Justin is the first real boyfriend I've ever had, and he makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Romantic, caring, and handsome as sin, he's the perfect boyfriend. Except... I can't shake the feeling there's a part of himself he's keeping from me.
Then a chance encounter with his ex-girlfriend knocks my world off its axis. She wasn't just his girlfriend; she was his submissive. In fact, all his old girlfriends were. Just not me.
But could I be?
I'm not even sure what all that entails, though my wild fantasies have me eager to find out. If he can't be who he really is with me--kink and all--we don't have a chance.
I don't want to lose him, so I'm giving this my best shot. I'm excited, but also scared. What do I really know about Justin's deepest desires?
Wild Rush is a steamy romantic novella with no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a very happy ending.
Lily has been with her boyfriend Justin for fourteen months and they're as mad as ever about each other. They're the definition of perfect relationship until a chance encounter with Justin's ex-girlfriend leaves Lily questioning whether she's actually what Justin wants. Why? Justin's ex wasn't just his ex, she was his submissive.
I think that this is the healthiest 'BDSM' relationship that I've actually read ever. Justin and Lily are so honest with each other and aren't afraid to talk about their emotions and what they need and want in a relationship.
For starters, Lily knows about Justin's past. That his ex was his submissive comes as no surprise to her because Justin has already told her about it, and the only reason it makes Lily question things is because she was already questioning them and meeting Maddie was just a catalyst to bring that forward. Lily has certainly been reading up on the various aspects of the lifestyle, and knows that she wants some part in it, but to what extent she's not sure.
Justin is really open with Lily. It's obvious that he's very afraid of losing Lily and that's why he's so cautious of entering a relationship like that with her. However, the language he uses makes it obvious that although he's very content in his relationship, he'd certainly enjoy adding a bit of extra spice to it.
I think that the characters were very believable in their desires and fears and I think that the emotional journey was not only clear but also very understandable. Justin and Lily are certainly one of my favorite couples and Sophie Brooks has definitely succeeded in creating a fantastic novel that I'd recommend to anyone who's a fan of the genre.
A Review of Wild Rush: A Bad Boy Romance by Sophie Brooks
Lily and Justin - 4 stars
This is the first book I've had the opportunity to read by Ms. Brooks. Justin and Lily have been dating for just over a year when they run into his ex at the mall. Lily knows about his past relationship with her as a Dom and after meeting Maddie, she worries that their vanilla relationship isn't enough for him. She fears that he is hiding what he really wants.
Lily's only had one real boyfriend when she was in college, so her sexual knowledge is way behind his. She wants to talk about BDSM with him and has done some research on it, but Justin keeps telling her he no longer cares about that life, that he wants what they have together. When Lily keeps pushing and presents herself to him with her hands and feet tied up, he realizes that they are going to have to talk about it.
He thinks she is just doing this because she thinks it's what he really wants, but she keeps trying to tell him that she is truly interested. They start out with simple things at first until they run into an issue while they are out that makes him decide he can no longer do this and breaks things off with Lily. What happens when she is involved in an accident and he has to face up to the fact that he loves her enough? Great storyline.

Not a good read but not horrible either, just a blah read. This book read as somewhat like a experimental walk on the bdsm side. There wasn't a connection to the main characters or the story for me, and other than some other characters mentioned their really wasn't any one to like or connect to other than our main guys. No connection equals disappointed readers. If your going to write in this genre, that has been beaten to death for the past several years, than you best write something unique and awesome to grab and keep your readers entertained. 2.5 stars I was gifted this ARC for my honest review.
Wild Rush by Sophie Brookes is a well-written, romantic, emotional story of true love, compromises, honesty, and communications. Add in some sizzling, mild BDSM scenes, an alpha bad boy, and you got a steamy read that you won't want to put down.
I volunteered to review an advance readers copy of this book.
This was a very short.. very fast pace book.... Lily and Justin!! Now Lily knew about justin dom past and all that.. the question that had her was.. how come he never did this with her?!
Same Lily same.. but they give it a go doing light bdsm stuff learning, trusting eachother even more.. until a accident happens that has justin being a douche and breaking up with Lily. 😑
But something happens to lily and he comes back.. which made me side eye he couldnt be a dom with her cuz he loved her? And couldn't hurt her? Was a bs excuse.. even Lily said so.. lily took him back to fast honestly... but they made it work.. mixed some light bdsm into their life..
Low angst, no ow/om but mentioned a old sub, no cheating, drama, sexy times
Punishment Tiny tiny break up Punishment Sex toys Hea Epilogue

