She needs to behave, or I’ll be forced to punish her.
Delaney Underwood is sexy as hell, with a killer body, wicked smile, and a spoiled rotten demeanor. She's a pampered rich girl, thinking she can get anything she wants, whenever she wants.
It pisses me off. I've struggled to survive, and I have the scars to prove it. Delaney’s going to make me a wealthy man, once her parents pay to get their precious angel back. I have no shame and I don’t give a fuck.
But every time I look at those sassy lips, I wanna put them to good use. Delaney has gotten under my skin and she knows it. Even before I took her hostage, she'd somehow managed to work her way into my blood, and my heart hammers harder in my chest every time she stares daggers in my direction.
She's craving someone like me in her life, whether she knows it or not, and with every bratty outburst, a part of me calls out to discipline her. She needs to be taught a lesson.
And I need her, all to myself. I promised to ransom her off, but once I have a taste of her sweet curves, I'm keeping her to myself.
She’s the hitman’s hostage and she’ll learn to love it.

After reading this book blurb, I thought it would be kind of a dark romance, but it turned out lighter and sweeter than my expectations. This was the story of Delaney, . This might sound like a typical kidnapped romance story, but somehow, I was somewhat surprised that it could bring a big smile to my face when I finished the book.
What worked for me:
1. Darios. He is a fascinating character. He's dangerous, dominant, ruthless, but anyway, it seemed like Delaney could simply bring out the soft side of him. And my heart just simply melted seeing him like this. Who would have thought a cold-hearted hitman could be sweet, gentle, and charming at times? His protectiveness and possessiveness really won me over!
2. The sex scenes were mind-blowingly HOT! I couldn't ask for more!
3. The plot twist. I have to say I didn’t see it coming. The author did a good job on this.
What didn’t work for me:
1. The story’s pacing. I found that the story moved a tad bit slowly and dragged toward the middle. Not until around the 60% mark did it pick up its pace. That means more than half of the book was slow which certainly didn’t sit well with me.
2. Delaney. Her character did me nothing! I didn't love her but didn't hate her, either. She's just too shallow to my liking and sometimes she could be quite annoying.
3. Too much internal monologue, mostly Delaney’s.
Despite many unrealistic things in the story, I enjoyed this book for the most part. It was a pleasant read overall.

This one was a tad bit darker for Alexis Abbott. She's really good with writing the bad boy's we all love who deep down have a lot of good in them. They are killers who usually work for or with the mafia, but they only go after the bad guys while also trying to protect innocent people. In this story, Darios is all of the above, except he isn't exactly protecting the innocent, he kidnaps them for ransom.
This was well written, but I did have a hard time connecting with the MC's. Delaney was a tad bit too immature for my liking and I felt a lot of bitterness from Darios. He seems resentful of the spoiled rich girls he kidnaps. Plus, for being in charge, he had too many associates pulling the wool over his eyes. This book was just ok for me. ARC provided by author.
“The world’s been your plaything your whole life, but I’m going to make you mine.”
Holy moly....Alexis Abbott has another surefire winner on her hands with HOSTAGE OF THE HITMAN!! It's so deliciously DIRTY, wildly ADDICTIVE and utterly PLEASURABLE I am still delirious with bliss!! This action-packed bad boy mafia hitman romance is chock full of danger, excitement, smoldering passion, thrilling twists and turns, and lots and lots of warm, tingly feels. I have read many of this mega talented author’s books, and in my opinion, this is by far her most enthralling work to date.
Spoiled little rich girl Delaney Underwood thinks it will be fun to defy daddy and head to Barcelona with her three friends for a wild weekend of revelry to celebrate their high school graduation. But her dream sojourn turns into a nightmare of epic proportions when she and her girlfriends are tricked into meeting some hot guys at a rooftop party and they end of being abducted by a notorious hitman and his cohorts!
The wickedly handsome Darios Esadze, the ringleader, is a heavy hitter in the Georgian Mafia and has set up quite a lucrative empire for himself: He targets rich, entitled American girls and holds them hostage until their parents can pay a hefty ransom. But he didn't count on Delaney, who looks like a ditzy blond brat on the surface but there is much more to the pouty spitfire than meets the eye. She fuels his lust and arouses his protective instincts like no other. At first he enjoys cruelly taunting his captive, teaching the pampered princess a lesson in humility by stripping her of all her worldly possessions and giving her a taste of subjugation, but try as he might he cannot resist her beguiling charms and soon finds himself as much her prisoner as she is his!!
Even though he knows it’s all kinds of wrong, Darios decides he wants to keep her for himself and to his shock and immense pleasure the virgin prisoner surrenders her heart, body and soul to him as he opens her eyes to the true riches in the world. But when mortal enemies target his most precious possession, can he take down his foes in one fell swoop and keep Delaney safe in his big, brawny arms?
Sighhhh! This hyper sexy, heart palpitating hitman romance left me breathlessly turning the pages and I could not devour this book fast enough! I FLOVED the premise of the bratty heiress who is abducted by the hulking Georgian hitman and his crew of bandits, gets stashed away in a rundown Spanish villa and eventually comes to discover what's truly important in life.
There is wonderful character development and emotional depth in the book and both Delaney and her hunky abductor quickly endeared themselves to me! I thought the action scenes in the book were thrillingly choreographed and they consistently left me on the edge of my seat. I also enjoyed the close-knit relationship between Delaney and her friends and how they banded together to survive their terrifying ordeal and did not let pettiness stand in the way of their abiding friendship.
But let's start with the star of the show. Darios! First of all, Alexis Abbott brings to life some of the swooniest bad boy mafia hitman heroes I've EVER read, and Darios is my current favorite! He is a powerful and menacing hulk of a man, PRIMALLY sexy, yet beneath the harsh exterior beats a tender, loving heart.
Darios has a rich backstory. He rose from the ashes of his war-torn childhood to become one of the most feared hitman this side of the Atlantic and feels unrepentant about his nefarious line of work. The way he sees it, the people he targets are living in oblivion in their ivory towers while those beneath them suffer on a daily basis. He considers what the does "leveling the playing field” and if he makes a little money while doing it, even better. Darios thought he had his life all mapped out until bratty, golden-haired, blue eyed heiress, Delaney, one of his latest "victims," worms her way into his cold, jaded heart, breaches his iron defenses and opens his eyes to a world beyond the next hit. But he fights his traitorous desires every step of the way.
"Why is this idle and unchallenged rich girl’s charm able to sway me? We grew up poor. Georgian-poor. And when we carry off these young girls for ransom, we do so knowing full well they’re nothing like us. They pass their time and extravagant wealth with idle playthings like cars and clothes and luxurious trips, and they care for none of it. That just makes me feel all the more furious over the feelings growing within me, about the undeniable care I’ve gotten for Delaney."
I absolutely adored Delaney and Darios together! They had sparkling chemistry galore, and generated so many sizzling sparks they set my Kindle ablaze!! The sex scenes in this book were so deliciously torrid and raw and ANIMALISTIC, and the powerful allure her captor had over Delaney was utterly intoxicating.
"I’m putty in this man’s hands. He has captivated me and intoxicated me, and in such a short time I have become painfully addicted to his attentions. I crave his touch and thirst for his voice. I dream of him when I sleep and I daydream about him when I’m awake.”
But there is far more to this alliance than just hot, sweaty sex. The emotional connection they forged was so achingly sweet and exquisitely tender I couldn’t hold back the big, lovesick grin on my face!! I love how these two brought out the best in each other. Darios saw a savvy mind, untapped potential and an infectious sweetness in his bewitching prisoner that he hadn’t anticipated, and he longed to help her see the world through his eyes and inspired her to embrace the girl she was always meant to be! Whereas she brought out his softer, gentler side and brightened the dark corners of his soul.
Ms. Abbott did a particularly impressive job depicting Delaney. She grows and evolves throughout her emotional journey and comes to realize that she's wasted far too many years "living between lies and deception" and just wants to have some authenticity in her life. But who would of thunk it that it would take being kidnapped by a menacing hitman to show her there's a glorious life to be lived beyond cheerleading, parties, expensive trinkets and flashy clothes?
I like how Delaney wages an internal battle against her forbidden passions for Darios, a merciless criminal who trades lives for pay, whether it’s in ransom or blood money. She should fear and revile him but for some reason she finds herself inexplicably in love with the man who ravishes her nightly and turned her whole world upside down.
"It blows my mind that Darios, this hulking, dangerous criminal of a man, can so effortlessly strip away all my best defenses. He can break me down and split me asunder with just a simple touch."
But the heart wants what the heart wants even if it's big, lethally sexy hitman!!!
Wowza...I could go on and on gushing about this book—one of my top guilty pleasures reads of the fall!--but I will leave it here. This wildly entertaining, blazing hot, dark erotic thriller left me SPELLBOUND! Now I shall wait with bated breath to be swept off my feet by Alexis Abbott’s next tantalizing Bad Boy Mafia romance!
I was really expecting to like this one. I'm usually a big fan of Alex Abbott and her bad boy romances but this book didn't work for me at all.
Delaney was throughly unlikable. She was, selfish, vain and immature. She spends the whole book telling us she's just pretending to be those things and she's really a smart nice girl. Her actions prove otherwise.
I found Darios slimy and not at all attractive. His interactions with Delaney were super cringey and just didn't work at all.
The writing was awkward and the dialogue was clunky. This isn't what I expect from this author.
**I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.**
These 2 had explosive chemistry.....explosive and intense are the best words to describe this couple....wwwwooooooowwwwww.
So, Delaney is a wealthy 18 year old....basically a pampered daddy's princess, who had the brilliant idea of going overseas with some "so-called" (1 is a hooker friend that should never be forgiven, worst friend ever....just sayin) friends to have some fun before meeting up with her parents. Parents that have no idea that she is doing this....hence the pampered daddy's princess. Delaney ia actually a very strong willed and intelligent young lady that has figured out how to play the beautiful, blonde airhead to control and manipulate the people around her....not gonna lie, I loved this about her. Very smart girl that is able to get any and everything she wants.
Her and her friends get there and immediately meet a gorgeous guy that invites them to a party. Apparently just a party for them, so that the men can kidnap them and ransom them back to their wealthy parents. I know, I know....not romantic, but when there is a great writer involved....it can be:). Enter in Darios, the handsome head of the kidnappers, who works for the mafia. I know, I know....you're still not convinced. He can be charming, but his strength lies in the fact that he is the alpha of the alphas....yeah, he is that guy.....people just want to submit to him and Delaney is not the exception.
With these 2 it was a battle of the wills....basically 2 alphas going head to head, I freaking loved it. You knew when these 2 got together it would be explosive and they definitely did not disappoint......bang, like an explosion going off. I always love the hitman stories and I have had a few favorites, but this couple together was my favorite of all her couples.....Hot. As. Hell.
I loved seeing Delaney become the girl she was always trying to hide and being the woman that Darios needed.....the submissive to his dominant. But make no mistake....she was only submissive to him and only in the bedroom. She was a take no crap woman for sure. Great book and story line. And great explosive couple. My favorite Alexis Abbott book to date.
copy received for honest review Delaney is an 18 year old socialite living a lie. She has learned how to manipulate the people around her to get what she wants. What she wants is to be free from all the pretentious trappings of her life. She plans a girl's weekend behind her parents back. Darius is the bad guy. He kidnaps rich girls and ransom them back to their families. For most of the book, Darius is not very likable. it was a little annoying when he kept calling hr "girl". He is just another bad guy. We learn a little about his past and how it shaped him into the man he is today. For most of the story the lot just rolls along. Most of he action happens toward the end. Darius somewhat redeems himself. The romance between to two seems a little forced. There didn't seem to be enough interaction between the two to actually get to know each other and fall in love. Overall, I enjoyed the story. The action scenes were well written. I could actually picture the fight scenes.
Another great read by the fabulous Alexis Abbott. A mixture of action and romance. This is a must read and I highly recommend it. Steam factor 10 stars. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
2.5/5 I was disappointed in this book. I loved the plot and loved the characters but the writing had way to much blah blah blah blah blah....... not nearly enough character to character interaction.
Regardless is was a safe read with a d awesome epilogue.
It's a really good author who can make you love a character who in all rights should be detested.
Darion, a Georgian who has mafia ties and kidnaps young rich girls for ransom is more than meets the eye. After kidnapping Delaney and her 3 friends for ransom, Darion realizes Delaney is not the typical rich girl. She is intelligent with a courage and determination that made me really like her despite her youth and Darion feels the same. She intrigues something deep in him.
Delaney needs to escape her life and she and three of her friends take a weekend trip to Spain to just be free and enjoy life. They meet some men who invite them to a party and at this the point they are taken. Their kidnapping and care is not at all what I expected. Darion and his men have a strength and darkness around them yet Delaney brings out a softer side to Darion. Their story captivated my attention and made me love Darion more than I anticipated.
