When the River Rises

Her Spirit guide was the river. As Little Snake faces the challenge of marriage to the chief, discovering love and the reality of death, she runs to her spirit guide for solace.
Even a guide can get lost sometimes.
As the river overflows its banks, others take it as a sign.
Only death and fear can come from such a sign.
Little Snake has just turned thirteen moons, and the chief has noticed. The chief wants her for his next wife.
Bill ee, is the young cowboy who has wandered from the path and is now in Indian territory.
A brief encounter brings Little Snake and Bill-ee together; causing a series of events that will change the lives of everyone they know and love.

About the author

I was born and raised in Northern Central Pennsylvania, which is where my latest book, 'When the River Rises' takes place.
When I was fourteen, I wrote my first book, but was so disappointed when it was returned to me, I refused to write anymore.
During my late twenties, I once again tried writing. I wrote a few short stories for children. "Kevin Through the Looking Glass', and 'Connect the Dots', both turned out to be featured in a then highly followed kids magazine.
I have always told my kids and grandkids bedtime stories. Many of them were fairy tales, but with my own twist to them. I also made up some oddball stories when they would throw animals into the mix and ask me to tell them a story with all of them together. One of those happened to involve a tiger and a penguin.
I am now retired and following my dream. I've always wanted to be a writer, and this is where all my life experience, watching my children do their odd things, and watching people in general, I've collected enough info to do just that; follow my dream and hopefully give enjoyment and laughs to whomever chooses to read it.