I loved this book about Justin and Lily. Lily and Justin have been together for about 14 months. A trip to the mall where Justin and Lily run into Justin's ex submissive. Lily starts feeling insecure because she knew that Justin had been into the lifestyle.
So she decides she wants to learn a little about BDSM because she feels that Justin might miss it and she felt he would eventually be tired of just vanilla sex.
Things start to become interesting as Justin tests her limits but, an incident happens and Justin becomes extremely upset with himself.
He decides that there things that have to change. Will Justin and Lily's relationship survive?
I love Sophie Brooks's books. They are always very well written and have a great story in them. This is no exception. It is a wonderful romance where two people love each other greatly and and show that they trust each other greatly. It is a lighter side of BDSM with said loved one. I loved Lily's character and that she wanted to show the one she loves that she wanted to try something that he enjoyed. Justin is a strong, protective, caring and loving alpha male. This book just with all her books it is extremely well written and the flow of the story is superb. I voluntarily review an arc copy of this book.
This book is about a couple that decided to go down the bdsm road. Justin is Lily first real boyfriend and is most way this is also Justin first real relationship. That is because in the past Justin always had a bdsm relationship, absolutely no Vanilla. So when Lily meets one of Justin past submissive, she becomes intrigued in changing there relationship to bdsm and vanilla. So can they both make a change without ruining their love?.
At times felt like other books I have read but a great story.
Lily was Justin's first "vanilla" relationship and, though he claims that he doesn't miss his dominance in the bedroom, they both know that something is missing. This story explores just how far you'd be willing to go in order to please your partner.
Although there were some bumps along the way, Lily and Justin find the perfect balance of vanilla and spice to keep them happy and satisfied, in the bedroom and outside of it as well.
I really enjoyed Lily and Justin's story.

This is the first book I have read by this author. Justin and Lily have been together for just over a year. When Lily meets his ex, she becomes intrigued by her partner's former D/s relationships. The couple negotiate their relationship with some hot, light-BDSM scenes. To me, this was a sweet love story with a bit of kink & drama thrown in. Pleasurable afternoon read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
These two have been in a relationship for a year and he previously had D/s relationships before her. She convinced him to try it out with her to see if she liked it. It’s odd how reluctant Justin is to do it. It was a nice change for me to read a story about a couple already in a relationship. I received an arc of this book.
Justin and Lily have a steady, solid relationship... but is that enough?
Justin and Lily have a steady, solid relationship... but is that enough? When you are looking to be everything to someone, and for that someone to be your everything what would you do when you feared there was a part of their life you were not invited in to? Lily and Justin are just dating, now, but if they truly want their happily ever after shouldn't they face this head on?
I loved the communication and trust in this story, in large part because it is so hard, and this story captured the evolution of a relationship from dating... to something more.
I was gifted with a copy of this story, and switched to the Kindle Unlimited version when it was published. I'm honestly not sure if I would have read Wild Rush if it was not in Kindle Unlimited, there are so many books available these days, and I've already got so many bad boys on my to be read stack... but I am truly glad this one rose to the top of my list. Justin is a strong man, coming to terms with his own passions, and kinks, and focusing on how to be a responsible adult. Lily is a young, trusting woman in love... and her journey was compelling because of the many ways in which she understood how being in love played into her thinking and their relationship.
I loved this book.. Really think this is one of Sophie's best so far. I love that these two (Justin and Lily) find their way to a new kind of relationship for both of them. Justin in the fact that he use to do just BDSM with his past partners. Lily in the way that Justin is her first real boyfriend and had no idea what that meant. Justin has been very happy with their relationship as is, so has Lily. Until they have a conversation with an old sub of Justin's. Now Lily is curious. So she starts asking questions.. I love that. This isn't a book where they both just jump right in, and they have no idea what is going on. Justin has real issues on what can go wrong and what his history is. Lily trust him to walk her through it all and make it a positive experience for both of them. This is a great read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book
Can a 28 year old Dom decide to be vanilla for the girl that he loves? Well he did up until he told his girlfriend a vague idea of is past and what he did. So with the knowledge Lily started to read BDSM related stories and she has her heart set on trying to with Justin. All that changed when - the story starts out with a kiss- one of Justin's last subs kisses him in front of Lily in the mall, a small catch up and now Lily feels left out from one Lily didn't know who this perfect model was and two how Justin know all about her so she feels down. Later what she know who the woman was, asked questions upon questions and a bit of pushing Justin gives into Lily's interest in BDSM. They journey has some ups and downs but when Lily's life is threatened will their love stop and their pleasure be gone....
Lily and Justin have been dating for over a year and even though they love each other something is missing. Lily realizes that Justin is holding a part of himself back from their relationship when she meets an ex-girlfriend who is also his ex-submissive. Lily and Justin begin to incorporate BDSM into their relationship. Justin however has some reservations about adding the kinky stuff to the "vanilla" they always had. This was a great story about an established couple that has some problems to work out. I really enjoyed reading all the kinky sexy times in this book. I voluntarily received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.
Lily is madly in love with Justin, and has been for the while fourteen months they've been dating. When they happen to run into one of Justin's exes, Lily starts to question if she's enough for Justin, is there more she can't or won't give, will he realize it and leave her. Once they open up, things are great until one incident that results in Lily's heart been broken.
This was a great story about listening to your partners needs, not choosing what you think is best for them. Lily was a beautiful character that just wanted to make her man happy, Justin was the perfect boyfriend that most girls dream of having.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
How far are you willing to go to please your partner? Lily knows that Justin used to be a Dom in his relationships prior to theirs, but it never bothered her until they run into the one sub he lived with. Then she can't get it out of her mind -- is he satisfied with what they have together? She convinces him to start to play, but the D/s games soon become an issue in their relationship. But can they reach a compromise that makes them both satisfied?
This book is kind of FSoG lite where the BDSM stuff goes. And it is interesting to see how Lily and Justin work through their issues and reach an understanding!
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
I voluntarily reviewed a advanced reader copy of this book loved it so good great characters and story line Justin is my first real boyfriend and I thought every thing was going good for us until I meet is last girlfriend and she is a submissive all his girlfriends were submissive but not me so what is wrong with me and why is Justin with me can I be a submissive I want to try because if I don't I will lose him and I don't want to lose him every I fell in love with him. Great book loved it so much hot sexy steamy sense yep so good. Michelle
I am voluntarily leaving an honest review on an ARC I received of Wild Rush. Justin and Lilly are in a committed vanilla relationship. Lily learns more about Justin and his past dominant life and wants to know more. Justin has reservations about show this side of himself to Lily because he is happy with their life as is. Lily doesn't give up and Justin agrees to show her how he CNN be as a dominant and things nightmare doing in a relationship based on BDSM. WhAt he did not expect was for Lilly to like it as well as himself. Now Lily and Justin are happy and planning on getting married.