With all the suspense the story was fantastic but when you add into the mix the romance it pushes the story over the top. Even if you're not into mafia romances I swear you would love this book. I'm looking forward to see what the author comes up with next.
Delaney is hiding her true self from everyone in her life. For a chance to have a little fun she and her friends vacation in Barcelona but little do they know, it's more than they bargained for when they are held hostage and offered up for ransom.
Darios captures rich Americans because he knows their parents will pay big money to get them back. But one little American has captured his eye more than he likes to admit.
As always, Alexis has done an amazing job of bringing complex characters and unusual circumstances into her stories. I love the start of the characters stories on how they came to be captive, hostage, etc by the hitmen. Then the gradual affection towards each other always has great buildup and when they finally explode, it's hot and exciting. I can't wait for the next story.
Author Alex Abbott has become a favorite go-to for a quick, fast paced read filled with a whole lot of sexy, suspense, action and some hot insta-love and insta-lust done right:) Yep, for me, I consider her my alternate to "Author Alexa Riley" and her super hot reads and I do mean that in the most complimentary way too!
I was short on time and needed a super hot n sexy "quickie" and this book did it for me:) Not a full 5 star because I did have a few very minor "issues" I would have liked tweaked a bit different but just due to my own personal reading quirks!
Alexis Abbott knows how to write a good romance novel. She has done it again with Hostage of the Hitman. I enjoyed the interaction between Delaney and Darios the scenes were hot!!!
The story is action packed and well written with a great plot line. I was a little dissapointed in the charachter development of Delaney but that did not take away from the story. If you are looking for a hot bad guy/good girl romance you will enjoy this story.
I read and reviewed an arc copy of this book of my own free will.
Another action-packed, fast-paced, well-written, romance by Alexis Abbott . You get suspense violence, murder, danger, kidnapping, intrigue, twists and turns, the mafia, hot sex, a spoiled, pampered rich girl, a hot and mysterious hitman, and a HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
I found this book so far the best from Alex Abbott. It start off different from the rest I have reviewed for her. I kinda found the ending a little to quick to end the book.
Delaney a spoiled brat in disguise. For to understand what I mean you would have to read the book. I don't like given spoilers
I read this whole series one by one and I would rate this whole book series.
My rating for whole book series is 3.5 stars.
This book starts good but lost me in the mid and that I think made me to give this one, series starters a 3.5 stars. Characters are good, but they are not great though there were ample plot to expand them through. There are few problems in the characters that are little confusing. I liked the plot, with Mafia in it. That I think may be the nice click to this. The flow and the pace of the story is good and I liked the way the scenes are written. I would say a nice one to read.
Little disappointed in comparison to the first one. Though it has something nice to read. I like the story and the characters but the one character is too much powerful that it took the other character completely and that's what I think little low for me. That's why I'm rating this book as 3.5 stars. The story and the plot can be more better, all around. I really liked the pace of the story with lot of love in it and that's I think that's the best thing about this book.
I liked this one because there is a mystery in it and there was something about the characters that made me connect with the story. There is a strong characters in the book and that made it fun to read, though I would have loved little more thrill in the book. I would like to rate this book as 4 stars. The plot is well written and the scenes are good. I like the dialogues. There is a ring to this book which is lovely.
This whole book series is like written around Mafia, and that's I think the good part about the series. You will like it and there is a reason why this book series is actually named as Hitman. The whole book series is thrill to read, though there are more to it but also there are some low points to the series in the books.
But on n all I would say this book series, I enjoyed to read this whole book series.
Hostage of the Hitman by Alexis Abbott is a fast paced, full of action, steamy ride. Like her other books, it is well written with interesting and well drawn characters.
Delaney and Darios are both from Georgia -- but Delaney is from Savannah, Georgia, USA while Darios is from Eastern Europe. Their lives growing up are also as far from each other as the their places of birth. Eighteen year old Delaney grew up in privilege, sheltered, the daughter of wealthy parents. Though it bothers her, to be accepted by her peers, she molds herself into a beauty, hiding her intelligence and becoming the "ice queen" and leader of her small group of close friends. Darios' life was the polar opposite. He has faced the mean streets of his home town, served time in jail, fought to survive and has become a Hitman for the Georgian Mafia. His affiliation with the mafia has him and his crew currently kidnapping and ransoming young affluent women back to their parents.
