'Noahic' is an existential rollercoaster into a world unknown to modern man. Wonderful imagery, memorable characters, and twists and turns abound in this novel about a group of men on a dangerous mission.
Progeny is the updated version of this story and is also available in the Kindle store and in paperback.
Shawn Hopkins lives with his wife and daughters in Pennsylvania. He holds degrees in theology and likes exploring the speculative side of such topics through the telling of unique stories and their characters. He enjoys a good thunderstorm, football, movies, and of course reading. He is busy on the next book.
Took quite awhile to get into the main plot of the book, and then it felt like it took forever to get to the end. Plus the cut-aways back to the main character's wife seemed unnecessary.
That being said, I still enjoyed it. Lots of action, mystery as to where they really were. Some great discussions of things in the real world that Christians tend not to discuss - UFOs, The Bermuda Triangle, Giants, Nephilim, spiritual warfare, etc.
This book reminded me of "Lost" a little. He writes like Peretti in showing us the spiritual world. It was quite gory, a bit scarey and very entertaining. Two soldiers did become believers - so the Plan of Salvation was presented.
