Well this series started out really cute and it had potential, but it unfortunately went downhill 😭 I actually read this manga back in 2018 and I had no idea if I finished it or not. Turns out I did, but the ending was so bad I just blocked it out of my memory 💀 the whole plot with Serena and then that female love rival whose name I already forgot really pissed me off. The ending felt really incomplete and rushed :/
I found Ririko and Minato a character that is both complex and mature compared to the rest of the cast.... Ririko is independent, makes decisions on her own, and has patience for annoyance, unlike Minato, whom despite his maturity, has little tolerance for nosy people. They are both kind and tries their best. They respect each other.
The rest of the cast, especially Aoi was not too nice. Aoi was just a pitiful individual who has a victim complex. She claims that Ririko can do without Minato since Aoi has only Minato by her side. Ririko must be saint..... However, their growth and development into a tolerable/okay individual was a nice touch from the author.
The art and the written story was fantastic too. One of the best shojo manga for normal-highschool themes.
Series review: It started off with a lot of cliches but since it's very easy to read, I binged it until the last volume. It was a fun read and the drama isn't overdone, dragged out, or exaggerated. There were also a lot of fluff, which I really loooved (give me all the fluff). I enjoyed it so much and I will likely re-read it in the future!
I’m so glad that I picked up this series. This ending, in comparison to some other shoujo, was really well rounded and concluded nicely. (Helps that it gives off happy vibes, lol.)