A naive Delaney with her three best friends travel to Spain for what they hope will be a very memorable weekend and are invited to a rooftop party by a handsome stranger. They accept and Delaney meets Darios there. While their chemistry is palpable, Darios has disdain for rich, pampered young women. As the evening wears down, the trap is sprung and the young women realize too late that they are at the mercy of their captors.
Darios is adept at sizing up people and realizes quickly that there is more to Delaney than he expected. Delaney is terrified but believes she has to be strong for her friends. Darios is intrigued by her and she is incredibly attracted to him. She is not like the young simpering compliant women he is used to and after saving her from one of his guards, they begin a romance that sizzles. Add in danger, betrayal and amazing fight scenes and this book will keep you engaged from the beginning to the end.
4 oh so dirty Stars!! This book was so naughty and suspenseful I couldn't put it down!
Delaney is a spoiled rich girl off to vacation with her besties on her daddy's dime even though he doesn't know it. Though Delaney is a spoiled rich girl there is more to her then meets the eye, she has wanted a challenge she just doesn't fit in to the lifestyle. Well while living it up overseas her and her girlfriends meet some very fine specimens of the opposite sex. Little did they realize they are criminals with ties to the mafia and well they are kidnapping these girls and holding them for ransom. Delaney has of course caught the eye of the head guy and no matter how much she tries she can't get him out of her mind. Will Delaney fall for her captor or will she find a way to escape?!?!
Darios is a dangerous man with an even more dangerous past! His current hustle is to steal rich girls and ransom them back to their rich parents. Darios has never let a woman get by his walls but this damn spoiled American brat is worming her way in. Can Darios keep it professional or is he going to throw caution to the wind and take what he wants?!?!
I love the story between these two. I love an ultimate bad boy and well they don't get any better then Darios. Yummy!! He killed for her! But he still has to maintain his business and she is just another transaction. Or is she?!!! Everything about this was explosive. You didn't know when shit would hit the fan or when it was time to get naughty. And his guards well they are not nice men, they will take what they want. I was on pins and needles. Ugggh. Loved it!! The ending was just as I wanted :)
**I received this book as an ARC from the author and in return I gave my honest review**
I loved this dark and stormy read by Alexis Abbott.
Delaney was like this chameleon that nobody ever saw coming!
She comes from this wealthy background and is underestimated by everyone who thinks they know her!
But underneath the façade she’s just playing a part she thinks she needs to, underneath she is this rebellious woman screaming for freedom that her lifestyle, friends and family can’t afford her!
Enter Darios!
HOLY SHITBALLS BATMAN – this guys was oozing sex appeal!
Dangerous and resolute he is the enigma that she has never encountered before! And she loves it! With Darios comes a freedom of self! He seems to unleash the person she is meant to be but...
He is her captor and she his hostage!
Let the fun begin!
This book kept me spellbound until I turned the last page!
The writing is awesome and flows seamlessly…making such a severe situation so much more realistic than simply words on a page!
There was so much more to this tale than just a captor and his hostage!
The characters grew and developed with the book and it was an amazing roller-coaster adventure that I was thrilled to be a part of!
With a shit tone of awesome dialogue, amazing chemistry and characters that transform and grow with the book, it was an awesome read!
This books is covered in grit and dirt and I loved it!
Alexis Abbott you are like the Dominatrix of Hitmen!!
A gifted copy was given to this reader in return for an honest review. Four girls go on holiday and end up having their lives changed. There are quite a few of this type of book out there at the moment, luckily they all vary slightly. This is a good read with a few twists and turns along the way, it is based mostly in different parts of Spain. We don't really get to know a lot about many of the bad guys only Darious, we also don't get much about what happens with the other three girls while being held. The story focus is just Darious and Delaney and what goes on between them, reading makes it seem as though this is based over just a long period of time but I figured it is only a couple of weeks so is a bit deceptive as to the event timeline. It does have excitement and some violent content as well as sexual, which is graphic. It is an enjoyable read though not quite as all consuming as some I have read along this type of theme, but that's just me someone else reading this sort of story for the first time would probably find the opposite. I guess I just would have liked it even more if there had been just a bit more about the dealings of ransom and the rest of the characters to give it a bit more depth, other than that very good.
