About the author

John Eckhardt is overseer of Crusaders Ministries, located in Chicago, Illinois. Gifted with a strong apostolic call, he has ministered throughout the United States and overseas in more than eighty nations. He is a sought-after international conference speaker and has authored more than twenty books, including Identifying and Breaking Curses, Prayers That Rout Demons, Prayers That Break Curses, Prophet, Arise!, and God Still Speaks. He also produces a weekly television program, Perfecting the Saints. Eckhardt resides in the Chicago area with his wife, Wanda.

Reference book. Filled with information to launch you into further discovery about the prophetic, and how it functions within the church body + yourself. It's worth having around in conjunction with other study books. So far, it has not been an earth rattling book for me, but I will continue to reference it.

This can be a good resource for people who have the prophetic gift. However, I think descriptions of the prophetic life border on other giftings and people who function in the Church. the author makes the prophetic office seem like it is the only thing in the Church. He makes the prophet seem like he is all things to all people.

I enjoyed this book and think much of it can be useful for prophets. But it must be taken in balance with the other ministries and gifts given to the Church.

God lead me to read this book when I was trying to understand the visions and dreams I have. This is the key to understanding the prophetic side of ministry, and the heavy anointing that prophets carry. If your called to be a prophet, this is an excellent start.

This is more like a compendium of what prophets have done throughout the bible. Don't come expecting a testimonial experience because is not. It has a lot of research (some are obvious), but nothing of John's experience as a prophet so I felt it needed more.
