She is a Japanese manga artist known for creating The Magic Touch and Oresama Teacher which have both been serialized on the Hana to Yume magazine.
Tsubaki began drawing manga in her first year of high school. She was soon selected to be in the top 10 of Hana to Yume Mangaka Course, and subsequently won the Big Challenge contest.

Again, this has been an entertaining manga volume - this series never fails to make me laugh. The true highlight was the sleepovers happening at Seo's and Nozaki's, mostly because it subverts cliche expectations. The boys spend the night discussing plots of a dating game, while the girls play a fight game and end up discussing men's underwear - the reactions of Seo's older brother and Hori-senpai to both of these, respectively, was gold! Another big development was Seo finding out about Wakamatsu's Lorelai crush, which leads to her playing pranks on the poor fellow! Those pranks were hilarious, though, with how his friends kept finding him in inventive tableau (which were to protect him much like a traffic cone but also be highkey dramatic about it). Romantic developments also arise for Hori, as someone points out to him that Kashima could be his ideal face for a woman, too.
In other minor chapters, Wakamatsu reminiscing about the otome game calls back to an earlier chapter. The Drama Club once again steps into the spotlight with their ad-lib exercises being both hilarious and shocking when it involves Umetarou and Chiyo, as they are once again shopping for inspiration for storylines. I am genuinely worried for his 'Let's Love' fans because boy doesn't even have a consistent storyline! How is he a manga artist?! Actually, the manga even nudges the fourth wall with this very question. Umetarou, however, continues to be oblivious about Chiyo's feelings for him, as their friends keep getting bolder in enabling her, with her brother even getting her pictures (to be fair, he thought Umetarou was a model). To be fair, she is a disaster, too, when she uses a 'study session' in not quite the way it was intended by Mikoshiba.
In short, I never want this fun to end. This is a delightful cast of characters with some truly good comedy storylines.

Though each of the basic plots in Volume 9 are a lot of fun, the two competing sleepovers might be the most fun of all. The boys are staying at Nozaki’s place and play dating sims together; the girls, meanwhile, are staying at Seo’s–and since Kashima’s never had a sleepover or a girls’ night, Seo and Chiyo are determined to make it memorable. Which they do… though maybe not the way that shojo manga-obsessed Nozaki probably expected.

Ahhhh I really loved the romance development of this volume!!!!! I think my favourite pairing is Kashima and Hori so I THRIVED in this volume I had so much fun but also just !!!!!!!! heart emojis all over these two. I also loved the parts with Nozaki and Sakura! They were so cute and I love seeing Nozaki starting to have his feelings changing... all too good!

How is this series so good??? Why is Mikoshiba still my favorite????? I LOVE THESE DINGUSES!!!! This manga is so solid, and I laugh after every page. I'm one volume away from the end and I'm already sad rkshejah please give me more Seo and Wakamatsu!!

Another laugh out loud funny volume. Loved the slumber parties and Seo w/Waka. I really dig how consistent this series is. You'd think it'd start getting old, but each book is solid.

Masalah terbesar dari komik ini tuh: kesalahpahamanan dan ketidakpekaan #imo #namanyajugakomikkomedi (^○^). Yang satu bilang ini, terus dibayangin beda sama yang satunya. Mana Nozaki saking nggak pekanya, disaat yang lain udah sadar Chiyo suka sama dia, ehh dianya malah baru deg-degan doang wahahaha (￣∇￣).
Bikin ngakak pas Nozaki coba buat cerita dewasa, 'perekonomian Jepang, terpusat di sini!' XD. Sama yang dirutnya ngangkat telpon, terus diprotes customer *perusahaannya cuma punya sedikit pegawai mungkin hahaha*. Bagian Kak Hori bersemu merah karena baru sadar kalau wajah Kashima tipe idealnya (≧▽≦). Bagian adeknya Chiyo juga, mirip sama kakaknya XD.

Upping my rating to 5 stars! I really enjoyed all the chapters in this volume. Maybe I was just in the right mood, but I found this volume super funny. Not quite sure why I didn't love it the first time I read it.

