Liz had never looked for true love. As a child she had learned first-hand how painful the loss of a loved one can be. Since then, she had associated love and caring with pain and the fear of loss. To protect herself from getting hurt again, Liz turns her back on the sentimental, oh-so perfect world for good. She literally arms herself to the teeth and keeps everyone at arm’s length–until she meets Grayson Blackwood who won’t let her reject him.

Gray has never been afraid of a challenge and he will do anything he needs to, to get closer to Liz. Even if it means fighting unfairly . . .

Deathwish/ Rambo meets playschool!!!

A young Liz blaims herself for her mother's death and over the following years she pushes her father and brother away, fearing any kind of commitment or closeness. Instead she's recruited into a special forces team, partnered with Jennifer, into really dangerous missions.
Grayson Blackwood is an investor/partner in Liz's dad's construction company but also works the technology/ surveillance side in the same special forces team along with his partner Chris.
The women have an aversion to authority and act like a pair of Rambos on speed with a deathwish, the men are winging papas on the sidelines. In fact, besides the extreme missions and the sex scenes, the characters and dialogue was childishly juvenile.
A very odd book to read and review. In all honesty the first few chapters weren't that inspiring, too much information was crammed in to make it drone on instead of a steady flow.
Overall, it's very Rambo like over the top action packed in places, but the storyline had a huge air of immaturity to it.
A full book which ended rather abruptly with a continuing storyline. Found it free. 2.5*
