Jade keeps the gritty mythology she started with Frost Dragon in this second story. Zach and Amber are an adorable couple, and the thrills and mystery of the arc story kept me turning the pages.

Just O.K.
Zeke and Amber's story was not as good as book one. There were also several errors, where the wrong names were used. I wanted to rate this story higher, but I could not. It also ended too abruptly for my taste. There was only one intimate scene.
Zeke is the Fire Dragon shifter who is still in training. He happens upon an unconscious form who seems to be disoriented. She is a beautiful woman, a human woman.
Amber, has just been taken after making a discovery about a pipeline project. A project that she knows well...but someone has made some severe modifications with its location into Cadia, shifter territory. It was planned to go around, not within the territory. Now she knows she is in danger.

Amber was at the job site base doing an inspection, one where she wasn’t supposed to be but the regular guy fell ill. Since she’s one of the engineers who designed the pipeline that is suppose to skirt, never cross, the border of Cadia when she sees something not right on a map of the pipeline in the sleazy manager’s office… she starts asking questions, the wrong questions. When she, her escort, the manager and helicopter pilot take an impromptu flight to the work sight, her suspicion are confirmed although she’s trying to stay cool and not let on. Unfortunately, the next thing Amber remembers is waking up alone, in the middle of the forest, probably in Cadia territory and left for dead.
Zeke and his friends and fellow cadets Asher and Dom are doing an actual border patrol with instructions to keep a sharp eye out and assist the Guardians or deal with any issues on their own if they must. Quite an assignment, and each are eager to do their best on a prelude to what their future holds as Guardians. Zeke’s sharp eyes spot Amber in the forest and heads her way to deal with what appears to be a human in Cadia territory. When he hears her story of kidnapping, the changed blueprints and the pipeline where it obviously shouldn’t be, Zeke decides to deliver her to Guardian Headquarters to let those in authority deal with the problem. It won’t be long before Zeke and Amber discover just how important this problem will become, and how far reaching on both sides of the border.
Fire Dragon brings all of the characters from Frost Dragon together again and the overlying story deepens as we begin to see more of the dangers facing Cadia from within. Zeke and Amber have a connection almost from the beginning. However, she cannot stay in Cadia, and other plots are spinning around her. When Zeke is given the assignment to return her to her company’s base camp… well, the real fast paced action of this story begins to take off. Intense, gripping and seductive – this is a story that you need to experience first hand as to go much deeper would be giving away spoilers.
I liked Amber from the start. She’s tough, smart and a straight talker. She knows there’s more going on and she is brave enough to face what the future holds with Zeke… if they survive. Zeke is a charming, honorable man and his protectiveness over Amber is obvious from the start. He will do what is necessary to save his mate.
The action and the romance heats up in this second story of the Top Scale Academy. I would definitely recommend this story and this series to any Shifter Romance reader. A good, solid story, likable characters and an underlying tension that practically leaps off the page. Yeah, this is a series to follow from this one and beyond to the next connecting series as well.

Fantastic,
I finished Frost Dragon a few hours ago, now I've finished Fire Dragon. Amelia Jade is one fine story writer. Full of excitement, action, adventure, love, trust and even some fun times. Absolutely fantastic reading.

This new series is awesome, exciting, and very entertaining. I loved the characters, they made a really sweet pair and had great chemistry. The cadets were interesting and I loved the relationship they had with each other. It was a fun and enjoyable read!

Ezequiel "Zeke" Hawthorn fire dragon cadet at Top Scale Academy and the other cadets are sent out to help investigate a Cadia border breach.
Amber Klose, engineer, finds serious deviation in the blue prints of her companies on-going pipeline. It is supposed to skate the border of Cadia, but appears to go straight into it.
The same shifters that attacked Asher's new mate Quinn, the gryphons, are up to serious no good. Amber is caught in the middle of a bigger scheme and Zeke just knows he must protect her.
I'm loving this new series and how the cadets reach, as yet, unattainable skills with their dragons. These are some strong women too. The camaraderie between the cadets and the women is so fun to read. I can't wait for Dom's story and it sure is gonna be fun if his mate is who I think!

Loved it
I really think I'm going to like this series. ... I love all of her stories but Jade crew remained the front runner on my list. This series is quickly catching up though.
Zeke is a great character and very easy to like.. He is awkward as a dragon and a very sweet man.
Amber is strong and smart and is the perfect mate for Zeke
Together they are amazing and do not deny the connection. I've really come to hate that about shifter book. Usually one is denying that they have a mate a million misunderstandings ensue then all of a sudden we have a happy ever after. This book has none of the things that have become so ridiculously prevalent in most shifter book, that makes me love this book that much more.
I can not wait for doms stories now

I really liked this second book in this series far more then the first for some reason.
This story takes off from the start and does not let you go.
In book two we are getting Zeke the fire dragons story and boy what an interesting story he and Amber have to tell.
The Gryphons are up to no good and Amber, who is working for the pipeline company is caught up in the middle of it. With the help of Zeke, Asher, Quinn and Dominic they have to unravel what the Gryphons are up to and stop them before chaos ensues.
Cannot wait for the next book and Dominic’s story.
This is my honest review for this book.

AH! Ms Jade, you have done it again! !! Another rip roaring, seat of your pants drama, wrapped up in a very romantic love story.
This is the 26th book I have throughly enjoyed by this writer. Yes, they are all shifter genre, but each has a unique story line, with a romance happening as well. It is a great combination, giving thrills in both the amorous encounters of the main characters, with gut wrenching drama to boot. Yes, each book is stand alone, but each series has a background story occurring, that makes an even more impressive read.
The blurb will give you the story outline, all I can say, it is an engaging read.

Amber works for IPP, who is building a pipeline around Cadiz. When Amber goes to the construction site she finds they have rerouted the pipeline into Cadia and she is hit on the head and dropped far into Cadia territory. Zeneca and his friends are on a training mission when they discover her. Zeke takes her to the council so she can explain what she's doing in Cadia. They listen and deport her back to Cloud Lake. The story does not in there however. This is an excellent book full of drama, battles, and hot steamy scenes. Great book.

I am an ARC Reader and I love everything I have ever read by Amelia Jade. This book is about two people Amber and Zeke. Amber is a human who is kidnapped and Zeke is the dragon who find and protects her. Zeke will risk everything to protect her including his own life. I will Recommend this book to everyone. It is full of action, Adventure, and love. An amazing read and something you won't be able to put down.

This was a good addition to the series, and kept me entertained until the end. I loved both Zeke and Amber, they were both awesome in their own ways. They were also perfect mates for each other. I enjoyed watching them grow closer and fall in love, all while dealing with everything thrown at them. I was happy to see them get their HEA. I was gifted a copy.
