Actual rating: 4.5 stars.
Another great issues, but there were moments that felt as though a scene or two had been cut that shouldn't have been, or an extra scene should have been added for clarity.

When an elder dies, they become part of the Cemetorium, a repository of mental energy, of memories. The Coemetorium uses passive plasma feeds to halt neuron decay. Elders' minds are preserved just as they were at the moment of their death. They are not alive, but they can relay all information and memories they hold through rough speech simulation. Every Elder has been preserved...until now.
While I patiently wait for the next issues of Canary (Comixology Originals) #1 and Book of Evil (Comixology Originals) #1, I thought I would turn to a limited series I have had sitting on my Kindle for far too long.
This is not a series for those with a mind towards conspiracies. Hidden families rule everything we do, have advanced alien technology, and plot against each other with no regard for the cost of human life.
However, there is an old prophecy. Dismissed by the newer generations of the families but still held close by the Elders and the Priests, when an attack occurs against one of the families, it seems there is some truth to the tales.
With the families in panic, the elders and priests gather in neutral territory. With the blaming and incriminations in full swing, they soon find themselves under attack once again from the mysterious enemy.
With the truth of the Nine out in the world, protests and uprisings are gathering pace. The little grey men, with their telepathic ability to scrub memories, are struggling to keep pace with the spread of information around the world.
Meanwhile the Mars family are in disarray after Hum's attack on their Elder. Without a named heir there is a contest for power which could shape the future of mankind.
Very busy and rushed, and I fear the series may not actually finish. 3 stars.

Good color artwork,dark horse freebie. Mars family reorganizes. Ordinary citizens take up arms. Graham and bela sort of unite. Almost time for a showdown with chronos.
