I'm a super huge fan of language books that are written by actual speakers of that language (I mean their mother tongue is whatever language, not professors of that language, because let's face it, when they're just written by foreign scholars of said language you're taking a huge chance, because they may very well be wrong. Maybe they didn't fully master something about the language themselves and they may not even know it.). On that note, I almost always buy books either from the country's universities in the language I'm studying, or buy books written by natives of that language. All it usually takes is an email to the university in that country, and you'd be surprised how much they'll help you free of charge.

That being said, this title is an excellent resource. However, there are a few typographical errors in the English parts, but if you already speak English, then that isn't a concern for you. This title breaks the grammar down into bite-size bits, and even offers samples so you can see the grammar in action while you are learning it while he blends it in with conversational Russian.

I highly recommend this title. Also, though this review is attached to the 'kindle version' of this title, I have the actual paperback edition, but for some reason, Goodreads doesn't have the paperback version on their site.
