Nathan has come to town for one reason: her. And he's not leaving until she's his.
Nathan thought he'd be a happy bachelor forever, but things have changed. One by one his brothers have been falling prey to this whole "love" thing and Nathan has never come close to finding a woman who could tolerate him in large doses. Well, except for one. But this girl isn't a fling. She's long term, first class wife material. If he goes for her, it's not for a one night stand. It's for forever.
Katy Carey is busy. Too busy for love and much too busy for the assertive billionaire from her past who showed up out of nowhere and demanding they try to make things work. But as the Inn she manages starts to face one crisis after another, it becomes apparent that someone is trying to destroy the business she's devoted her life and future to.
Now the man she just wanted to leave her alone ends up being a friendly ear, an ally and, scariest of all, her only hope.
Mallory Crowe has lived in Michigan her whole life and has been in love with romance ever since she'd skip to the end of every novel, just to make sure the hero and heroine survived and ended up together. She lives with her husband and three dogs. When she's not writing, she's spending too much time in front of the TV, hiking, or working with various animal rescues.
The fifth book in the Fractured Farrells series by Mallory Crowe. Nathan Farrell is the youngest of the Farrell brothers and is suddenly dissatisfied with his life. It was recommended that he go back to when he was happy, so he takes a vacation to go visit the girl he never got to have. But Katy Carey is aware of what Nathan has become and has not desire to get involved. Meanwhile, something is going on at the Inn and it's not good.
I liked Nathan and Katy's story a lot. It was a really good addition to the series. The story ends with the hint of more to come so I assume Ms. Crowe has another series that will hopefully tell Scott's story.
This is the final book in the 'Fractured Farrells: A Damaged Billionaire' series. I really hate to see it go but as I understand there will be a character or two we sort of got to know in this book who will advance to a new series Mallory has been penning!
If you have been reading this series you know that Nathan is the most troubled brother. He's the wild, partying, man-whore extraordinaire. He is numb, not feeling much of anything at all until SHE enters his mind...on a regular basis.
Katy Carey happens to be that woman. She and Nathan had hit it off when they were in their mid to late teens and they both fell in love with the other only never spoke of it. But there was never actually a date nor was there intimacy. Apparently he was dating her friend and when he broke it off so he could be with Katy he was paid a visit by Katy's sister-in-law and very strongly warned against seeing the very innocent Katy. That was the last thing Nathan wanted but he up and left leaving them both with shattered hearts. For the next eight years or so Nathan spent his time drinking too much, getting high, and sleeping with any woman who was willing...which were many, very many. This is how he dealt with his loss of Katy. He became self-destructive and was so deep in his depravity that his family hired a full time publicity agent just to manage him and teach him boundaries along with repairing his sullied image. The man was nothing but trouble.
After another big mistake, Nathan found out the businessman he had just had a business dinner with was the husband of his sex partner at the time. That was a line he wasn't supposed to cross but he didn't know. The woman had told him she was divorcing her husband but she wasn't. It made him angry that one of his rules was broken so he went to talk with his old PR expert who was now his sister-in-law. He felt he was broken inside and he never felt any emotions...just numbness. She helped him see where the problems had began and he set himself on a journey to win Katy back who had no idea her sister-in-law had warned him away years before.
I highly recommend this book as well as the series.

REVIEW: 4.25 stars-- RELENTLESS is the fifth and final installment in Mallory Crowe’s contemporary, adult FRACTURE FARRELLS: Damaged Billionaires romantic, suspense series focusing on the Farrell siblings. This is businessman Nathan Farrell, and Inn manager Katy Carey’s story line. RELENTLESS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. The FRACTURED FARRELLS series is a spin off from Mallory’s BILLIONAIRES IN THE CITY series. You do not have to have read the original series to understand or comprehend the premise of the new series.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Nathan and Katy) RELENTLESS is a second chance, of sorts, between billionaire Nathan Farrell, and Seal Cove Inn manager Katy Carey. Years earlier, Katy had a wild crush on Nathan Farrell, her best friend’s boyfriend and the man who would break her sixteen year old heart. Fast forward to present day and Nathan Farrell feels he has been left behind. All of his siblings have found their happily ever after, and Nathan is caught in a perpetual circle of one night stands, or relationships of betrayal and pain. The one person who made him feel real; made him feel like he belonged is the young girl, now a woman, whose heart he destroyed years before. Enter Katy Carey, a small town Inn manager, and a woman facing threats from an unknown source. Nathan’s arrival at Seal Cove Inn comes with some unexpected troubles including a leaky roof, malicious damage and an expected murder. What ensues is the rekindling relationship between Nathan and Katy, and the search for a potential killer at the Seal Cove Inn.
