A fangirl nurse. An ill-fated rocker. When she steps back in time to save him, will their affections spell happily ever after? 2007. Evie Reid has dedicated her life to helping others heal. Aspiring to return to school and become a doctor, the full-time caregiver spends her few spare moments as president of a now-defunct rock band’s loyal fan club. But she never imagined her two passions would crash together with a single chance to travel ten years into the past and prevent the troubled lead singer’s shocking suicide. 1997. All Bellamy Lovel feels is cavernous loneliness. Still blaming himself for his father’s death years prior, the frontman masks his pain with the cocky flash and fly aloofness everybody expects. And the last thing he needs is some lame personal assistant to keep him on the clock, especially not the wacko that practically tackled him just for standing too close to a ledge. Thrust into the thankless position of keeping her idol out of trouble and on schedule, Evie struggles to hide her intentions and suppress her growing feelings. And surprised to find a woman who actually keeps it real, Bellamy can’t help making space amidst the darkness in his heart for her warm tenderness. Has tragedy already been written into their love story, or will their passion prevail as an all-time number-one hit? Two Worlds Collided is the standalone first book in the exhilarating Rock Star Romance series. If you like fascinating personalities, touching compassion, and hilarious shenanigans, then you’ll adore Karen Michelle Nutt’s backstage ballad. Buy Two Worlds Collided for a hopeful encore today!

The idea of a woman traveling back to change the past so that the lead singer of her favorite band and a person she has crushed on since her teens doesn’t end up committing suicide tickled my fancy. This was a new to me author and narrator so I anticipated it all around.

Evie and her fan club friends are mourning the loss of a singer who was legendary during his life and his fame for his talented singing lives on ten years later. Her little story of a teenage connection with him and the fact that she still has his necklace from the encounter enthuses her friend to perform some witchery to send her back to the past. From there, she has the task of getting close to Bellamy and helping him find a reason to keep on living and fight through his personal demons.

A story like this could go a few different ways and, in truth, I took a chance on it because I’m not generally drawn to rockstar romances. But, this one took on a fairytale quality early on so that reality was heavily dosed with romance. The rocker world is there, but there is something very sweet about Evie and Bellamy’s summer of romance. I liked the tension of knowing that Evie is on a time schedule to help him before she has to go back to the future. And, I liked that she knew upfront because of the magic, that she did indeed have to go so there wasn’t that tugging one way or the other. She could only hope that he would indeed grasp hold of life and dream that he’d come and find her afterward.

The unique twist for me was when the story came back to the present. I didn’t know how that was going to work anymore than Evie did, but it was fascinating how that was done and it added an interesting layer to the story. I loved the finish of this one and it was just as adorable as a fairytale rockstar romance ending could be.

Sharmila Devar was new to me and I enjoyed her husky voice for Evie and her friends and some of the male characters like her brother and the band members. But, I don’t think her voice for Bellamy was a good match. Her husky male voice was too hoarse for a strong lead singer’s voice would be, in my opinion. She did great at the emotion and pacing of the story that kept my attention from start to finish.

All in all, it was a blend of sweet and spice. Light, but deeply touching. A fabulous blend of time travel and rockstar romance.

My thanks to Audiobookworm Reviews and the author for the opportunity to listen to this book in exchange for an honest review.

**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book.**

I'm speechless. I don't even know where to begin.

This book was amazing. Absolutely fantastic. I wasn't sure about the whole idea of merging a time-travel theme with a rock star romance but damn... it really worked. So well, that I didn't want this story to end.

Evie can't believe that her friend has just suggested they perform a ritual that will send her back in time to save the life of a suicidal rock star. One who she had a short run-in with during her teen years and almost had a chance to work for, at one point in time. But when she lands in the past and gets a phone call five minutes later, she instantly agrees to work for Bellamy with hopes of saving his life.

