Sabrina owns a restaurant after leaving work late one night she gets attacked by 2 men fortunately Anthony hears the assault & comes to her rescue & killing them. He's a retired hitman & seeing the attack he knows there's more to it than a random attack? Can he find out more & why is this girl so important?

This book was given to me as an ARC by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review......I really thought this book was awesome....from the first page I was hooked. This is the story of Sabrina, a strong, independent, restauranteur who unbeknownst to her has become the target of a local mafia boss. Walking home one night she is attacked and is saved from harm by a masked stranger; when she later meets her rescuer, Anthony, there is an immediate attraction but he has a dark past and in order to keep Sabrina safe he finds himself being pulled back into a world which he had managed to escape two years previously. Anthony will do anything to keep Sabrina safe and when he also becomes a target he has to take matters into his own hands and fight back against those who pose a deadly threat to himself and the woman he has developed deep feelings for.
This is an exciting read with a sexy, ex-hitman and a beautiful and strong woman who have both suffered in their past and who, in response to the machinations of a ruthless mafia boss, join together to fight for their future. The secondary characters are also interesting and well written and I would love to know more about Sabrina's best friend Lily....they are BFF and the love and friendship between the two is wonderful.

Hitman confusion

I had higher hopes for this story then what was delivered. Maybe it is because what we see as a society that most hitman are of course mob related and are usually men that dont make themselves obvious, or that they have low show of emotions and so that may have clouded my judgement a bit. Anthony did not seem like a hitman, he showed too much care & concern, he went back to the life that he desperately evaded after 2 years; so that was a lot of ups & downs. Sabrina, seemed way to easy, a pushover, if you will. Midway through though, the story seemed to change, grow stronger & pick up pace. As always, editing would help these stories.

I really enjoyed this book. Sabrina and Anthony met under some very horrible circumstances and Anthony truly became her hero from the beginning until the end!! He was incredible and cared about nothing at all except her safety and, truly based everything on her and only her without much thought to himself or his well being. Sabrina was independent, smart & sweet. Anthony was caring, strong & utterly perfect!!! Together they made a perfect dynamic for the book. I was gifted a copy of this book for a honest review and this is a book I would definitely recommend!!!!

Anthony and Sophia encounter each other when she is attacked walking home from work. He protects her and it brings him back to his past as a hitman. He now has to protect them both from the crime family out to get them.

I like characters that are a little dark. Anthony has quite a past but he really is very protective and loving towards Sophia. Sophia is a tough woman and not looking for a protector. These two really connect and have a great chemistry. It is well-written and keeps you invested in the story.

I loved how this story started off intense and continued the whole way through. Sebrina makes you want to love her by being cool, carm and collected and I want my very own Anthony, a man who would take on the world for his woman. If you want an emotional, unpredicable and oh so sexy book, this is the book for you. Love, love, love the ending!!!

I have to say the story was okay, but this is definitely not my favorite book by this author. However, you couldn't help but like the two main characters. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
