Beside his own image, Dane Bainbridge sees another; a beautiful ginger haired beauty--behind her, red mountains and clouds as if from another world. He's seen her his entire life, a life filled with glamour and fame... and loneliness. For the woman in the mirror is his one true love. But, this he does not know, not until he is dragged into her world--one of beasts and lands beyond imagination. One where his sacrifice is the only thing keeping her and the world in which she resides alive.

Once they are together, he remembers it all, and that knowledge means his doom for all eternity. But if he escapes her world, she will perish as will all others behind the looking glass. He is the key that keeps her alive, and she is the key that gives him hope. Can they break the curse that keeps them separated by torture and death? Can they escape together from a world that exists beyond every mirror?

I was sold on this book by the advertisement that appeared on my kindle. Unfortunately, 30% into this story and I have to tap out. The premise is good, but the execution and writing did this one in for me.

The best romantic fantasy book I have ever read! This book will blow your mind. I read the paperback, which I prefer, and plus the digital is not out yet. But if you like Kindle, you HAVE to read this book, if you enjoy a good fantasy romance! I read some early reviews on this book (all 5 stars), which is why I had to try it, to see if it was as good as stated. It was better. Why this book is not on the big best seller lists is beyond me. I have read some of those "big" books and this one's way better! Don't take my little word for it... read it yourself and find out. If you are like me, you will want to read it again, just so it never ends.

*I have received a copy of this book for an honest review!*

First of all, thank you to Ms. Church for this opportunity.
This was such a complex story, it had so many scientific elements and yet it was so rudimentary at its core. The talk of other dimensions and reincarnation, they are at opposite ends of the spectrum. One leads you to think of science and the other at religion. And though it appears to be so antagonistic it is really wonderfully woven. You don't even feel when you've crossed the gap between proof and belief.
I loved the explanations and the descriptions of all the places were so well developed. The world building was exquisite.
I loved Meirah, for somebody so unaccustomed with the Mortal Dimension, she managed so well, she struggled so much. It was heartbreaking to read. Her strength was immeasurable.
Dane was such a lost soul. I wept for him. All he has endured along his numerous lives. Almost impossible to grasp. But he persevered and he showed Fate off. That was an amazing feat, and one that wrote his character in bold letters. I did not care much for his promiscuous ways as his latest incarnation, but I believe I understand his empty heart and the ways he was trying to feel it. And deep down he knew that it was in vain, and it was not working, alcohol and women can only do so much when you have a void inside.
This was a love story for the ages.
And there is one more character that I appreciated, Kaeplan. I think he was grossly misjudged and transformed into villain. He only had one flaw, he loved a girl who didn't love him back. In the end, this made him bitter and unable to see his loss and move on. I kind of have some pity for him. He has been dreaming of something since he was a child and nothing materialized for him. And even his underhanded way of making Meirah promise her hand was out of his unstoppable desire for her. A desire he wrongly thought she shared. So, I think he deserves redemption and happiness, wherever he should find them.
All in all this was a very interesting read. A book that makes you think of so much more. It's something very inspirational and deep.
Thank you again. I hope more people get to read this great story.

Beyond Every Mirror by Christine Church is an amazing fantasy. Christine Church's novel was well-written. Every page intrigued me further. I couldn't put this book down...the scenes were vivid and exciting. The characters were well-developed. There is a famous rockstar musician, Dane. He sees a woman in a mirror. Their connection is deep, intant, and painful. Painful due to their separation. Magic keeping them apart. As they get to see opeach other time from time in another time dimension, the plot thickens. Danger and a blazing need by both characters will knock readers off their seats. Dragging them into the book. A curse they must break. I got to explore an unusual world where Dane meets his love, Meirah. Meirah is a unique character. She's strong just like Dane. Not exactly human either. Dane is human. He's clever, strong, and talented. Only he can save her...Beyond Every Mirror brings sacrifice, family, and love into readers' palms. These themes were woven in a perfect blend. Just the right amount of action, romance, and adventure. Once the book has been opened, there's no returning...the writing plunges readers into its depth. Overall, I highly recommend this to fans of the Lord of the Rings.

This book is a little hard to review for me. I was getting way too much information and so it dragged on and on for me. It took me months to finish because I just could not get into the story. I thought the story line itself though is really good. I think it would make a good movie because it would just have the main points in the movie. At the beginning we are clueless as to what the heck is going on so nothing was grabbing my attention. We meet Dane, a rock star. When he looks into mirrors he sometimes sees a lady staring back at him and he has his whole life. Then we are taken to another dimension and meet Meirah and learn all about her. Finally when we get into Part II of the book we are taken to the 1600s and finally learn what is going on. I ended up skimming the last third of the book to see how it ended. I do not like torture when I read a romance and this one has torture many times but that is just my preference. This is book one in a trilogy.

⭐⭐⭐
Beyond Every Mirror by Christine Church is a 3⭐ read for me. Christine does an amazing job of painting the images so clearly, you can visualize yourself standing next to Meirah and Dane. The description of the characters leaves little to the imagination, as she brings them to life for you. I do love how each chapter pertaining to the different character is labeled and you can genuinely feel the love story unfold. I think it would make a great movie, however, the writing style is just not for me.

Sadly, I found myself resorting to Google search in a desperate attempt to figure out words with no such luck. Even for fantasy this was a bit too over the top. I feel there should be a key code or glossary. At times the cat and mouse game became overwhelming leaving little desire to continue.

If you like old time,  paranormal,  multidimensional travel, with a strong base in romance, this book is for you.

It rambled too much. Maybe I'll revisit it another time, but this book rambled and rambled and rambled. Maybe I should ramble to let you know what it felt like to ramble and ramble and ramble.

