PLEASE NOTE: This companion novella is designed to be read AFTER books 1–4 in The Tainted Accords. Sin contains SPOILERS of the Tainted Accords series.

***
“He saunters in front of her with false casualness. Sin. Devastatingly handsome and devastatingly aware of it.”

Sin is quite content to fornicate, fight, and drink his life away—in that order. He’s got friends, he’s got goldies, and he’s blissfully free of females—during the day, anyway. If there’s one thing his dear father taught him, it was to never let a woman get too close. “Women aren’t capable of loyalty,” his father would say over a bottle of brew. “They’ll leave you as soon as a better offer comes along.”
Just like Sin’s mother.
Yet when Sin comes across, quite frankly, the ugliest woman he’s ever seen, he finds himself offering her friendship, safe in the knowledge he’ll never feel anything more.

Even if she’s different from any other female he’s ever met.

Even when he can’t stop thinking about her.

Olorna is still recovering from the harsh effects of starvation in her struggle to survive the war. Now she feels horribly out of her depth as a new member of the Solati court. Olorna is desperate to fit in for the sake of her mother, who has been given the role of her dreams. But when a royal change puts her mother’s new position on tenuous ground, she is powerless to stop it. . . .
When Olorna receives an offer which will solve all her problems, she is determined to accept, despite the consequences.

Even when a man incapable of love steals a kiss from her lips.

Even if she is making the biggest mistake of her life.

I really missed this world so figured it was time to read the novellas. Sin is arguably my fav character in the Tainted Accords series so I was sooo excited but this was kinda a let down 😔 I am just so confused how he didn't realized she was starving, and instead thought she was just ugly. How tf—

Ya know what, never mind. I'm just gonna let this one lie. It was cute that they started as friends and I get the idea the author was going for by having the vain Sin overlook looks to fall for someone as a person, but the amount of times he called her ugly I was just like bro.... And then she conveniently became hot at the end I just.... *shakes head*

I did love seeing the baby scene from Fantasy of Freedom from Sin's POV tho bc the fact that he picked up that starving kid and told her he could help but she 'had to earn it' and then the baby really did 😂 I can't w this man.

Sin, Sin, Sin. What a mystery. Finding out why he paraded around like a manwhore was heartbreaking. But who he was underneath came out even more in this book and I loved it. We also meet Olorna, who was starved by the crazy ex-Tatum during the war and is still recovering. Sin and her start out as reluctant friends and it goes from there. Their romance was really cute, especially when you knew how they felt for each other before they even realized it. Good drama and a great ending. And of course, I loved getting a more in-depth look into the decision Olina made at the end of the last book. Can't wait for the next book.

It pains me so much to say this, because I was so excited for these novellas, but I hated this.

The minute Sin said that Olorna was 'ugly' and then continued to call her ugly well into the story, I was done. How on earth am I ever supposed to jump to, now he all of a sudden loves her and wants to marry her?? Yeah, I can't. It didn't work at all for me.

Not to mention, Olandon was an ass in this one, and I'm not sure I'm excited to read his book anymore.

I REALLY wanted to love this one, because the hero Sin is my favourite type - a blond charming manwhore who, when he falls, falls hard. He's besotted and the last few chapters of this novella are really cute. Unfortunately, before that he says some absolutely brutal things about the heroine's ugliness, which I just could not get over. I wish the first few chapters didn't exist.

Women love the bad boy.

We all the know type, as movies and literature are rife with them - the swarthy, so-handsome-it-hurts lothario who leaves a trail of broken hearts behind him. Pit fighter, two-fisted drinker, the envy of all men. If only there were a woman who could tame his savage breast!

Enter Olorna, a lonely, homely woman who is trying to help her mother by marrying a nobleman, a loathsome man she can't stand. A chance encounter between her and Sin, however, turns both of their worlds upside down.