Bellamy doesn't want a baby sitter. And he doesn't need a boring girl, with no sense of how to enjoy herself, raining on his pity parade. When she starts to make him question his reckless ways, he can't help but want to impress the girl who should be easy to ignore.

For reasons he can't explain, Bellamy's drawn to Evie like a moth to a flame. But flames are dangerous and their time is limited. Evie does all that she knows to do in order to help Bellamy see that his life is worth living. Because once she goes back to the future, Bellamy's fate will be in his own hands.

The beginning made me a little nervous because we learn a bit about the rock star who took his life too soon and just moments later we are already in the thick of the time-travel. I was worried that the rush would hurt the story but once we arrived in the past, I was enthralled in the story.

I connected easily with Evie. She was a straight-shooting character and didn't shy away from Bellamy's attempts to get rid of her. Bellamy blew my mind. He was raw and real and layered with so much regret and emotion that he artfully hid behind his I-don't-give-a-damn persona. I fell in love with both of these characters long before they fell for each other.

The way this story was written was nothing short of beautiful. There were highs and lows where I could really feel Bellamy's struggles with the ghosts that haunted him and the addictions that he fought to end. I could see the glimpses of his soul slowly being pieced back together as he found a kindred spirit in Evie. It was just fantastic.

But don't let all of this talk about emotions and depression fool you. This book had a lot of steamy sex and plenty of surprising moments of pure romance. I think I mentioned to my husband how much I liked this story about ten times over the five hours it took me to read it. I laughed, I teared up, I blushed, and I even bit one of my fingernails off while reading a certain worrisome chapter.

In closing...
In the end, this book delivered things I hadn't even ordered, but I'm so glad I signed up to review it. I cannot praise this story enough. Five stunning suns!

Time travel, best friends, rock and roll - what could there be not to love?

This is a story about taking action to make positive changes. It is about facing one's own fears in order to become a better version of yourself. It is not all hearts and flowers. There are dark days and dastardly deeds, honest desires but backsliding events.
While Evie seems to only be gone for moments in one lifetime, weeks in another, the time shift develops over years.

Well written, with characters you will love even when you are angry at them, you won't know until the story ends if it was worth taking this risk.

I LOVED this book. I saw it first in Snippet Sunday and couldn't wait to read the whole thing. When it came out I bought it that day, but took my time to devour it. What a great story about redemption for both characters. Evie had to take a chance and move beyond the fears that held her bound. To be honest, she needed to go back in time rather than take the opportunity the first time because she needed the skills to deal with Bellamy. And Bellamy had such pain and depression and loss, he needed Evie to help him see the light. This was a serious subject (beyond the time travel) and Ms. Nutt handles it with grace, humor, and compassion. Read it. You get magic, romance, and connection. I highly recommend this tale.

I like reading time travel stories, but this wasn't your usual time travel story. Most time travel stories that I've read were about a female in the present being sent to the old west, or Scotland in the 1400's, with no idea how to get back to their own time. This book broke that mold. Right away, you find that Evie will be going back 10 years to prevent the suicide of a famous rock star. You have no idea whether her time there had changed the future until she returns back to her own time. Once Evie and Bellamy fall in love you start to wonder how life will go on once she returns to her current time. This was one of those book's where once I started it, I couldn't put it down.

If only........ Two Worlds Collide makes one wish for the impossible. Going back in time Evie sets out to change the events leading up to the destruction of rock star Bellamy with interesting results. Bad boy Bellamy finds himself being attracted to no-nonsense Evie and in spite of himself starts to reexamine his choices. It's a sweet love story with dark undercurrents as prevalent today as they were back in 1997. Time travel is not my favourite genre, however I did find this an entertaining read. This was an amazing book to read. I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to reading more of her books. This happens to be my first book that I have by this author and I was just stuns on how beautiful this was.

The characters were very well written and you could feel there emotions with them. I fell in love with Evie and Bellamy. There Romance was not easy at first they had to work on it. Of course when it was all good there was some steamy hot sex scenes.

