HE CAN BUY ANYTHING EXCEPT A SECOND CHANCE WITH ME...

KARA

Once, when I was young and stupid, I had that boy. The charmer, the Adonis, the one who torched every woman's panties in our small town. He was my brother's best friend, practically part of the family. When he proposed, he promised me forever.

Then the bastard disappeared without a word.

It's taken five years to get over Ryan. I drowned myself crying a thousand times over. I moved on.

I'm finally remembering what it's like to smile when guess who shows up. Everything about him is different. For one, he's become a freakin' billionaire. He walks like he's Mr. Tall, Dark, and Alpha incarnate. I know there's no justice in the world because his body matches his huge ego.

Worse, he wants me to play Cinderella again. I can't. I won't.

I don't believe in second chances. I'll never forget what he did.

And if he's stupid enough to try kissing me with those unforgettable lips, he's going to feel my teeth.

RYAN

I did a terrible thing. No, I'm not talking about the filthy secret that wrecked everything.

Leaving Kara killed me. I didn't have a choice. No amount of money, success, or bedding any woman I want whenever I flash my patented smirk makes up for losing her.

She was the one. Hell, she still is.

Time to remind her why. Whatever it takes to put my ring on her hand for good.

I'm ready for the curses, the screams, the burn of her palm against my cheek. I'll taste her lips again, even if she bites.

Just one catch – she can't find out what happened the night I left. There are no second chances if my past ruins us.

This is a standalone romance novel brimming with temptation, tears, and alpha male explosions. High heat, no chill, and Happy Endings galore!

That was quick...hero left and guess what.... he's "now a man and can fuck any woman he wants"

No desire to read anything more about a "hero" who leaves the "love of his life" and fucks any woman he wants because "a mans needs can only be put off for so long..."

Nope nope nope

I have to admit, this one was hard for me to rate. I loved the beginning, hated the middle, but then loved the ending.

The beginning of this story where we got to see young love blossom between Ryan and Kara was beautiful. I loved them as teenagers and I was having a hard time putting my kindle down to leave for work. When I picked this back up and we got to where Ryan had to mysteriously leave town and out of Kara's life, I didn't worry too much. I know the author would not leaving us hanging for too long.

Then we meet Reginald. The book fast forwarded several years to see that Kara moved on and was now with Reginald. Oh how I hated Reg! Not only did I hate him, but I hated Kara with Reg. I did not like how she became a doormat to him. I seriously wanted to give her a big kick in the rear for letting him pull the wool over her eyes when there were blaring red flags telling her all was not as it seemed.

Now for the last half of the book, thankfully Ryan came back to make things right with Kara. In my opinion, he got off too easy with her but then it also wasn't his fault for everything that happened, so I forgive him.

If you can't tell by now, Nicole Snow did a very good job of pulling out a lot of emotion from me in this book. I didn't love it, but the parts I hated, I know where intentional from the author.

Another stupid and naive "heroine." This chick was too "drained" and tired to take a quick freaking look at the evidence, that was hand delivered to her on a silver platter, of her fiancé's cheating. And to top off that sundae with a cherry, she accidentally leaves the evidence of this betrayal lying around the house (on the kitchen counter) where the, said cheating fiancé, can oh so easily find it. Give me a break. This is not an accurate portrayal of events. I've never heard of any woman who finds out that her significant other is cheating on her and is just like "oh I'm just so tired I think I'll take and bath, fluff my pillows, go to bed, then in the morning after I've had a solid 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep I'll go ahead and take a looksie at those pictures, videos, etc..." Like WTF, I'm sorry I must have missed the memo where women are supposed to be dumb and helpless in books now.

This book keeps appearing in my Facebook time line and it's being recommended to me so I decided to read reviews and investigate if it's worth. I have read books from this author before and I liked but the reviews here are not good. For what I gather the author didn't give much thought to the execution. It seems horrible. So.. not touching it. There are plenty of 1, 2 stars reviews to back up my decision. And again, the question that never ends: why do female authors write her heroines as stupid brainless doormats? FYI, women know better and we do know right from wrong and we can form coherent thoughts and we're not naive and we don't always believe in small town gossip. That's offensive writing women like that. We are able to form our opinions without believing everything they feed us.

