic. Not only was the premise unique - a woman who has no clue what happened to her in the past 365 days - but the maturity of both protagonists created this casual, smooth yet heated atmosphere.
They both have pasts. Neither of them feel jealous over the facts of those pasts. Riya, on one hand has been in longer term relationships which have been incredibly serious; she's sweet, and strong and independent and lonely. The men she was with did fall in love with her, and she returned their sentiments in some situations. One relationship turned particularly catastrophic leading to her current scenario.
"Riya Sweeney, yeah, she was a fucking knockout [but she] had haunted eyes, stiff movements, and seemed like she was ready to bolt at any moment.” - Sawyer
Sawyer, in opposition has interchangeable casual relationships/sex. He's smart (disgustingly observant), blunt, complete with a stint in the military, straight forward, a little cynical, sharp shooting, but entirely honest.
"He was always one-hundred percent himself.” - Riya
When they start their relationship, he tells her straight away, they are "on" and they are serious without being imposing. He empowers her. There was good communication. Knowing that they had that equal footing makes it far easier to stomach more uncomfortable situations (seriously bedding ex clients 🙄). There's just something about their relationship, which to me, seemed very human and domesticated because they eased into it in rapid speed which actually didn't feel like rapid speed at all.
“See, I had known men before. I had dated men for long enough for the sex to range from making love to fucking to borderline kinky and back again. I had thought I had felt it all. But it was different. The entire experience with Sawyer was overwhelming.”-Riya
I like that. That she knows it's different with Sawyer. He comforts her when she needs it, he tells her to brush up when she's cowering. His endearment of "babe" was casual common to address any woman in the book, but when he said it to her...
“Come on, say goodbye," he urged.
My brows drew together. "Um... goodbye?" I said, shaking my head.
To that, he chuckled. "I had something more like this in mind," he said, grabbing my hips and hauling me against him, my arms wide so I didn't spill the coffee, as he kissed me long and hard until my toes went tingly.”
The story was interesting delving into her past and relationships, but more so, it had just a set of solid, really likeable characters, all different with a cute epilogue to top it off. Will continue the series and venture into the author's books.

I liked the premise - girl wakes up behind a restaurant dumpster, confused, in pain, and no belongings. And, she can't remember the last year of her life. She finds a PI to help her. This is an easy read. Both the H and the h - and supporting characters - are likeable. The story kept me interested. 3.5 rounded stars

Gadziala's Navesink Bank Universe is so intricate and fleshed out with the numerous characters that overlap in different stories with bits and pieces of background and backstories they've been involved in. I'm enamored with these books.
Sawyer & Riya's story
Sawyer heads his P.I. business with best friends Tig & Brock, while his brother Barrett runs his own P.I business. Riya just woke up in an alley behind Famiglia (Grassi Family restaurant) missing 367 days of her life with no recollection of what happened or where she's been. The police think she's nuts and she stumbles across the street finding Sawyer to hire and dig into her past. Thus starts an investigation that is frustrating, heartbreaking, and kind of gross. Along the quick 39 days the book takes place, the mystery of where Riya was and what happened bring her and Sawyer closer together and the friend circle helping out. Sawyer was such a sweetheart compared to other Navesink men and he was very up front. Despite what she'd been through, Riya was strong and had decisions she stuck to that aren't the usual norm for books. Fantastic story and I'm continuing in the "Navesink Bank Universe" reading order from the author's website.
Favorite Quote= Fear was like a coiled snake in my belly, ready to lash out and strike, shaking and shimmying like a rattler at the very idea of danger being near.

Ahhh!! 367 days was Ahmazingg!! I have read loads of Jessica Gadziala's stories but 367 Days was just next level. Sawyer and Riya were just perfection. I loved seeing Sawyer again after Savior. He was just my ideal alpha hero!! Gah!!!

On the plus side, it’s an interesting and well thought-out mystery, as well as a touching and meaningful romance. Lots of twists and turn in the plot will keep you wondering how the story ends.
On the down side, the denouement drags-on way too long to the point the author should almost have written a second book. The political correctness towards the end is so extreme as to move into the territory of cliché. And, finally, the leading man, Sawyer, has a disturbing and illogical admiration for the mob, which is completely out of character for a PI who is ex-military.

**ARC for honest review**
This was another great read for Jessica! I can't put her books down once I start! This book included. It was similar to all the other series with the strong female character who falls in love with her savior. I'm always curious about the plot because you just never know what's going to happen. Once again I'm blown away by the plot of this story! One year and two days of life gone! I'm not one for spoilers so take my word and read this book!