This was a well written beautiful story that I didn't want to end. I wanted more. Best book I have read this year.

Highly recommend to time travel romance/ rock star fantasy reader lovers. You will not be disappointed.

I received a ARC of this book to give a honest review.

Two Worlds Collided (Kindle Edition)
I just read Two World Collided yesterday and fell in love with Evie. I was shocked when the time travel back in time by ten years actually worked. Bellamy, the rock star with deep depressive tendencies, was quite well developed and interesting. Evie, his nurse and assistant, really had trouble keeping herself on track. I've never been one to hanker after that rock star lifestyle or be a groupie. Bellamy was such a mess with his drinking and drugging and women. I thought Evie did a wonderful job of giving him a reason to live. It's a quick and very interesting read. You will enjoy this well-paced and intriguing novel by Karen Nutt. Give it a try!

This book took off on page one and didn't slow down until the last page. I personally loved that Karen Nutt at the end of the story gave a picture of the how things actually turn out. I love epilogues and so many writers leave them out, this was not under epilogue just the last chapter of the book. I also appreciate how she brings to life depression, grief, drug addiction, and suicide. She handles these sensitive subjects very well. She really takes you into the head of Bellamy who is suffering from all of these problems.

In the book We have 3 friends who are still hung up on a singer who committed suicide 10 years before. They run a fan club and schedule events since more then just the 3 of them are still hung up on Bellamy Lovel and the Civilized Heathens.

One night Evie and her friends come up with an idea to send Evie back in time. Evie had the chance before Bellamy died to be his assistant 10 years earlier and decided not to. When she goes back in time instead of saying to to the job she takes it. It is up to her to help Bellamy so he lives. She will be brought back in time before she knows if it works or not though. Evie is a little afraid of changing time and tries not to change too much.

This is really a wonderful book. It is filled with romance, and as I said mental health issues. The book in a way actually brings awareness without being a text book. I am very glad I was able to read this book.

My new favorite of my mom's books. Doesn't hurt that it's loosely based on an Australian musician we both love. In this book, the rock star is of Romanian decent mostly because of my crush on a certain actor. ;) Thanks, mom! lol

But in all seriousness. The story is great. It deals with some real issues without drowning you in misery while reading it. I love the way my mom writes romances and this one in particular is one of her best ones... so do yourselves the favor and buy this book- let yourself to transported back to the nineties and fall in love with Bellamy Lovel just as Evie Reid did. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I recevied a complimentary copy.

Ok so the rocker romance thing happens in many forms through life in movies books etc, and the time travel is not a new thought, but the way the author brings a unique writing style makes this a book worth reading. It does not skip do much that you can not follow it and keeps fantasy but blends in reality in a way that make it seamless. The characters are like reading people you have seen in a few movies.

I received this book from net galley for an honest review. Thank you!!

This novel was a better read than I was expecting it to be. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. This is a time traveling romance novel that deals with situations many people come across today. It shows that people can overcome obstacles and become better people. You need to want to change, no one can force you to.
Bellamy Lovel dies in 1997 due to suicide. He was in a band and an amazing singer. Evie Reid begins a fan club sometime after his death. In 2007, she feels that his death could have been prevented. She had an opportunity to be Bellamyu's assistant but she turned it down due to what happened at a concert with him when she was 14. Her friend said she can travel back in time to try and prevent Bellamy's suicide. She takes that chance and winds up back in 1997.
Bellamy does not want an assistant but Evie has every intention of saving him. He tries to persuade her to leave but she does not. She wants to be his friend an tells him so. He still blames himself for his father's death and turns to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain. Evie is able to get through to him and she begins to fall in love with him. Bellamy begins to deeply care for her. No one has ever done for him what she has. They do through up and downs in their relationship.
However, Evie is sent back to 2007 before the terrible event can occur. On that night, Bellamy is contemplating about suicide. He has no desire to live. Will Evie have made a difference and prevent his untimely death or will history remain as it is?