Kelly St. Clare writes the character of Sin with such obvious zest, it's easy to see how much she adores him as a character. Whether you want to be him or think he's a tremendous d-bag, there's no denying he's far more than he lets on. Sin is brilliantly written, like all the Tainted Accords books (and the story picks up where that series ended). What a pleasure it was to delve into one of its most interesting supporting characters. I look forward to more. Who's next? Avalanche? Ice? Alzona? (Don't tell me, Kelly, I want to be surprised.)

To be read *after* The Tainted Accords series.

Entertaining short story revealing Sin's past as he copes with newfound truths and finally forms a connection with one special woman. Several secondary characters from The Tainted Accords series make appearances here.

But I want you to know if you choose me, I will make you the happiest woman alive. I will feed you, I will clothe you, and I will protect you.
Sin was a cute short story about a character that had everyone swooning in the Tainted Accords series, Sin. Albeit short, it was deeply entertaining and I liked having a different POV than Olina. Sin is still his funny, vain self, but he now lives on Osolis, having followed Olina there.

I've always liked his character, and I wish this book had been longer because it definitely needed more development for the story to be believable. Of course, it is a novella so I knew what to expect. Even though I didn't love it and I found the romance to be a little superficial, I still liked being back in this world and seeing all these characters again.

Sin was a sweet story, he gets to have his happy ending and we do get to learn a bit more about him and his past. His heroine, Olorna, wasn't my favorite in the way that we don't know her and this book doesn't really help. I'm sure if it had been longer, I'd have liked her because she was funny despite her shyness and, by the end, knew what she wanted and went for it.

Olorna's mother, however, had me in tears. The woman is funny and the way Kelly St. Clare wrote her character is perfect. One thing I enjoyed too was going back to St. Clare's writing style, I love it. She writes the funniest scenes when it shouldn't even be remotely funny and she has a way with words.

I am looking forward to read the rest of the novellas, especially Rhone and Shard. If you haven't read this series yet, I highly recommend it.

I was so distraught when I came to the end of book four. Due to me not wanting it to be over and because of me sobbing at the end of the last book as I absolutely loved it.

In this novella we get to see Sin and more of his history and how he came to be how he is. I never imagined for a second it would be as heartbreaking as it was. In this one we get to meet Olorna as well as finding out about Sin's childhood. I'm not at all embarrassed to say that I was crying my eyes out throughout this book. I am so happy that one of the people she chose to write about was Sin. I would love for there to be more novellas with more characters from this book as there really are so many that I love. It would also be nice to have a novella about Jovan which is set after the last book to see more of their reign (which if you've read the last book you will probably understand why).

I'm not gonna lie. The first part of the story where Sin meets Olorna upset me a little. But only because of how Sin first saw Olorna however as I carried on reading I had to admit that it makes sense and it definitely fits in with Sin and his character and We also get to see a little more of Olina and Jovan which is amazing because lets face it if you read to this point in the series you love Olina and Jovan too<3.

I am off to get into the next book Olandon because I just need to immerse myself back in their world.

I was excited to begin these novellas and learn more about these characters and their world (I also didn't mind the glimpses of our main couple too...) I was always fond of Sin and his blatant flirting and arrogance. But I felt like this book didn't feel authentic. Sin was always prided for his "intelligent eyes," which gave away the intelligence he kept hidden. I feel like this book was not true to his character because he was unbelievably dumb and pigheaded in this one. He kept calling Olorna ugly, even after finding out she was a villager? He saw the villagers and their starvation and still couldn't make the connection? It just didn't really make sense to me. The ending of the book wss better, with him coming up with his plan. But the rest of it definitely impacted my enjoyment of the novella. I am glad he found someone to love though.

As novellas goes this wasn’t bad, it just didn’t have the same feel to it as the Frost series. I’m going to continue reading this novella series, unfortunately the next book is not who want to read about either. There are two cover for Sin, one has a picture of what’s suppose to be Sin. When I see covers where the description of a guy does not fit the the description in the book it gets under my skin. Sin had blonde locks in the books, please author’s pay attention to details they matter. I would have rather seen a blank cover.

cute

I always liked Sin, so I was happy he got his own novella , but the story was a bit thin and I wish there’d been more time to develop the romance.

