Okay: A shy librarian type woman watches a man from the guest bedroom window of her ill sister's apartment. She decides WOW IF ONLY I COULD HAVE HIM JUST ONCE. She watched his exploits for 1-1/2 years.
After her sister's death, she takes ownership of the apartment. And her clothes. Her sister, Caddy, was a spitfire, beautiful, smart, outgoing, a lawyer. When she walked in the room she lit it up with her bubbliness, she drew people to her - the exact opposite of Eleanor, who is a shy, bookworm.
The plot was okay, not bad, but I kept thinking all the way through this book: WHO WOULD DO THIS? Who would seduce a man you don't know anything about except how many nights he has sex from across the way and confess to him that you've been watching him and want some too? He's mad at first about his privacy but of course he goes right along with it. What man doesn't want easy sex?
Trey Riordan is a nasty, nasty boy. He's good-looking, smart, owner of a media company but oh so dang NASTY. He's a dominant with a heart of gold and he turns Eleanor into a submissive every chance he gets. He had the stamina of a pit bull. Lucky her.
I love Beth Kerry's books but even I thought Eleanor took a big risk. Eleanor was the watcher and gradually turned into a stripper for him. Trey opened up her passionate side and she fell in love - until she finds out he knew her sister. Holy Toledo.
The supporting characters were great. And Caddy, her sister, was always in the background of this story. The dealing with loss aspect was one reason it got 4 starts. You could just feel how close she and Eleanor were and how Eleanor felt empty inside. She learned to find her own passion and Trey helped her do that. She didn't have to live through Caddy.
As usual Beth Kerry's descriptive style is easy to follow. This author cares about her characters. The passion and connection will stay with you long after your done reading. It is a fantastic novel that I didn't want to put down. Loved it!