Oh Nicole Snow! What do you do to me every time? This is one killer story,,,and one I had to grab tissues for as well. The male lead in this story is pure alpha to the core and the heroine is one sassy thing who doesn’t take kindly to the games that were played. Which is what I loved about this story- they had a past, they have a present , the conflict, the angst. Ryan and Kara used to be a couple, in love and were planning a future together. Kara goes off to college while Ryan continues working at her father garage, planning their future. Until …Ryan makes a terrible mistake and ups and disappears. Kara is devastated over the loss and really never recovers. Years later, Ryan becomes this wickedly successful and rich businessman who is determined to get the girl back, his girl Kara; only problem is, how does one go back and prove he is sincere, how does he get the girl to forgive and then move on and forgive after the ultimate and total heartbreak? Well Ryan doesn’t plan to give up, he is going to get Kara to listen, to see how sincere he is and get his woman back. Only thing is, he cant tell her why he did what he did. There is a secret here , one that cannot be spoken so he is working on getting her back without being able to tell her why he left. Now Kara, oh my, she was so angry and there is this hatred in her heart at why he left her the way he did. It isn’t going to be easy on him getting back in her life and in her heart, that’s for sure. I almost feel sorry for him but then when I think about the pain Kara went thru, I don’t want him to have it easy.
This is a 2nd chance love story about two people who do belong together and the road back to each other. This book is filled with such emotion, with angst, desire, anger, passion….You will experience the feelings of the characters and even the supporting cast of characters as well. I really loved how the author was able to get me, the reader, in the space of the MC and supporting cast for I felt as if I was right there in the story and that was fantastic. I rooted for both MC and hoped that they finally got the HEA that they were due for. The plot of this story was on target and the story flowed perfectly-no slow points. This is a beautiful love story which Ms. Snow wrote to capture your heart as it did mine.

My rating: 4.5 stars ****

I didn't care for it. I'm already not big on second chances especially when they move on sexually. I know some might disagree but if you claim to love someone you don't sleep with others. I guess I think about my marriage and if I were to get ill and unable to be intimate with my spouse would he go out and be physical with another woman until I got better. Maybe it's not normal but these are things I think of when reading. I can't separate sex and love. Plus maybe I read incorrectly but his business worker Leonard hooked up with a lady he passed on. Later in the story Leonard was talking about drinking and I was under the impression he had a wife and kids since he referrenced staying up nights with a kid. Unless you're married dads usually don't stay up with the kids. If that's the case why was he helping condone cheating. Kara slept with him entirely too soon. She wanted the truth but slept with him hours after splitting up with Rex without getting the truth from Ryan. Plus why was her mom such a bitch towards Ryan when she knew he truth.

I was given an advanced copy for an honest review.
The story sounded promising so I was excited when I received my copy. Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. It was choppy and I found it hard to stay connected to the characters. At one point the hero told the heroine's fiancée that he needed to sign the divorce papers so the heroine wouldn't have to see him in court. The issue I have with this is they weren't married so no divorce was needed. I am guessing the author meant to take that part out. The other issue is that the hero's best friend automatically wrote the hero off. How can you be that close to someone and the next day say you knew how he grew up so he committed the crime no questions asked.
The was a HEA but by the time I got to that part I just wanted the book to be done.

I really liked Ryan, he knew just what to say to get his woman in a better mood, “eff him, and eff everything he did, too, baby girl. You can tell me all about your ink after you're done coming, dripping my seed.” I liked this book, Ryan was quite the persistent man.

I really did not like this book at all. I thought it was completely unrealistic and just awful. I mean this girl goes years thinking horrible things about this guy, her and her family hating him, but as soon as he pops up she defends him over her family and loves him again just because he's hotter!? I hate when they make women overly dependent in books and just willing to forget anything because the guy is hot; it's pathetic. She believes he's a murderer and blames him for her families business failing yet she's willingly allowing him back into her life? she didn't even last a couple days without going off to secretly meet him and letting him in, even though she denies doing so. I usually do not rate books so low and love a good romance but no this is just too much.

Nicole Snow has another awesome read to add to her already impressive writing resume.
Kara thought Ryan committed this hanous crime and just up and disappeared.
Little did she know there was something more sinister going down.
I thought it was truly awful how Matt just turned on his best friend.
I laughed my butt off with how they got Reg to back off.
Steam factor 10 stars.

Ryan and Kara share a past. They used to be a couple, in love and inseparable, when Ryan worked at her father's garage.

