In the spirit of Halloween, I thought it'd be fun to cover the true story behind something scary. Some stories are simply strange, and we don't know the truth. The only thing we do know is what those who lived through the events claim. With that in mind, let's hear the tale of those who were involved and see how it compares to Hollywood's reinterpretation of The Conjuring.
Dan LeFebvre was born in Ohio and has released over 25 online video tutorials on subjects ranging from productivity and development to 3D and VFX. His courses have reached students and professionals around the world through Digital-Tutors, Pluralsight, Skillshare and Udemy. He is currently living in Oklahoma and the host of the popular Based on a True Story podcast.
Not at all what i thought. The author presents facts about the background on the Perron's alleged haunted house. He even compares it to the Amityville house and calls them both out as a hoax. I have read many sources of the Amityville haunting and for him to say it wasn't true is merely his personally opinion.
Obviously the author, holding a degree in nonsense, is chasing the dead. Dead Presidents, that is. It's so sad that said author didn't point his high-powered investigative skills at the actual "haunting". Why didn't he read Andrea Perron's books? They explained the severity of the infestation. Plus the ignorance of the how's and why's of the Catholic Church is appalling. Add to that he was referencing excommunicated priests and priests who were and are at cross purpose of the Holy See. I also find it laughable that anyone on Earth would believe a movie produced in LaLa Land as factual. Glad I read it. Maybe the next attempt at nonfiction will be an easier read.
I have watched the movie and I was very interested in learning more about this story. I just thought that this book was longer and that it would go into more detail.