The relationship between Nathan and Katy is one of second chances. Nathan walked out of Katy’s life years before, and in the ensuing time Katy has never forgotten the heartbreak and pain of the man that she once loved. Nathan’s determination to get Katy back into his life finds our hero make decisions that could affect their future together. The $ex scenes are intimate without the over the top graphic, erotic imagery.
All of the previous story line couples, and Farrell siblings play secondary and supporting roles including several employees of the Seal Cove Inn including front desk receptionists Sean and Sheila, as well as the Inn’s next door neighbor Levi Adams who may or may not be interested in Katy Carey.
RELENTLESS is a story of second chances; a romantic suspense focusing on Nathan’s need to forgive himself for the sins of his past; and moving forward towards a happily ever after. The premise is intriguing and heartwarming; the characters are spirited and energetic; the romance is passionate and moving. RELENTLESS is an intimate look at one man’s seduction of the woman he has always loved, and one woman’s need to make it on her own. Mallory Crowe’s amazing FRACTURE FARRELL series is a delightful look at family, friendships and happily ever afters.
I am looking forward to Mallory’s next spin off series- THE STOLEN HEARTS-and book one The Cocky Thief focusing on police officer Scott Hart-a character who was first introduced in the Fracture Farrells.
Mallory just keeps doing it, one book after the other. This one was special to me. This time Logan being the youngest Farrell brother isn’t a surprise but even though I have read all of Mallory’s series, it took me a little while to place Katy. You have to go back to the Billionaire in the City series to pick up Dean and Victoria’s story. Where does Katy fit in, she’s Dean’s younger sister, that he raised after their parents death. Mallory’s ability to weave storylines for other series was a fabulous piece of art. Now that’s not to say you have to read the previous book/s to understand this one. This book can absolutely stand on its own.
Logan has finally hit the bottom on the relationship department or should we say the lack of content substance relationship. After a little soul searching he realized that the only women he really loved was one that he met many years ago while she was still in high school. He had been warned away by Victoria, and because he cared about Katy, he did. Only now, has he realized just how wrong he was…and he’s done staying away.
Katy has become the manager of a resort hotel in Maine. She’s managed to accomplish a lot in a very short time but now the one guy that she never truly dated but who owned her heart is standing in her hotel insisting that she give him a chance. Katy isn’t inclined to give him any time and Logan isn’t taking no for an answer.
If you have read any of Mallory’s books you know you are in for a HEA as well as a bit of mystery. This one delivers on both. I didn’t feel the high tension that I have in some of her other books but the mystery was fun just the same. Read it and enjoy, I know I did.
Mallory Crowe just made me love another Farrel! I'm so gonna miss this family! This is a second chance love story and the final one from Fractured Farrel Series, and it got me from the first page. Nathan is a playboy who is not attracted to rules at all but is fiercely determined to get what he wants. And guess what? He wants Kary! Kary is a strong, closed woman who knows to struggle and who is very competent on everything she does. The only thing that seems to let her out of balance is Nathan and the feelings he awakes in her. I really enjoyed their story, the way they interacted, arguing, or setting some peace or trying to work through their troubles together. They are a good team! I loved to see all the Farrels again, even for a brief moment! Again: I'm gonna miss them so much!! And I really loved the end. Without spoiling: when I was getting by the end, I was like: "Hey, I don't get it! I need more answers!". But then the bonus scene....OMG!! I need next Ms. Crowe's book!!! I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this title.
I received this book from the author and I decide to voluntarily do a fair and honest review.
What a great finale to the Fractured Farrells! You've read about Nathan a little in the other books, this is his story.
This book has a little of everything. Nathan has finally decided what he needs in his life that he has been missing and it's Katy. He's the bad boy that walked away because she was a good girl. Now he knows that he did the wrong thing by walking away, he is back for her.
This book has romance, suspense and family. You will read about some of the brothers from the past books, but also meet some new character that will be in upcoming series.
This was a good story and I'm sad to see this series end, however this was my least favorite book of the series.