For the most part this book was SO good... Like 5+ stars awesome. I loved the first half of it, but somewhere around the middle it started to drag just a bit, Lily got a bit cloying, and (no offense) but it started seeming a bit too much like the author was just trying to show off all the BDSM terms she had learned. But, overall, the story line was great, and really well written, and I kind of loved Justin (I'm a sucker for guys who walk the line between the knight in shining armor and the guy you maybe shouldn't take home to Mom).
Our main characters are Lily and Justin. Justin is an experienced Dom. Lily is a vanilla, interested in Dom/sub play. After meeting Justin'a ex-sub Madison, Lily wants to delve into the kinky side. It takes time for her to convince Justin to give it a try. Then a couple of crazy things happen. Making you wonder is Justin going to get past these issues? Does Justin love Lily enough? Are they going to get a HEA?
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my personal and honest opinion of this book.
3.5 Stars A steamy short story that explores mild BDSM. Justin use to be a Dom but meets Lily and decides he wants a vanilla relationship. Lily knows about Justin past and wants to try more kink because she is curious and thinks he might miss this in his sex life. The story is hot, short and cute but Justin seems like a weak Dom that might be learning the ropes himself.

This story is a enlightening take on the world of BDSM. A young girl with little to no experience, and her boyfriend, who was once an active Dom. It is interesting learning along with the characters more about the BDSM life. True love and a lot of compromises happen in this story, oh, and it has some sizzling hot scenes as well. This is a fun read.
Lily and Justine have been dating for over a year, and are deeply in love and perfect for each other. While out shopping one day they bump into and ex of Justine’s who used to also be his sub. Although Lily was aware of Justine’s past with BDSM, she starts to feel that she is not enough for him. This is a well written story, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is humorous and sexy. I cannot wait to read more of this authors work. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book!
This book is a bit different than a typical bad boy romance, but in no way does that deter it from being truly enlightening and appealing to read. Justin & Lily have been together for a little over a year, but Lily feels that even though they are in love - that Justin is missing something to fully fulfill his life and their relationship, the kink!
I enjoyed reading this book as their relationship grows through trials and error.

Wild Rush is a great read. If you like BDSM then you'll definitely enjoy it. Justin and Lily have been dating for a while. While on a lunch date they run into an ex of Justin's. This encounter starts the wheels in Lily's head and she wants to find out if Justin is missing the BDSM part of his old sex life and if he would do it with her. Would she even enjoy it? Go on this ride with a new, willing sub and her hot, alpha dom. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Great story! This one was hard to put down for anything. I just wanted to keep reading to know what happens next. Kept me on the edge of my seat! Great writing, character make up, and the chemist ft between them burned up the pages. Rec'd as an ARC from the author, then bought it to support her in her writing.
Wild Rush by Sophie Brooks was a good book. I enjoyed reading Justin and Lily's story. Justin is Lily's first serious boyfriend. A chance encounter with Justin's ex makes Lily start to question things. Justin used to be in dom/ sub relationships and Lily wonders why he hasn't done so with her. I loved reading this story.
Lily and Justin are meant to be together. Plain and simple. I actually had tears in my eyes at one point while reading. She found out he was into BDSM but not with her. She wants to try it though. Very well thought out story and how they worked through things. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I'm really enjoying this series, but this wasn't my favorite book. Bethany and her boyfriend experiment with the BDSM lifestyle on her birthday. It was hot, but there was a little too much "I can't be your boyfriend and your dom." Still enjoyable, but not 5 stars like some of the others.