Some good intrigue, though, and I liked the cameos of some of the characters from earlier in the series.

I fell in love with Sin in the Tainted Accords series but this novella made me love him even more. I did not expect Sin's life to be like that and was pleasantly surprised through out the whole novella. Honestly, nothing in this novella was what I was expecting which made it that much more interesting that what I previously imagined. It was entertaining and captivating throughout the duration of the novella. I was sad whenever I had to put it down so life could get in the way but I thought of it in ever moment I was away from Sin. Olorna. Sweet, sweet Olorna. What can I say about you except my poor sweet child. I want to tuck you under my wing and to protect you from the world.
'Warren did help him up. Right into a bucket of freezing water, which he dunked him in three times.
"I'm awake!" Sin shouted, scrambling back.
"And now you smell like a pig, instead of a two-week-dead pig."
Sin sniffed himself. "It's possible I've smelt better," he said indignantly.'

Sin's novella was a love story that was unlike the Tainted Accords series that I absolutely loved. It lacked all the things that I love in a good story. There was no real conflict, no grueling fights, no evil villian with cruelty so unimaginable that I can't wait to read more, and no scenes ending in death. (don't judge me, I like what I like).

I did however walk away from this light read in love with Sin! The intricacies of his many layers were revealed in a way that made me really connect with him. The story came together at the perfect pace which is a little tricky with novellas and the writing was as well done as the books in the series. Olorna was the perfect match for him and I was glad for their HEA.

I'm still burning to know who Olandon's love interest is. All I'm sure of now is that it's a woman. (Yes, I had my doubts)

I highly recommend you read The Tainted Accords series first in order to fully appreciate Sin. With that said...

If you enjoyed the guilty pleasure that is Sin (let's face it, you know you did) in The Tainted Accords series, you'll love his self titled novella! Get a glimpse into his past and see what makes him tick. See what he hides behind his "bad boy" mask and watch him transform from a ladies man into a one woman man.

I enjoyed the ride.

Delicious quicky with a sassy and charming hero, a absolutely loveable heroine with a big heart and the strength to do what needs to be done and lots of our beloved Tainted Accords friends. I fell for them, I fell for the story, I fell for the tricks (WHO does he LOOK AT???!!!) and I really really want more. Thankfully there'll be, I am not at all done with that universe and its people!

Perfect.
the other side of Sin and you could totally fall in love.
mixing three nations together in a bid for peace is a difficult thing, add mother issues, daddy issues, wicked court fellows, badguys, and two stubborn souls meant to be and you get an awesome, short little story that you will go from start to finish in one go!
definitely recommend.

I read this in one day. It was great to learn of Sin's past to know how he turned out the way he did and how he over came things. Oh and the twist with Olina very sneaky sneaky loved it. But Kelly you are driving me bonkers with your teasers of Olandon and who he likes from the Bruma ugh it is driving me crazy.

I knew - EVERYONE knows Sin has more depth.
[Although with Olina's throwaway "he'll never love anyone more than himself" - I felt that was a bit too pat but hopefully more just for her sake as in she knows he doesn't really love HER. And he doesn't. Although I did honestly like "everyone else" think he might. At least a little.

I'm ... not quite sure how I feel about it that his novella doesn't touch on that at ALL.]

And the him and Olanna. I wish they'd had more TIME together. I like that Olanna isn't just taken in by his pretty - ok STUNNING face.
And that Sin figures things out.

His tri-world solution is brilliant, and I love how Olina takes him in. She's clever - I wish they'd interacted a bit more, but ... ah well. If wishes were horses and all.

Big fan of the tainted accords. I absolutely loved the series. I was sad that it was over and I thought these books wouldn't be much good since they are extras. I was so wrong! I never really thought about everything that was left unsolved. I only thought about Olina and Jovan. This places you into the mindset of everyone that got left out as the main characters and I love it! I thought it funny that there was a part in this book i didn't like, because Olina was being cruel, and I hated it because that wasn't her. Turns out it was all an act and I found that hilarious. Even though these may come off as extra, they mess with your emotions and it gets into your head all the same as the original series. I am excited to read the rest of the "extra" books. It took me less than a day to read this book so I'm thinking the rest of the books aren't going to take me long if I keep this up.