Nathan is a playboy and realizes he's hasn't felt any real emotions in a long time. He knows this is tied to a woman he left behind, Katy. Exactly how that happened is only vaguely explained. Katy now manages an inn and Nathan shows up because he's decided he has to have her. I didn't like his attitude about that. He claimed to love her, but didn't seem to care about her enough to explain and romance her. Instead, he tells her he'll do whatever it takes including lie to her and cheat her. What?! Does that sound like love?
She's busy but I thought she'd be curious enough to at least have a conversation. Instead, she keeps blowing him off and doesn't want to talk to him. I think I'd be demanding an explanation for why he left. She had no clue why he did it so you'd think she'd be curious.
Then he makes a $3,000,000 purchase and his family freaks out. They're billionaires! Why would they even raise an eyebrow about that? He could easily spend that on a house so that just didn't feel genuine. It would make more sense if they found out he was getting involved with a woman since he's been such a playboy.
There was romance, steamy sex, and intrigue which was fun to figure out. I knew Nathan from the previous books so I understood some of his behavior. If this had been a book I just picked up on it's own I would probably give it 3 stars, maybe 3.5. Since I enjoyed the other books in the series and it did deliver a good ending, I'm giving it 4 stars. I just wish Nathan had been more motivated by what he could give to and do for Katy, than his own interests. He should have given her the inn.
I received a free copy of this title from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
From the beginning of the series we see Nathan as the bad boy who just can't do the right thing. He doesn't seem to take anything serious, but you can't seem to dislike him either. Sixteen year old Katy was the love of his life, and Nathan did the honorable thing by not getting involved and letting her live her life. But, Nathan's now at a breaking point. He can't keep pretending everything is okay... seeing his siblings falling in love and getting married while he's still stuck in the past.
Cue Katy Carey, attractive, competent, and recently in danger from an unknown source. Nathan bulldozes his way back into Katy's life, hoping she can satisfy his every desire. And while his forcefulness and lack of communication lands him in some hot water with his love, he's just in time to help protect Katy, whether she wants him there or not!
This is an excellent end to the Fractured Farrells series. Mallory Crowe wraps up the remaining loose ends and gives us some final glimpses of the other Farrells we've grown to love. I can't wait to pick up the next series Ms. Crowe releases, because each book just keeps getting better and better!
I have read the first five books of this series and like them. They follow the pattern H/h meet, feel attraction, assault, they stick together, fall in love, solve the problem with the help of the family, HEA, a one page long epilogue, and end around 93% on kindle. The rest is preview of the next book in the series including a sneak peek. Books 2-4 are set about half a year after the first, book 5 four years later.
It is a quick read with love and suspense. We meet again the Farrell siblings with their partners/spouses.
An author should be well versed in the English language, not only speaking it but also using the proper form in writing. That includes the correct use of tense, i.g. if the novel is written in past tense action from the past must be referred to in past perfect: he knew Mr. X had left the house ten minutes ago. The same applies to orthography and interpunction. Maybe all these mistakes catch the eye of second-language speakers more because we have learnt the foreign language more by grammer rules and less by speaking. This author could use a good editor or proof reader because all of the afore mentioned points apply.
Ah Nathan, Nathan, Nathan...the last Farrell brother to succumb to Cupid's arrow! Our heroine, Katy Carey (sister to Dean Carey from the author's Billionaires in the City series), was someone Nathan wanted to get to know better when they were younger. Due to some "family interference", Nathan and Katy never got past the "friends" stage, but both never forgot those butterfly feelings.
I really enjoyed the cat and mouse/give and take these two had with one another. Nathan really had to pull back on his billionaire tendencies/resources around Katy so he could show her that he was still the person she enjoyed being friends with several years ago. Katy, on the other hand, had to overcome her internal struggles with trying to move out of her comfort zone to allow herself a life outside running the Seal Cove Inn.
A strange mystery and danger bring them closer together as they try and figure out what's going on. Aside from cameos from all the other Farrell siblings and their spouses, we're also introduced to Austin Miles and Scott Hart, who will are part of the Stolen Hearts series!
Katy is determined to give Nathan a run for his money while Nathan is Relentless in his pursuit of Katy! This has been such a wonderful series from a great author! Katy was just a child when she had a "thing" for Nathan. When her sister-in-law warned Nathan off; he agreed that she deserved better and went away. After Nathan had a personal crisis and his sister-in-law counseled him to get with the one person that he never forgot; he found Katy and began his pursuit. What Nathan wants; Nathan gets! I received a gifted copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. I honestly love this story and this series!