Not as amazing as the last volume, but still good. None of the chapters were bad, they just weren't as funny as they could have been. The episodes where Kashima dresses up like a girl and the one where we meet Sakura's brother were up to par with the rest of the series though. So was the one where Waka kept falling asleep! So, overall, this was a really solid volume, it just wasn't as solid as some of the other volumes.

How can be possible that this manga gets even better over the new volumes? I get more and more excited about what's gonna happen.
Oh, wow, realmente me encanta como con el paso de los capítulos cada parejita se va acercando (a su manera), en especial Nozaki y Chiyo. Además, me he encariñado mucho con todos, cada personaje tiene su esencia, tiene sus propias bromas y se dirigen a situaciones muy únicas.
Destaco en este volumen lo siguiente:
- Cuando simulan una cita de Suzuki y Mamiko entre ellos.
- Seo descubre la debilidad de Waka, y se aprovecha de eso.
- El hermano menor de Chiyo, Towa. ¿Cómo es que este chico aparece y hace uno de los mejores capítulos? Es super divertido.
- Nozaki ayuda en el Art Club a cambio de historias de amor.
- Hori y Kashima estan muy muy cerquita.
- Waka tiene el apoyo de Chiyo para emparejarse con la Lorelei, pero Nozaki le impide a ella que revele su identidad.
Me encanta todo lo que pasó en este volumen, es uno de los que más me ha hecho reír y emocionar. En especial porque ya es evidente que Nozaki nota y tiene interés en Chiyo pero es que no alcanza a llegar a sus sentimientos. Siempre queda en un ya casi... por poco! Y Chiyo está en un punto donde ya no sabe como confesarse y más pistas no puede dejar, es demasiado evidente.
En fin, ya me falta poco para acabar este manga y la experiencia ha sido muy buena. Cada vez me gusta más.

I have mixed feelings with this volume, I liked it and at the same time I did not like it very much.
What I like is that SPOILER finally Hori-senpai begins to accept his feelings towards Kashima and all the confusion that causes him seems very tender, Nozaki-kun feels a slight palpitation towards Sakura for a determined and hilarious situation that happened but this demonstrates a big step Izumi Tsubaki? S-P-O-I-L-E-R.
What I don't like are still the parts of Nozaki-kun's manga because this volume shows the problematic relationship between the protagonists Suzuki and Mamiko, and I hope that these parts are like a parody of the vast majority of shōjo manga.
Tengo sentimientos encontrados con este volumen, me gusto y a la vez no me gusto mucho.
Lo que me gusto es que S-P-O-I-L-E-R por fin Hori-senpai comienza a aceptar sus sentimientos hacia Kashima y toda la confusión que le causa me parece muy tierno, Nozaki-kun siente una leve palpitación hacia Sakura por una determinada e hilarante situación que ocurrió pero esto demuestra un gran paso Izumi Tsubaki? Dziewiąta część komediowo-romantycznej serii skupia uwagę czytelnika na dwóch najważniejszych wątkach. Jeden z nich dotyczy szkolnego klubu teatralnego, których członków uwielbia wykorzystywać Nozaki do „testowania” swoich nowych (często szalonych) pomysłów na scenariusz mangi. Treść ta jest dosyć zabawna i rzucająca kolejny raz troszkę więcej światła na relacje uczuciowe niektórych bohaterów. Bezsprzecznie jednak na pierwszy plan komiksu wysuwa się wątek męskiego i żeńskiego wieczoru. Chłopaki zostają u Nozakiego i czas wolny poświęcają na ogrywanie kolejnego symulatora randek. Podejmowane w cyfrowym świecie decyzje muszą oczywiście prowadzić do szeregu nieporozumień i gagów. W tym samym czasie Seo i Chiyo starają się, aby „babski” wieczór był dla Kashimy czymś niezapomnianym (szczególnie że jest to dla niej pierwsze tego typu spotkanie). W obu przypadkach nie będzie brakować szeregu zabawnych dialogów, które w mniejszym lub większym stopniu będą dotyczyć oczywiście miłości.
Dla fanów serii autorka przygotowała tutaj również coś specjalnego. W tomiku pojawia się bowiem dodatkowy rozdział, w którym poznajemy brata Sakury. Dla chłopaka jest to pierwszy występ w serii, ale ma on potencjał do tego, aby na dłużej tutaj zagościć i zjednać sobie liczne grono sympatyków.

