Beyond The Gate

Rate this book
In the aftermath of a debilitating accident, horror novelist Clyde Baker rents a house in his hometown of Bridgeton, New York in a rage-filled attempt to isolate himself from any and everyone from his past – his Shadow Life. With only the companionship of his dog, Spock to help maintain his sanity, Clyde is startled by an awkward, elderly man who wanders the unused acreage of the old estate in the foggy hours of the early morning. The mystery that shrouds the Walking Man leads Clyde stumbling into the history of the Sugar Hill Farms Estate, stirring up a series of evil that has long been forgotten. But when the fears of his past – the iconic foundations of his two successful novels – manifest into his world of solitude, Clyde is faced with the choice of overcoming his past or being overtaken by it.

Beyond the Gate is an incredible book. The story is strong and is a great journey. In most books characters are built on their own monologue and that happens here also. But the point of view changes with each chapter and that change helps to build other characters throughout the story. As readers we are rewarded with this growth as the perspective changes between characters. This is storytelling at its best. I urge you to take the journey and enjoy the ride. Thank you Daniel!

Being that I wrote the novel "Beyond The Gate", I would be very biased on my Review. LOL. But I do feel that the readers on this site, or any site for that matter, would enjoy this book. It has a little something for everyone. This novel was recently written about in a Press Relase which states that it was enjoyed by the young as well as the old. (To read the Press Release and my interview, click on this link here to find it.) It is a book for all people because I believe we can all relate -- in one form or another -- to the themes represented inside of this novel.
I challenge you -- read the book and find out for yourself. You won't be disapointed!

Thanks:
