PHILOSOPHY

Rate this book
This is a book for thinkers. It is a book that consists of psychogenic-spiritual-growth. It teaches how learning-and-living are religion itself. It reveals to us the many realities of illusion-and-truth. And of suffering-and-salvation, and opens our eyes to the sad fact of never attaining the perfection that we seek. It is a message that confounds us all and sanctifies our desperate plea for self-renunciation.

Philosophy is a book written in what appears to be a stream of conscious but the subject manner is hard to determine.  There are also some poems at the end of the book that use words we generally associate with philosophy and religion including love, hate, and freedom.  Beyond that I’m afraid I’m not clear on what the meaning or subject manner of the book centers on and I’m afraid I didn’t learn very much from it.

For starters the writing is poor and grammatically a disaster.  It was hard to read and at times even comprehend the sentences that were written; sometimes because they ran on and times because what should have been one sentence was written in sentence fragments with arbitrary punctuation.  Trying to solve the puzzle of what I just read made it hard to concentrate on whatever message the author was trying to convey.

Most of the works of philosophy that I have read describe some type of theory and I believe the author was trying hard to convey one hear; especially as they apologized at every turn for possibly alarming the reader.  I believe the author was very passionate about their subject matter although I’m not clear on what that subject was.  There is no theory involved in this work and no proof to describe any other theory.  It was unfortunately like reading a work written by a schizophrenic person.

While I’m afraid there isn’t much good in this book, I believe the author believes in their message and I would urge them to work on their writing skills and do an outline on what they are trying to convey to their reader so the reader isn’t guessing at their subject manner.  It’s hard to have the courage to writing and put your writing out their for others and while I believe this attempt was a fail I am giving it a two star for the enthusiasm of the author.  I wish you success in your future endeavors.

Disappointment

This short book, to put it simply, is a book about one mans thoughts. This one man has written a few pages on what he believes is the meaning of good and evil and why it is in the world. Now, I am not a big fan at all of his work. Most of the time I trying to figure out what he is saying. And by the time I figure it out, he begins a new rant on something completely different. He does put in an introduction telling readers that we may not understand him. However, I still believe the author could have made his tellings a little more explanatory. Based on this authors writings alone, I do not believe I would have even liked this man. Some of the words he chooses indicates that he believes himself more knowledgeable than most ordinary people. He insist that he is sorry about his knowledge and that he feels he must enlighten people of his findings so that we may be more knowledgeable. I would not reccomend this book to anyone.

This is a very quick and easy yet complex read. It was very enlightening. It's definitely the type of book that really gets your brain going. If you decide to read this book, be prepared to become uncomfortable. It will make you think! In a society where following is the norm, this book will actually make you think. I believe it is for thinkers. In 'Philosophy', Rahmel Garner is trying to give his readers a new outlook on life. Garner is attempting to have the reader answer some deep questions about themselves such as who a person is, what they are, what their purpose is, and so much more. The focus here isn't on understanding society or a higher power but understanding one's self. The author does a fantastic job of presenting a better way to look at yourself. This book makes you look at your inner self. It is designed to make readers think about themselves honestly. This book makes the reader ask, Who Am I What makes me me? This book made me evaluate my presence on earth and discover who I am. This book tells you basically it is us that makes our own happiness and our own sadness. It's us that is responsible for it also, no one else can be responsible for it! And that we are our own evil!

This is a very quick and easy yet complex read. It was very enlightening. It's definitely the type of book that really gets your brain going. I especially loved the poetic parts. I read most of it out loud to my dogs. They didn't really appreciate that.

Other than a few little typos, there really wasn't anything wrong with this book. It could use a little polish, but most books out there can. It doesn't matter how many times a book is gone through. Mistakes will always be found.

I really loved the author's witty references and way of speaking. It was humorous and entertaining. It was also educational and inspiring. I fully recommend this peace. I was blown away by how amazing it was to read. It definitely exceeded my expectations of it for sure.

This book has you thinking about how everybody has free will. We have the choice to be good and evil. Some people choose to do evil things because they let the demons within them take over their life. People are not born evil, but things within their environment can make them do evil things. This is a must read in my opinion. I brings great thought to different things people do. I received this book free for my honest review.

Very honest, and pure.

Philosophy is a work highly informative of our many psychological challenges. Great theological insight in it's form of literature. Good concepts that are very tricky to grasp.

Who are you? What are you? What defines you? And what is your ultimate destiny? These are questions explored in this surprisingly thought-provoking book, Philosophy by Rahmel Garner. The author reminded me of the writings of the Jesuit Priest and thinker, Anthony de Mello, only that the style varies. This is one of the good reflections that will open the eyes of readers to the reality of the self. The book is designed to help readers put aside their conditioning and look at themselves honestly, and perhaps its here the real work on self begins, the unhinged self, the self that is capable of making decisions and steering itself towards consciousness.

In the beginning, the author states: I've come to realize that not all things are a simple matter of what is right and wrong. Thus begins a reflection that will examine the self, vacillating between the concepts of good and bad, right and wrong, questing for ultimate freedom. This is the kind of book that will provoke readers to rethink what they think and believe about themselves. Id have given this book a 5-Star rating but for the fact that the writing hasn't been well polished. Some of the writing needs editing. There are many fragments of sentences. The beginning two statements should have been a single sentence. There are awkward phrases that make the read not so smooth for readers who care about grammar and semantics. Overall, it was a good read.

Rahmel Garner gives a different look at your inner self and makes you think about your existence in an extremely new way. Philosophy is not one of those books you‘ll read and forget about it at the very next day. It may turn your thinking upside down showing you that we humans are evil by nature. It’s our own choice to fight it or just leave it as it is. This book is difficult. I’ll probably make a second round after a while just to give myself enough time to think about it. Would I recommend it? Probably I won’t recommend it to everyone. The reader must be prepared about what is coming on his way.
There’s no specific story here. It’s more like a conversation or a discussion. Author’s language is a bit rough and even offensive but sometimes that’s the proper way to say things straight.
The editing needs a little more work to make the text even more understandable for the readers. It’s definitely an interesting point of view and it’s good to be represented in a comprehensible manner.