Kara goes off to college and Ryan plans their future....until Ryan makes one fatal mistake and then he's gone. Ryan disappeared and Kara is heartbroken. Years later, Ryan becomes successful in his chosen field, and Kara, she's moved on also, but not for the better. She's still broken and lonely. Kara has to leave the past behind and move on. And she does. What she doesn't expect is to come face to face with Ryan again. Kara does not welcome Ryan home; in fact, she's not happy to see him at all. Ryan just wants a chance to explain himself, but Kara doesn't want to relive that heartbreak ever again. Kara's moved on. Ryan is willing to fight for her. He knows the path her life has taken will only bring more heartache. He also knows he needs to come clean about what happened on the night he disappeared. Nicole Snow shows that she is an author who knows what to do to keep her readers interested in her books. She grabs your interest at the beginning of the book and she keeps it till the very end. Perfect second chance romance. Kara and Ryan meet she is 14 and hes working in her fathers auto shop. After a tricky first meeting, we go through 2 years where they stay away from each other and seem to antagonize each other. After dating when she turns 16 and becoming engaged when she turns 18, Ryan disappears one night and Kara crumbles in depression and is heartbroken. Five years after Ryan disappears, he decides its time to come back for Kara and finds her engaged to a man whom he proves isn't who he says he is. After Ryan explains why he had to disappear, Kara and he start off where they left off and decide to prove he didn't do what he is accused of. In the end they prove him innocent and manage to help authorities take down a large crime ring.

I really did like this story. I'm a sucker for second chance love and this was the perfect one for me. It had the right amount of love, suspense, and problem solving. Loved the fact that there weren't any questions left in my mind on what happened to the characters involved. Would love a story to see Matt get his happily ever after! Can't wait to read more of this author's work!

Beautifully written story about two people who were in love and engaged only to have tragedy strike and tear it all away.

Kara fell in love with the foster kid Ryan when she first laid eyes on him at her father's auto shop. Ryan spent a lot of time at their home because he was her brother's best friend as well. On Kara's 18th birthday, Ryan purposed to her and of coarse she said yes. However it was just not in the cards for them at that time.

Ryan, was a good kid, smart and knew exactly what he wanted to do for the rest of his life and this included being with Kara. He loved Kara. While her father was dropping her off at college, Ryan was called in to work on a car for a VIP. He never thought that this would be the catalyst that would ruin everything he had with Kara. Having no choice, Ryan left.

Kara not knowing what happened and listening to all the town folk call Ryan a murderer she went on with her life but never stopped thinking of Ryan.

Ryan decides it's time to come back home and set things straight once and for all. Does it work? You'll have to read to the book to find out.

A very good book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Ryan was brilliant, handsome, sexy and my brothers best friend. He thought of me as his little sister....I thought...but after all those years working in my fathers garage, hanging out with me brother, eating Sunday Family Dinner with us he was actually watching me like I was watching him.

He was finally mine and I was finally his until one stormy horrific night and our lives changed forever. He was GONE...JUST GONE... and so was my heart that he took with him.

Kara was my everything...my whole world BUT when the universe has other plans for you, you just have to go with it until the time is right to come back again and get what belongs to you. But when you are pin pointed as a bad man because of your background that you had no control over you have to wait for the perfect opportunity to get what you want, deserve and need to survive.

The twist and turns in this story will have you turning the pages fast and faster... This was a fantastic story of two young souls meant to be together but sometimes life gets in the way !

Wow take about true love. They meet when Kara is 14 and Ryan is 16, both the smartest kids in their school, both working at her father's garage but their first encounter is when she runs and slips in a puddle of oil. From then on out these two have become family but they also knew that they were are for each other. But true love comes with some heavy choices in life, but what these two will go through will test their love, trust, and souls to right the wrongs that were committed. She opened her heart to a new love, he made his life with being more ideas for his business he started from the ground up. After 5 years apart with their love still shine through all the darkness that was placed between them....

Told in both p.o.v., HEA, and when these two come together they are very 'explosive' in more ways then one.

for trying to get the girl back there is little to no wooing. The begining of the book focuses on the couple getting together and leads up to the night he leaves her. Still not a lot of emotional bliss. Then it's a lot of her and another guy. A relationship that made no sense. and once again skipped any wooing and went straight to explaining how they haven't had sex in months and in counseling yet planning a wedding. what?! Then he comes back and she fights him for all of one day being mad he left her then insta love. Then it's more mystery action than romance. When the do get sexy it's a bit crude. This just felt like a waste of time. But I am curious about her brothers life. another book? another fail?

I liked the story, I really did. There was mystery, intrigue, hot romance. Plus it was a second-chance, friends-to-lovers story, all things I like, but...

Some of the details were just unbelievable, and not in the outraged, "Oh my God, that's unbelievable!" kind of way. They simply were not to be believed. I won't detail them because I hate spoilers in reviews, but just know that there were some pretty eye-rolling, "you gotta be kidding me" moments.

Plus, I really hate naive heroines. You know, the ones who believe obvious lies and take what people say at face value although their actions speak louder than the lies? Yeah, those. Kara is one of those chicks, which really pissed me off after what she had been through.

It's really unsettling, also, to get through the entire "mystery" part of the book only to be disappointed to find out the details of it and know it would never happen the way it did.

So, I have to say that I liked everything about the book but what drove Ryan away, and it was such a pivotal moment that it did affect my rating. I wish it played out differently.
