5 books5 followersP. Kunjanandan Nair (February 15, 1916 – January 28, 2001), better known by his pseudonym, Thikkodian, was an Indian playwright, novelist, lyricist and screenwriter of Malayalam. He was known for his contributions to the genre of radio plays and his autobiography, Arangu Kaanatha Nadan (The actor who had never been on stage), which detailed the socio-cultural development of Malabar in the post-independent period, fetched him a number of awards including the Kendra Sahithya Academy Award, Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Biography and Autobiography, Vayalar Award and the Odakkuzhal Award.

തിക്കോടിയൻ എന്ന പി. കുഞ്ഞനന്തൻ നായരുടെ ആത്മകഥ. ഈ താളുകളിൽ ടിയാന്റെ വ്യക്തിപരമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ തുലോം കുറവായതിനാൽ ഈ കൃതിയെ ഓർമകുറുപ്പുകൾ എന്ന് വിളിക്കുകയാകും ഉചിതം.
മലബാറിന്റെ ഒരു കാലഘട്ടത്തെ ഇവിടെ അടയാളപെടുത്തുന്നു.
തന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ പരിചയപ്പെട്ടതും അടുത്തറിഞ്ഞതുമായ നിരവധി എഴുതുക്കാരേയും കലക്കാരന്മാരെയും ഇതിൽ വരച്ചിടുന്നുണ്ട്. മലയാള നാടകത്തിന് ബ്രിഹത്തായ സംഭാവനകൾ ചെയ്ത വ്യക്തിത്വങ്ങളെ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

A very unique autobiography? in which the author becomes part of background and watches all other people and incidents happening around him and now telling them to make the reader feel how lucky Thikkodian to live among those giants and share so many unforgettable moments.
Many autobiographies are full of "I" and in this we find it so hard to find the author.
It's a great read for everyone especially those who are interested in the life and times of those bygone years.

Really enjoyed reading this biography. Travelled with Shri. Thikkodiyan in and around Malabar region of pre & post independence period. Language is simple complimented with good humor. Have mentions about different notable personalities with whom Thikkodiyan had interactions. Captivating book, no doubt.
