Full Moon Slaughter #1

Full Moon Slaughter

Rate this book
“Even a man who is pure at heart and who says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the Autumn Moon is bright.” This quote, made famous from the 1941 werewolf film classic, The Wolf Man, is the embodiment of the terror within man of that which can’t be controlled – The beast which resides within us all. The curse (or blessing, depending on one’s perception) of the werewolf has inspired many films and many books, which now brings us to Full Moon Slaughter. Within this tome, you will find a large and diverse collection of tales; stories which are dark, brutal and haunting. Tales true to the wolf or other shifter within. Accounts of Lycanthropy, of curses, lunatic carnage and full moon mayhem. Welcome to the slaughter. It’s time to unleash the beast within!

Full disclosure, im biased because I'm in this book. Without mentioning my story, I can safely say that if you enjoy werewolf mayhem then you should enjoy this book. What I consider the feature story by Michelle Garda and Melissa Larson is what you should expect from a writing duo nicknamed The Sisters of Slaughter. Well written and entertaining, there are some solid up and coming writers to be found here.

Wow! This was crammed with such a beautiful mix of stories. They ranged from moody, Gothic horror, to extreme, gory horror with everything in between. Some of these were by authors I know and love, and they did not disappoint. Many of the authors included were new to me, which is exciting. I was so impressed with some, I’ve already sought out more of their work. I had no doubt this collection would be great because the editor, Toneye Eyenot, is an author who never lets me down. Recommend for all fans of horror. There is something here for everyone to love.

One of the better werewolf-anthologies I've read. A diverse range of interesting werewolf stories: some brutal, some with a bit humour and some that are just absolutely weird...but, each and everyone was a pleasure to read.
