Rate this book

Since there are not many books available for learning Greek as a foreign language, Κλικ Στα Ελληνικά Α1 might be one of the best choices we have. Here are my pros and cons as a certified language teacher:

Pros:
+ Covers all language skills.
+ Follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
+ Includes many pictures and interractive activities.
+ Comes with companion books.

Cons:
- The content is not well-structured. There are not enough texts to work with, and the pages are overloaded with excercises, sometimes mixed with theory, causing confusion to students.
- Some excercises are extremely short.
- It does not save teachers' time, as they will need to provide more detailed theory and texts to support their lessons.
- Given its high cost, (Sweden 559 sek) one would expect a better-structured and more detailed book. Similar books for other languages cost about half as much.
- Might be too difficult for absolute beginners.

Overall, this coursebook did not fully meet my expectations. It feels less like a foreign language textbook and more like a collection of a teacher's handouts, albeit with many pictures and colors in it. However, it does fulfill its purpose, and I hope that it will improve in the future.
