Hannah loves her life in New York, even though her boss doesn't appreciate her and her long-overdue promotion went to someone else. When her crazy best friend signs up for a mail order bride dating site, Hannah signs up as well just for laughs -- except things turn serious when her bestie falls in love and drags Hannah to North Dakota to meet the guy and his devastatingly handsome brother.
Wade doesn't have time for love -- running a ranch, keeping his brothers in line, and trying to keep the bear shifters across three counties from accidentally revealing themselves to the humans are more than three full-time jobs. When curvaceous Hannah shows up at the ranch along with her best friend, though, Wade reconsiders his priorities. Just as she makes him believe in true love, the rival wolf pack in town threatens her in an attempt to get Wade to back down, and everything he's worked for starts to fall apart.
Hannah could almost deal with leaving the city to be with Wade... until he turns into a bear. She thought New York had the weirdest people on the planet, but at least none of them turn inside out. She and Wade are definitely from two different worlds... is bear mail enough to bring them back together?
DNF at 69% They've spent a total of maybe 48 hours together spread over a month and now he loves her?? They have never talked really, and yet he can't live without her? I didn't like her friend, I didn't like his family. This is a solid nope from me. I should have stopped long before now.
Just kidding. It's a funny joke though. This book was wishy washy, sappy and just kind of blah. Very light hearted. Barely violent. Barely sexy. Bahaha. Bear-ly anything. Shrug.
I was given a free copy of this story in exchange for an honest review. Have you ever gotten into a book that you couldn't put down? I read this book as I waited for the veterinarian to examine my dog. While in my car, I immediately took my book out to read at a stop light (and then every stoplight after that). Signed: Bear Mail is just one of those type of books that makes it hard for you to put down.
Hannah, I found to be witty, funny and likable. Her personality alone engaged you. Wade is a "straight shooter," no nonsense and loyal. “How the hell did you flirt with someone who didn't play games and just said what he thought” - don't you just wish more men were like this...actually don't you just wish more people were like this? And like this: “Then let me fight for you, Hannah. I'll fight for you every day, wherever and whenever you need me.” Oh my gosh! *sigh, tear, tear* ...yeah I'm TOTALLY sold! Ok, so if you like to shifters, romance, humor and an entertaining read then this is the book for you! Enjoy!
This was a new author for me. I stumbled onto this book. It didn't disappoint. I loved how their was raw emotions built in from start to finish. You really didn't know what was going to happen until the very end. Hannah is a curvy girl who no one notices. She is always the wing woman for her best friend Jen. When Jen finds love in North Dakota. She drags Hannah along to push off on the up tight jerk of an older brother named Wade. Its a disaster with these two from the start. Wade doesn't want her their and Hannah sets put to prove she can handle and challenge including him. I didn't care for Jed. He just annoyed me. I think he would even annoy the cat maximus. It was wonderful read and looking forward to more stories from this author.
Signed by Layla Nash is one of those quick reads that I found likable, but sadly had one irritating flaw
I liked this two friends and two brothers love story. In many ways it was cute and thankfully the pace was steady. I also liked both of the main characters, as well as the supporting characters.
What I didn't like was the writing style. I have no problem with authors who change the point of view by labeling chapters with the name of the POV character. What I dislike is using this trick and then writing in a narrative or third person style. If it is that person's POV, then let them have their voice. Don't tell me, show me.
Content 411: In addition to unnecessary vulgar language (including “f” bombs), this book also contains explicit sex.
This is a shifter romance where I feel the intention is good, but the execution isn't quite there. We have a city gal helping her bestie meet the man of her dreams in Nowhere, North Dakota and discovering a shocking family secret. It's a Hallmark setup and leans into some of those cliches for fluff and tension. Only not much actually happens in the tale. Thoughts and actions happen in the time gaps. The territory dispute is not resolved. The engagement party doesn't happen on the pages for Jen and Henry. The text only concerns itself with the romance yet strangely our main couple barely talks.

Enjoyed the story, but I felt a big chunk was missing. And that chunk was Wade and Hannah getting to know each other. There should have been so much more during that weekend when Hannah went with Jen to meet Henry. Henry and Jen were always off alone together. It just had the one day that Hannah and Wade had breakfast together, did chores together, and then they didn't talk to each other after that for a long time. The argument was stupid and them not talking to each other was immature. This book had potential, but fell short.
I loved this book. Hannah was a great girl to read about. Getting talked into a mail order bride service was truly funny, and turns her life upside down. Her gal pal/ roommate Jen, really changes their lives by insisting this is a good idea for them both. I loved her wake up call on the little prop job plane ,that they have to ride for the last part of the trip. Then being car sick after the air sickness. What a way to make a first impression. I felt so bad for her, and Wade for being set up by Jen, and his little sister. Great ending. I loved it
Hannah and her friend sign up for a dating site on a whim. When her friend matches with a rancher in North Dakota, she goes along to make sure things are ok. To her surprise, there are two handsome brothers waiting at the airport and the other is her match!
