3 principles of dialectic materialism. 1-Unity and struggle of oppositions, 2- Transformation of quantity into quality and transformation of quality into quantity, 3- Negation of negation. Heraclitus- Doctrine of flux- Doctrine of flowing river, Doctrine of change, everything is continuously changing, change is the law of nature, change is inevitable, you can not avoid the change, you must be prepare for the change. Hegel- Thesis- Anti Thesis- Synthesis. Base and superstructure. Mode of production and economic relations are the base. Society, law and state are the superstructure. If base changed then superstructure will be also changed.
This book is a wonderful introduction to the philosophy of Dialectical Materialism, and also coincidentally wonderfully short. The negative aspect of the brevity, however, is that the argument for Dialectical Materialism seems lacking. To me, a Marxist, albeit not a very philosophically proficient one, this book seems to state that Dialectical Materialism is a science because revolutions have happened before. I don't find that entirely convincing.