This book was really, really interesting. That's why I chose this rating. The characters were amazing. The characters from all the other books was also in this book which is not surprising. All of them have a baby now. Except for Robert and Nathan. Okay in this book Nathan was a really alpha male he went after Katy. She was a little skeptical at first. And not really wanting to put it with Nathan. As you know they always give in. So therefore I guess this series has ended. This book was a pretty good rate. I really enjoyed it. I recommend this book and the four before this one to all romance readers. Great read.
This was the last book of the series, but I have only read Ruthless, book 1, and this one. I realize I missed out on alot of the background, but even without it, it was easy to keep up with the story. Katie was a hard working lady with a life plan. Nathan was a broken playboy billionaire. He wanted Katie, and wouldn't take no for an answer. Katie had her heart broken by Nathan when she was a teenager, and refused to give him another chance. Great story, full of mystery, suspense, angst, and romance! You need to read the book!
I enjoyed Nathan’s story. He is the last of the Farrell’s to get his HEA and we learn that he was in love once and was warned away. He never got over Katy and decided to go back and try again. There was a conflict over a USB drive hidden at the inn Katy manages which may give Scott Hart the answers about his wife’s murder so can’t wait to read about that one.
I did enjoy this last book in the series, but I have to admit it's my least favourite. I expected a bit more from Nathan after the build-up in previous books. We didn't really see any evidence of his bad boy ways (or even the consquences of them). The back story seemed a little rushed, and there didn't seem to be a lot of depth to Nathan and Katy's relationship.
Really enjoyed this book. Been waiting on Nathan's story since the beginning of the series. I was sent a borrowed book in return for an honest review. Yes, the love was a little rushed, but I was reading the book for entertainment not for non fiction. I felt the characters were strong and believable. The secondary characters also stole the show.
Relentless book 5 in the Fractured Farrells Series, Nathan and Katy story. Romance, Mystery, Suspense, Action. 100% a MUST READ!!! Mallory Crowe does not disappoint! Received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This book was ok. I felt the others were written better and the characters were more interesting. I found myself wanting to know more about Scott Hart! I am glad he has his own series!
This is such a good series, I devoured this book in one reading. Another fantastic book by Mallory Crowe. This family series is great. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Series has gotten better since first book but to be honest there is a spark missing in the dialogue. Just a bi5 too heavy with 5he overbearing devious unfaithful dead dad.
Mallory Crowe does not disappoint with her stories. They have romance, they have man meets girl, man loses girl then years down the line realises what he is missing and chases after it. You will have to read the book to find whether there is a happy ever after but I wouldn't bet against it if I were you.
We meet Nathan Farrell first and he's pissed off. He's just found out that the woman he's been bed-buddies with is actually married. Nathan arrives home to toss her out on her ass.
Nathan is a young, good looking billionaire from a well-to-do family. He could have everything he ever wanted but he's feeling lost and empty. After he toss's the married woman out, he proceeds to drink his face off. That doesn't work either, so he hops in a cab and heads over to his PR person's house. Nathan needs to talk to her tonight! As Nathan and Julie are talking, he realizes that he needs to go in search of the one who got away.
Then we meet Katy a young, attractive woman managing a oceanside inn in Maine. Her life hasn't always gone the way she wanted, but she's learned to deal with it. She is the youngest hotel manager from her Hospitality graduating class. Sure Katy's still single but it's not from lack of trying. Just no one can hold a candle to her "first-love". It's just another boring day at the inn and Katy's been dealing with a roof leak. Why did they spend all that money last year to only have it leaking on one of their more important customers!
Katy goes upstairs to deal with it and then hears someone walk into the room behind her. Lo and behold it's Nathan, Katy's first love! So what does she do, hides in the bathroom!
This was a great book filled with humour, intrigue, twists and some hot scenes. Nathan is out to prove that he loves Katy and that they are meant to be together. Will there be an HEA? Read it for yourself and see.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my voluntary and honest review.