This is a fun book about two city girls and their cowboy mates with a secret. Can they convince the women to leave the city and accept their supernatural nature?
A exciting shifter romance. When Jen convinces Hannah to join a mail order bride website little did they know what they were getting into. Jen had been chatting to Henry and felt a great connection so they secretly decided that Hannah would be perfect for his brother Wade, but didn’t tell either of them. The result was awkward to start with, then they had to change into bears to protect the girls caused all sorts of problems. A great story
Signed (Bear Mail book 1) by Layla Nash. Hannah and Jen, after a boozy evening, think it's a good idea to sign up for a mail-order bride service. When Jen is matched with Henry, who lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere, she persuades Hannah to go with her when she goes to meet Henry for the first time. Wade, Henry's older brother catches Hannah's she until she discovers Wade can turn into a bear.
This was not a good read. Why was Hannah’s POV in first person and Wade’s POV in 3rd person? It was weird. I thought this would bring something different but it’s juvenile, the characters are shallow, the ‘romance’ moves really fast, and the story line is just a bunch of underdeveloped tropes thrown together. The world building isn’t great either.
I also hate the idea of a woman leaving her career in the city for a man in the country and it’s even worse when they’ve barely been together.

I enjoyed the book for the most part even when it got predictable. They meet but don’t like each other, she leaves, they miss each other, she returns as they have sex, she finds out he’s a Shifter, she rejects it, she leaves, he comes for her, they live happily ever after. Cliche but cute.
I loved the story so much. Wade has the perfect balance of gruffness and shyness. Perfect start to what I hope is a new series. Looking forward to reading more of Layla's books. I think my favorite scene in the story was when she was sitting in the truck with the rifle and Wade's sister tried to calm her down.
Wade was not a happy camper when he found out what his siblings had done, but his bear was. Or at least would be if the humans got their act together. Hannah had her own work and life issues to work out even before the big reveal. I liked the way they were able to come to an understanding and work it all out.
There were parts that jumped making what was going on confusing. The plot also was weak and underdeveloped. The character were half-baked.
Overall it was a cheesey, corny little tale that was OK as long as you didn’t think too hard about it. Basically from a distance and squinting without your glasses on made it look like a halfway decent story.
Wade and Hannah their story tells you of two people who keep everything inside and when the find something they really want, but don't know how to go about showing their feelings. The characters will take you through twist and turns throughout and have you on the edge of your seat while reading this book.
LOVED this book and story!! Highly recommend it!!!
I'm so glad I got this book!! I absolutely LOVED it!! The love between Wade and Hannah literally made me cry happy tears for them and now I want to find a man, just like Wade. This book had lots of romance, excitement, some suspense and laughter. It was a GREAT read and I can't wait to start the next book in this Series!
This is a story about two young women who sign up with a mail order bride website. One is all in and the other just goes along with her friend. Unbeknownst to her, the friend sets her up with the brother of her match. Then the roler coaster begins. Good read.
It's a typical paranormal shifter hetero mating romance, with not much to distinguish it from any other book in the genre. The best I can say is that it had a happy ending without a cliffhanger. If the series follows the expected pattern, other unmated brothers or neighbors will be featured next. Typos: the author uses hyphens improperly and inconsistently.
So this is completely out of my normal genre range. I enjoyed it because I like paranormal/fantasy stuff but the language and romance was a little above my usual tolerance level, so for that reason I doubt if I'll continue the series. BUT in saying all of that, this wasn't a horrible book. It was funny at times, very 'romancy', and definitely fulfilled that shape-shifting idea.
Short and sweet and everything I want in a quick paranormal romance. It's well written but there isn't too much substance. To be honest, that's not why I read these. I'm looking for a quick escape and if someone knows they're meant to be together after just 3 weeks, who am I to judge? It was definitely Hallmark movie-esque and I'll be reading the other two in this series.
Absolutely loved the book! I felt I was there actually going through the bad and the happy times throughout the book. It's too bad that there isn't really men out there that could truly love a woman like the men in this book does. Excellent read!
I love shifter romance and beats in particular. This was a neat romance with great characters and lots of heat. It was about taking chances and stepping out on faith in spite of what if’s. A perfect evening escape.
Wow! Such a beautiful, heartwarming love story! Grumpy bear meets city girl and sparks fly, maybe a little fur too. The characters are awesome, the scenery is cold, beautiful, and stormy! You get caught up in the mayhem, chaos, and danger as you are swept into their lives. You feel their despair, hope, joy, pain, and anguish as they struggle to find a solution.
Lived it, love bear shifters. About a bear shifter who signs himself and his brother up for a mail order bride dating site 4 shifters to meet women, one likes the guy she met online and her and her best friend go to NorthvDakota to meet them. The one girl isn't happy she's set up to meet him
I loved this book. It has love , family, friends , everything to keep me locked in. I truly love this book. I will gladly recommend it to anyone and everyone. A big Thank you to Ms. Nash
