Aujourd'hui, Yotsuba a très envie d'aller au bac à sable et elle y traîne l'affable Fûka avec qui elle testera divers rôles de marchande. Dans ce nouveau volume, nous rencontrons enfin une personne importante dans la vie de la petite Yotsuba : sa mamie, venue passer quelques jours chez son fils et sa petite-fille. Celle-ci en profitera pour lui inculquer quelques notions ménagères, en n'oubliant pas de la gâter un peu... Malheureusement pour Yotsuba, toutes les bonnes choses ont une fin.

What can I say? Yotsuba is what you would expect: charming, hilarious and full of fun. I took my time with this one, reading chapters on the bus on my phone, when I'm normally accustomed to reading physical formats. I loved this volume especially since we got to know more about Yotsuba's family! I absolutely adored her grandma, and there is one panel in the whole manga book which I absolutely LAUGHED MY SOCKS OFF. I'm going to learn how to add pictures in these reviews to show you.

Also first FULL book in tbr reducer readathon!

I read this right after taking my babies to visit their Grandma, and in it Yotsuba's grandma visits and they have a wonderful time together, feeling each other out and falling in love, as one does with one's grandparents. Also! I don't think I've read any Yotsuba since I had a kid, especially a more-or-less world-aware kid with a blossoming wacky personality. So it's even more poignant for me to read Yotsuba as a parent, and I really enjoyed it, and it made me a bit misty. More, always more, please.

buku cetak pertama yang saya punya tahun ini!.
tapi nggak beli, dibeliin hasil malak senpai hehehehehehehehe

dan ya, karena saya sebenarnya sudah baca versi scan di salah satu web baca komik, cerita2 disini udah gak begitu bikin kagum dan terpesona banget ya. TAPI TETAP BIKIN GEMAS SIH hehe.

terjemahan indonya kacau banget ya ternyata wqwq. ada beberapa yang koplak, dan ada juga kok yang kayak serius banget gitu. kemarin saya sampai niat buka yang versi web dan bandingin sama terjemahan indonesianya gitu. dan ya,,memang kadang kalau di terjemahin ke indo agak aneh wqwq

Nenek Yotsuba datang berkunjung, menginap tiga hari, kemudian pulang. Kedatangan seorang nenek, sosok perempuan dalam hidup Yotsuba ternyata penting juga ya. Ayah yang tidak senang bersih-bersih, tentu berbeda sekali dengan nenek. Yotsuba belajar membersihkan rumah. Sebuah pengalaman yang baik sekali untuk dipelajari oleh anak-anak. Kalau sejak kecil anak tidak pernah terlibat dalam urusan bersih-bersih rumah, kemungkinan besar ketika besar nanti ia akan menghadapi kesulitan kan? (Terlepas dari gender apapun, belajar bersih-bersih rumah adalah hal yang penting. Sepertinya saya pentingnya dengan memasak ya?)

This volume is one of the better in the series, mainly because the presence of grandma unveils previously hidden aspects of the characters and the dynamics in their relationships.

Grandma cleans up the dirty house with cleaning supplies she brought with her from home; she makes great food in great quantities ;) and teaches Yotsuba many things her father (still a child in many aspects, and one cannot help but wonder how was he approved for Yotsuba's adoption) doesn't know or appreciate... yet. And also, she shows Yotsuba that not everything goes, and that certain behaviors won't bring desired results no matter how fervently one would wish for them - even if one dresses up as a black ghost to keep grandma from going home ;)

What a little bundle of energy Yotsuba is! Her and Grandma are adorable together, and her not wanting grandma to leave was the best. A cute, slow, simple story!

Yay, Yotsuba is back and kicking! I am so delighted to see this manga back again.

It took a long time for the manga to be back, and I hope it won't leave again, or any time soon at least. Since this manga is just so hilarious and funny. Yotsuba is a really fun (though a bit weird) kid, and it is fun to see how she views this world. Even though time moves slowly, you do see her grow. For instance in this book they are talking about that it is time for Yotsuba to sleep in her own room, in a bed (that still needs to be bought). I do hope that we see Yotsuba going to school, though I can't imagine someone as Yotsuba going to school. I feel kind of sorry for the teachers. ;)

Most of the manga is about Yotsuba's grandma who is coming for a visit. I just had a few laughs at Yotsuba trying to headbutt her grandma and then getting blocked by grandma. Yotsuba really loves her grandma, and it was so sweet to see how she acted around her. Though I think the whole present/souvenir thing was a bit too much, and I found it rude. Sure, she is a kid, but she shouldn't be begging for presents. Luckily her dad (and also grandma) also scold her.
I felt sad for Yotsuba at the end of the volume. Don't worry Yotsuba your grandma will visit again.

The manga just flew by, and now I have to wait for another volume again. Hopefully soon, since Yotsuba is just so much fun, and I love reading about her adventures and how she sees the world. How she struggles understanding new things, how much fun she has learning them.

Also that cover, just look at it and then realise what is about to happen. :D

All in all, I would recommend this manga, if you are looking for a fun, hilarious manga, be sure to check it out.

After watching Yotsuba interact with her grandmother, I am curious to see what her grandfather is like.

As usual, Yotsuba makes the mundane fun. After reading this, I actually felt like cleaning things.... But let's not get carried away. Still, it's good to see how her family harnesses Yotsuba's energy and imagination to get her to do things or make things more fun for her (and possibly for themselves).

It's nice to see the world from Yotsuba's perspective. It's a little infectious, too.

I was very sad when the latest volume of Yotsuba took a long long time to be printed in the US and was thrilled that it finally came out. This did not disappoint. In this volume, Yotsuba deals with souvenirs a great deal. Whether it is doling out rocks to her neighbors, or demanding them for visiting Grandmother, Yotsuba is all about the gifts. This volume was a very fast read but was very fun and lighthearted. I look forward to number 14!

In which Grandma comes to visit. My favorites chapters were: 1) when Grandma arrived and Yotsuba was waiting for her presents; and 2) when Grandma had to say goodbye. I teared up a little bit, I am not ashamed to say... Yotsuba has that ability, to make you cry and to make you laugh.

All her expressions and how she behaves are so cute <3 Now, to wait another year for the complete translation of Vol. 14 :((

Pas nomor ini terbit, sok-sokan nggak beli karena mau nabung gitu. Eh, sekarang udah nggak ada di toko buku. Terus muncullah peri prolis penerbit komik ini yang kasih gue komik ini plus 18 komik lainnya secara gratis! xD

Ceritanya masih memusatkan sama kegiatan Yotsuba yang bocah. Masih lucu. Sudut pandang Yotsuba memang gemesin. Terus suka banget pas bagian Nenek dateng! :D