With each of the Fractured Farrell books, the hero has been my favourite. However Nathan is DEFINITELY my favourite! Whilst Relentless follows the same pattern as the other Farrell books, it is in line with the legacy left them by their despicable father, Walter. The name Farrell and Trouble go together, so when Nathan decides to go and find Katy to reconnect with her, he immediately recognises the attempts at sabotage as being more sinister than at first appear. Katy is so busy trying to deal with the fallout, that despite the immediate flame of desire, really doesn't have time for an over-controlling Farrell in her life.
Nathan's catalyst moment when he realised that his life is meaningless, is interesting because it isn't dramatic or explosive. So many times it only takes a small but significant moment for a person to realise that something has to change. Nathan recognises his moment and goes for change in the same way that he has pursues all previous activities - with determination. Despite Katy's attempts to deter Nathan, he nevertheless recognises the answering flame in Katy's eyes and that gives him the courage to push through the barriers she puts up. As the pressure increases, Katy finds that Nathan is the one person she can rely on, when he comes to her rescue. But, and it's a big "But", Nathan remains a Farrell and Katy isn't at all sure that she can trust him.
As with all of Ms Crowe's books, I thoroughly enjoyed Relentless, and am looking forward to the next series that is being hinted at.
Second chance at romance between two people when their paths cross again as adults
Relentless is a second chance at romance between two people who had feelings for each other years ago as teens. The book is true to style of the series with plenty of drama mixed in with a steamy romance.
Nathan and Katy, who tell the book through alternating views, had a good chemistry that continues to build and sizzle as they grow closer again, thanks to circumstances, despite starting off the book with a more hate / tense style relationship. Their history is explained with just enough detail to fill you in as a reader as to why they are the way they are in the present, despite a number of years having passed. Both characters have emotional scars from the past that impact on them today and shape who they are but the challenge for these two is to learn to open up and let each other in in order to fully embrace a happily ever after filled with love and happiness.
Relentless is well written with a steady pace and flow. There was plenty of drama mixed with the romance and some humorous scenes that kept the story intriguing with not knowing how things would play out. While this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone with a HEA.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you enjoy slightly grittier/action style romances.
*I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
Well I never thought I would finally believe it myself this is the final and last story of the Farrells. After breaking off a relationship with a married woman, Nathan realized how happy his brothers and sister were, he wanted some of that and he knew exactly who was the woman to help him get exactly that. Katy a girl he knew and could never get over her decided that she was the one to help him. So finally he had chosen his life long partner, but with her job and life on the line, will he be able to keep her safe and get his happily ever after.
Yes I will not reveal too much in order to find out you will have to get on board this roller coaster and read the final of the Farrells and if you haven't read about the rest then do so, but in order to do that you must start with Jeans story, how a girl who worked long hours for little pay is also an heiress in (Ruthless) and then there is Robert a man who wants only to protect his family and the woman he wants for life in (Reckless), then lets not forget Logan the brother who was sent to prison by his own father in (Remorseless), Alex the brother who vowed never to marry, has he changed his mind find out in (Restless). Last but least Nathan in this exciting adventure of cat and mouse in (Relentless).
I can guarantee by the time you come to the end of this roller coaster ride jump on board you will be quite satisfied with all that you read, thanks Mal for all the romance and intriguing stories you write.
Relentless is the fifth book in the Fractured Farrells series. This book is about Nathan, the last bachelor in the family. The heroine is Katy Carey. Katy is the manager of an inn that she hopes to own someday. And, Nathan is a billionaire.
Billionaire books are very popular although I don’t like most of them. However, Mallory Crowe is so fantastic at this genre that I can never wait to read the next one.
In the past books, Nathan is considered the trouble-maker of the family. At that time he was an obnoxious user of people and didn’t care what anyone else thought of him.
However, in the first chapter of Relentless, we find out that Nathan is a changed man. Nathan kicks a naked woman out of his bed, and, boy, was I hooked! Nathan, eventually, seeks out Katy who he knew from before and hasn’t been able to forget. She refuses to give him a second thought no matter how often, and hard, he tries. Katy is a very independent woman who is not impressed by Nathan’s money or stature.
I, very much, enjoyed reading this book. The two main characters, in spite of their disagreements, are extremely likeable. And, as in every other book in this series, there is a suspense element. In this case, someone is trying to destroy the inn by causing all kinds of problems.
I highly recommend this book. It is not necessary to have read the entire series to like Nathan’s story. However, reading the other books will certainly enhance the enjoyment.