I have a hard time thinking this book was edited because it seemed like so much of it could have been left on the cutting room floor and the story would still have been intact.

But the characters were interesting!

Nope nope nope... totally done. I spent nearly 2 months trying to read this.. just ugh.. can't do it anymore.

I'm sorry. This book is all over the place, barely makes sense, the characters are terribly un-relatable. I would of loved to love this, considering I got a free copy for review, but I just can't.

The pain that registered on her face at his words nearly sent him sprawling to the straw. His body shook, not only with the cold that had overtaken his healing torso but with fear, anguish and the battle with himself to take back the words, to gather her into his arms and say he was sorry and he would never let go. But, she needed to heal and she needed to move on with her life, such as it would be. And, though she may never forget, one day they would stop making her watch his death, witness the tortures. She would have children and a life, a family of her own. Something she could never have with a 'sacrificial pawn,' as he saw himself.
“It’s time for you to go, Meirah, and never come back.”

This was a great fantasy story, imagine being a famous rock star but every time you look in your own mirror you see a red haired women even when you are child, but nobody believes you.

Then you are approached at a concert as a women thinks you are somebody from her past because you look identical, what is going on in Danes life are the dreams he suffered with since a child still dreams or memories of things that have happened in the past?

With so many questions and no answer Dane becomes more frustrated, then he sees the women at his concert on the huge mirror and other band members see her too!! Dane needs to find answers and quickly!!

This is a fantastic fantasy story with a long term love story also entwined, the story keeps you interested until the end.

A good story

I really enjoyed this story. I gave it 4 stars because it was hard to get into at first. The concept is very interesting and the characters are well thought out and written. I even liked Kaeplan, at first. However, at some points I found it very dark and a little depressing. At those times I would just put the book aside for a bit. Overall, a very good story. On to book 2.

The image is real

A human sacrifice feeds a wizard. A young girl is raped. Compassion moves another to defy convention. Past lives happened.

>Book Review – Beyond Every Mirror

>This book is a standalone novel with an HEA for the two main characters, yet leaving a few situations up in the air. Dane is a famous musician. Sex, drugs and rock & roll are his lifestyle. He has spent his life avoiding mirrors, due to the woman he is constantly seeing in the mirror. On his 30th birthday, Dane is kidnapped through a mirror and meets the woman face to face. Meirah is from another dimension. She is forced to watch Dane die, reincarnate and die again every 30 years. Her world is full of magic, but not a lot of technology. The people of her dimension eat animal blood and celebrate the torture of a human every 30 years.

>Dane eventually regains the different lifetimes of memories, beginning from his very first life as Sir Kory. Sir Kory vows to never have another human wife after his wife is murdered. Dane now understands why he cannot commit to anyone and is just a manwhore. Meirah is not human and they do fall in love in each of his reincarnations. The chemistry between Meirah and Dane is non-existent. Some of the descriptive scenes just go over the same situations that Dane goes through, making the reader want to skip entire sections to get to the story.

>Different situations in the story are described for way too long and drag the story down. The scenes where Meirah and Dane are escaping and fighting by the mirror is one example of too much description and not enough moving the story along. Dane’s depression and Meirah’s travels are other examples of situations where less would have been better.

>This book is appropriate for an adult audience due to scenes of torture. I am giving this story 4 stars. I am a reviewer for Romance Author’s that Rock. The story idea is a good one, but there needs to be more movement in the plot and less repetition. The HEA ending doesn’t address the issues that Meirah may face.

Beyond every mirror is a creative fantasy romance novel. It is set in both the past and present day as the story unravels. The book has a poetic smooth writing style which makes it a little more difficult to read as a bedtime story as it takes that little extra attention.

Dane Bainbridge has died a thousand deaths. He feels a glitch in the world as he knows it but he doesn't quite understand it. He is forced to re-live his life without ever knowing he is stuck in a loop of events leading back to the same place. His life changes through time but he is true to himself.

Meriarh is an immortal who is expected to choose a life partner of her own kind. Everyone has high standards for her and her path through life is already drawn out but you cannot choose who your heart belongs to.

Dane and Meriarh are worlds apart but fate may just work itself out.

Fantasy novels are probably one of the hardest to write because a whole new world is created. This novel was a good attempt. It is split into sections to help tell the story. It can be read as a standalone however it is left open to a second instalment.

4 stars out of 5.

This book was pointed out to me via the author however I read it for free using kindle unlimited.

Time travel. Paranormal. Contemporary romance. Sign me up. Ms. Church creatively and successfully combined all three of these genres into a great story. Loved it.

11/24/2014, Aiken, SC. Dan Bainbridge (Sakkana) had a Goth band.

Nurse Burly was checking all of Dane’s vital signs.
The prison master was not pleased with her. She was the 1st. mortal to come through the Looking Glass.
The ritual had begun.
1797, Jirenah (mom) had once wished her daughter Meirah (Mikarian committee member) would marry Kaeplan.
He had died.

As Red Hair Sr. & Red Hair Jr. watched Meirah she peered through the Main Looking Glass.
Dane was on the other side in the Mortal Dimension.
Sir Kori Blackmore was made a Knight.
Sir Blackmore, Sakkana (wizard) & Dane got into a battle. Who would come out on top?
Not all Dimensions feed of off human blood.
Minneapolis, MN. The band had a gig at the Target Center.

What would happen with Dane & Meirah?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written fantasy book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great fantasy movie, animated cartoon, or better yet mini TV series. Not my normal rea but I like it. That said I will rate it at 5 stars.

Thank you for the free Goodreads; MakingConnections; Grey Horse press; Autographed; paperback book
