At Erin Miller's lodge in the Kiamichi Mountains, tensions build as autumn approaches and a gang of escaped convicts terrorizes the area. Friends and neighbors join together to help each other in the wake of violence and storms. As a government agency tries to round up survivors and imprison them in work camps, Erin and her companions are forced out of the lodge and into the role of rescuers.
Note: Several characters are both conservatives and Christians. This book is clean, containing very little cussing. Kiamichi Storm deals with many issues, including abduction, trust, murder, self-defense, loyalty, sacrifice, and deception in the midst of a struggle to survive.
This series was enjoyable and entertaining to read and didn't have bad language or sexual encounters. It is based on what people would encounter when societies break down. It reads of the hard work and determination that would have to exist if people are to survive the loss of modern living. Spoiler alert. Story will be continued in another book. Dart! Hate waiting for the next one!! Enjoy.
I enjoyed this one. Still needs some improvement in editing, but not too bad. The story moved well and was a quick read. I think there's some issues with authenticity when it comes to all the vehicles the military has, but I think some creative license is okay for the story.
I had high hopes s for his sequel since the first one was so good. From the names changing (Ollie Simms in the first book is now Ollie Simmons), to the mixed metaphors, to the rambling story. It would have been better had the author concentrated on one storyline rather than trying to have multiple climax points in one book.
I have red the first two books in the series and found them both entertaining as well as informative. I am a firm believer in being prepared. These books give me insight on what I might need to be increase chances of survival when the s**t hits the fan.
The Simmons gang is eliminated. Erin and Tanner get married. Copied: As a government agency tries to round up survivors and imprison them in work camps, Erin and her companions are forced out of the lodge and into the role of rescuers.

Book two started where book one stopped. Story excellent and just knowing a bunch of People can do what is necessary to survive a very bad situation is wonderful. The scary thing, most people wouldn't have a lodge like that and that is scary.
This moved a lot at a better pace than the first book. I'm a little surprised that the government/military would be so well equipped and so unyielding. Good set up for another book.
I read the first book, and quickly read the second. This is a new concept for me (prepping), but incredibly fascinating. The dialogue and the romance can be a bit stilted at times, but the way things unfold and the situations arising more than made up for that. I recommend this as a must read for preparing for any future disaster, mother earth or manmade, and I agree with inviting people you trust to help each other short or long term.
I love the characters and the story. I love when the guys win and except for one character, no good people died! I was most unhappy with the one who did, however. But I guess that's life when TWEAWKI, right?
I really loved this book. It was a bit wordy at times and since I read a lot of this type, I found it a little lacking in some information. I really enjoyed the story and characters though and can't wait to read the next one. What a cliff hanger at the end!
C. Henry writes a very entertaining set of books. A lot of information of how to survive, well, just about any disaster. The characters are engaging and the story line keeps your interest. A note at the back has a list of what's needed to stock up on. Outstanding!!!
Another great read in this series, love the characters, the family unity. It's fast paced and keeps you wondering what next. Well done. Looking forward to the next book
A continuation of book one in the truest sense. A joy to read leaving you wanting more. Adding in the addition of new characters to keep the things moving along and interesting.
Kiamichi Storm continues the excellence in the Kiamichi Survival series. Well written, good character development, a great area to write about, what more could you ask. This has been a very enjoyable journey for me. I am just starting book three of the series, binge reading maybe? Check out this series if you like dystopian fiction. I highly recommend it.