As you can tell by the title this book is about sin. We got to see more of Sin’s backstory. Which I liked because he was one of my favorite characters. I also loved that we got to see a little more of the characters from the other books. The book was king of slow at part and I almost didn’t finish it but I pulled through and I liked it. The loved romance. He really loved her and she loved him and he really proved how much he loved her throughout the book. The book was also really funny at times. I started laughing so hard when he called her ugly and didn’t even notice her. Afranca was my favorite character I literally loved her so much. Sin and Olorna were such a cute couple I loved them so much and I need more of them. The book was kind of slow at some parts but overall it was an amazing book.

Eye Opening & Worrisome But With Romance.😲😔😡😍💘
Who Is Sin?😏🔥💪🍺😍
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)
Sin (The Tainted Accords Novella, #4.5)

It was great getting to know the 'real' Sin & why he acts the way he does!😔 Its a shame that he took he what he did from his childhood.💔 We meet a quiet & malnourished ex villager, Olorna. Her Mother has been elevated to Satum of the Treasury but most of the court still treat them like scum.😡 She's determined they should rise about it. Sin & Olorna strike up an unlikely type of friendship that lands them both in emotional pain.😢

It was great peeling back Sin's layers. I liked Olorna & her Mum. Tatum Landon hasn't endeared himself to me that much as yet, his novella is next so I'll be interested to find more from his Pov.👍 I really enjoyed this couple's HEA.🌟

Love Sin

I really liked Sin in the Fantasy of Frost series so I'm glad I got to read more about Sin and I enjoyed his short story and I got to see a sneak peak at some of the other characters I love and i was looking forward to seeing them in this story..And I liked Olorna and how her and Sin make personal growth..
!!! SPOILER ALERT BELOW!!
It really hurt my heart that's Sin that Olorna was ugly and scrawny when really she was getting better after starving for so long.. But I'm glad he was able to see past that and see her for herself..I also love that Sin was able to take something seriously and find happiness..I however don't like that he bashing Olina..I get that he has person issues trusting women but come on..I think the meanest she got in the Fantasy of Frost series was to say that Arla had a big nose heck everyone celebrated when she made an

I’m so happy to have read this novella! I have always had a weakness for any story where a woman brings a rake to heel and this did not disappoint. If you haven’t read the Tainted Accords series it’s definitely something you should look into! These characters are like family! I have loved Sin from the beginning. He is one of those you hate to love him but just can’t help it, he is just so simple but extremely clever especially with his banter and his personality is so engaging. Though his story here was short and sweet after journeying with him through the series I am so happy he seems to have pulled through, and as his story is beginning Lina’s story is ending but it’s fantastic to see a continuation of the world I had left behind!

Sin is a must read!

I have read all of the Tainted Accords series, and I looked forward to this novella. It's one of those books that you just want to keep reading. Sin is Olina's valet but desires to me more than that. The war is over and it's time for a new adventure. St. Clare definitely knows how to write a story and more than that, bring the reader right in. To read this story, the reader must have read the first four books before this, in order to grasp the worlds and turmoil of Osolis and Glacium, but each book is worth the read. I really love the strength of Olina but this new story has me setting my sights on Sin.

Even though I knew this was a Novella.. I had to give it three stars because SIN’s character should have had his own full book! We love him for his charm and charisma, but Sin discovers an uncomfortable truth about why he may treat women the way he does. This was Insta-fast everything. If SIN was in RL …. I just know he would take his time and drag out the pleasure for everyone. This definitely didn’t do him justice even though I’m glad he got his own book. I didn’t really get to delve into Orlorna’s character as the book was so fast and shallow. It had all the makings but fell short due to being a rushed Novella.

Poor Sin.

I wonder if Olandon’s story will be any better?