The last two books have been a letdown after the terrific first books of this non series. Those were so emotional, but these are not at all. They are just missing something. It was hard to connect to either female or lead guy. The author isn't taking the time to develop characters that we care about. I would much rather have gotten Dario's back story than the spoiled rotten selfish game playing little girls! I don't things are getting thought out too well either. The whole Caitlin being taken and Darios without a clue, while all his guards knew was just jarringly strange and made no sense at all. How Darios was able to find his girl minutes after she was kidnapped, even though the guard was shot in the chest and had to make his way back to Darios while they are getting away was not explained. The author just made things happen and didn't bother to fill in the blanks for the readers. Had several of those in the last one too. I think she needs to take more time to flesh out her stories and much more time creating her characters and settings. Everything just seems rushed and unfinished.
I loved this book, it has an intriguing storyline. I did not care for Darios he was creepy and not likable at all, but he ended up growing on me. Delaney was not very likable either she is vain and self centered. She ends up growing on me also. Delaney and Darios come from two different parts of the world, physically and morally. They have very different ideas how the world works. Once Darios and Delaney start to understand each other's world there is a shift in there relationship. It's a very unlikely story, that Alex Abbott manage to make work for me. Alex Abbott knows how to write crime, suspense, violence and unlikely love. I had fun with the story and was grabbed from the beginning. In my opinion Alex Abbott did not disappoint with this story. If you don't like a creepy kidnapper or a rich brat then this story is not for you. In my opinion it is worth reading. I was given an ARC edition for my voluntary and honest opinion.
I loved the build-up that led to Delaney and Darios finally meeting. There was action right from the start that kept me on the edge of my seat desperately wanting to know what happens next. I did find Delaney quite annoy at the start. There was just something about her that I didn’t like very much. But as the story went on I was slowly warming up to her a bit and in the end I thought she was a a great character and perfect for Darios. And Darios… wow just loved him right from the start! I thought he was such a great character along with the others in the story. It was full of action mixed with a little romance and hot scenes, a really great read. I loved how one character from a previous book made a little appearance in this one, I love seeing characters inter-connect with the lives of others and it was great to see how everything turned out in the end. 4.5 Stars
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book
I've come to really enjoy Ms. Abbott's Hitman series, they are all different yet some of them interconnect. Normally her books the Hitman work for the Bratva but Darios is a different beast altogether. Instead of helping the innocent like most of Ms. Abbott's characters Darios kidnaps spoiled little rich girls. That's how he meets Delaney, she convinces 3 of her friends to go to Barcelona for a wild weekend of fun which quickly turns into a nightmare. Darios was intrigued by Delaney from the moment they kidnapped her and her friends. She brings out his protective instincts and arouses him like no one before. MY only problem is that if he liked her then why would he treat her first time like that? I don't understand why mostly all romance novels have to have hard and fast sex, especially when the woman is a virgin.
We meet our hitman in a chilling prologue – he may be Abbott’s roughest hitman yet! Delaney is 18, invincible and somewhat pampered young lady from Savannah, GA. Rather than join her parents in Europe she and her three friends sneak off to Barcelona Spain where they are kidnapped and held for ransom. Ironically Delaney has as much or more brains than looks – she just made a decision to play one down and the other up to fit in at school.
The relationship that evolves between these two is intense and powerful. Darios has enemies that come into play, and no one may escape unscathed in this thrilling, chilling, sensual story.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
I have to say, I love Alexis Abbott's books and this one was not an exception. This book had a little bit of everything I love in a good reading experience...action, romance, intrigue and hot, hot sex!!! Darios and Delaney are really a great couple who meet under crazy circumstances. They should not be attracted to each other, especially her, much less end up in a relationship, but they do and it works! This book is an extremely fast paced, quick, enjoyable read. I highly recommend it and look forward to reading more from this author.
Hostage of the Hitman is a sinfully dark and delicious romance, filled with action and suspense. Delaney has been underestimated by family and friends for her entire life, and up until now, that's exactly what she wanted. Darios has used his cunning and wits to survive in a savage world and he won't allow himself to care for anyone - until he meets Delaney, who just may be his match. Highly recommend - the writing is top notch, the characters are complex and the story just flows. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Alexis writtimg never disappoints! Adventure, danger and love all rolled into one book. Delaney is eighteen years old. Always trying to stay on the up and up. With rich parents nothing is out of her reach. Always the pampered princess. But something is missing from her life. A piece she thought she lost a long time ago. But with recent events maybe just maybe she will find herself and so much more.