Boy, this was filled with fan-service but I didn’t care one bit! Nozaki realizing he’s Sakura’s type and stripping his clothes off?! Hori realizing he also likes Kashima’s face as a girl? Seo singing to Waka only for him to fall asleep in the most random places? Top shit, I say.
We also meet Sakura’s younger brother who thinks Nozaki is a model, lol. And Mayu being gorgeous as always. Waka used to play otome games, lol and Mikorin showed him an eroge (?).
You know this manga is soooo random, yet it makes sense and it never fails to make me have a good time!

Some brief thoughts on volume 9:
Bi/pan Mayu-kun, arise!!! And you’ve gotta love a gaming chapter.
Yooooo! Finally some relationship development between Seo and Wakamatsu! Seo knowing she can put Wakamatsu to sleep is actually a big step. If she can recognize the significance of her voice being soothing to him, etc.

Nozaki… why does the pumpkin getting bigger get you excited…?
“Is it okay for him the be a shoujo manga artist?” For real, I ask myself that every chapter. Nozaki is a very peculiar person.

Okay but I would actually like to read a manga chapter with all the author’s notes inserted lol.
Nozaki always ends up writing queer stories, huh? But those poor inadvertent victims of Nozaki’s imagination. Their grades will suffer… Also Sakura and Nozaki switching neckties was cute.

Menurutku, di volume ini banyak banget cerita-cerita ikonis. Pertama, trio cewek salah memaknai saran Nozaki dalam sleepover ala cewek normal, tetapi masalahnya pemikiran mereka ini enggak normal. Kedua, anak-anak klub drama latihan improvisasi ketika bertemu satu sama lain. Ketiga, Seo mengetahui rahasia Waka soal hobi pingsannya setiap mendengar suara Lorelei. Keempat, Hori mendandani Kashima, dan ... KYAAA KEMAJUANKAH INI???
Yang bagian Nozaki disuruh coba membuat ide tentang percintaan di perkantoran, aku agak bosan, tetapi quotes "perekonomian Jepang terpusat di sini" itu membuatku sampai terkekeh banget. Inilah yang terjadi ketika para remaja yang masih berpengetahuan terbatas mencoba membuat kisah yang latarnya belum pernah mereka lalui.
Yang bagian Nozaki disuruh coba membuat ide tentang percintaan di perkantoran, aku agak bosan, tetapi quotes "perekonomian Jepang terpusat di sini" itu membuatku sampai terkekeh banget. Butuh beberapa saat selesaika baca manga ini karena cerita di tengah-tengahnya agak bikin bosen, padahal di bab awal cukup seru liat interaksi Chiyo, Mikoshima sama Nozaki. Chapter anak cewe yang kumpul nginep bareng lucu banget.
Akhirnya juga setelah sekian volume, dibuat diagram hubungan antartokoh. Ternyata tokohnya makin banyak dan di volume ini aku makin inget nama-nama tokohnya. Setelah baca volume 9 ini, baru nyadar juga kalo setiap chapternya punya cerita lepas antartokoh yang saling nyambung. Chart yang muncul di halaman akhir-akhir buat peringatan 5 tahun serialisasi maupun bab tambahannya juga seru dengan kemunculan adiknya Chiyo. Kocak banget liat interaksinya dia sama Nozaki.

Another fun volume. Even though this is more a slice of life, there’s constantly some development—except in Sakura’s relationship with Nozaki. Seo realises that Lorelai’s—her—voice makes Wakamatsu sleep and pranks him mercilessly with it. There’s some fun antics with the drama club, and the girls have a stay-over that doesn’t quite go as the boys expect, mostly because they have very poor instructions and literal minds.
